  • Problem importing Oracle .dmp file

    - by BitFiddler
So I have looked at all the suggested ways of importing .dmp files and non of them seem to answer this question: where does the data go once you import it? Context: I created a user like so: SQL> create user IMPORTER identified by "12345"; SQL> grant connect, unlimited tablespace, resource to IMPORTER; I then ran the 'imp' command as follows: C:\>imp system/password FROMUSER=OVIEDOE TOUSER=IMPORTER file=c:\database1.dmp Now there were 9 .dmp files, after each one it asked me for the next one and then I received the message "Import terminated successfully with warnings." The warning was: Warning: the objects were exported by OVIEDOE, not by you import done in WE8MSWIN1252 character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set export client uses WE8ISO8859P1 character set (possible charset conversion) IMP-00046: using FILESIZE value from export file of 2147483648 Now it says it was terminated successfully so my assumption (I am new to oracle so this may be wrong) is that the data was loaded. However, when I use SQL developer to connect to the database and look under the 'tables' node under the IMPORTER user, there is nothing there. What is going on? Did the data load? If so, where can I find it?

  • Scanning, Checking, Converting, Copying values ... How to ? -- C --

    - by ZaZu
Hi there, Its been a while now and im still trying to get a certain code to work. I asked some question about different commands etc. before, but now I hope this is the final one (combining all questions in one code). I basically want to : *Scan an input (should be character ? ) *Check if its a number *If not, return error *Convert that character into a float number *Copy the value to another variable ( I called it imp here) Here is what I came up with : #include<stdio.h> #include<stdlib.h> #include<ctype.h> main(){ int digits; float imp=0; int alpha; do{ printf("Enter input\n\n"); scanf("\n%c",&alpha); digits=isdigit(alpha); if(digits==0){ printf("error\n\n"); } imp=atof(alpha); }while(digits==0); } The problem is this code does not work at all ... It gives me that atof must be of a const char and whenever I try changing it around, it just keeps failing. I am frustrated and forced to ask here, because I believe I have tried alot and I keep failing, but I wont be relieved until I get it to work xD So I really need your help guys. Please tell me why isnt this code working, what am I doing wrong ? I am still learning C and really appreciate your help :)

  • Instant database snapshot

    - by raj
My product uses oracle 9 database in its backend. every week the new release of the product is launched which will want to fire some DML, DDL queries to the database. I usually test the product release in a dummy database before applying it in the main database. I create a database dump using exp command, then import them into dummy database using imp. then i test the product in the dummy database and checks if there are any errors. This exp and imp takes about 3 hours to complete. Is there any alternative as : instant snapshot of the live database (which will be independent of the live one)? or is there any option to keep dummydatabase in sync with the originl database always. Yhis can be done by making the product firing DML&DDL queries to both the databases.. but this will be a HUGE performance problem.. how can i overcome this?

  • Overlay of multiple colors in ImageJ

    - by nico
Hi everyone, I'm writing a little plugin for imageJ and I am drawing several regions as an overlay on the image. I'm using this code: ImagePlus imp = getImage(); Overlay ov = new Overlay(); for (int r=0; r<regions.length; r++) { ov.add(regions[r]); } imp.setOverlay(ov); Where regions is an array of Roi. This works as intended and draws the regions in the (hurting to my eyes) standard ImageJ cyan used for overlays. I would like to draw one particular region in another colour, but I cannot seem to find a way to do it. I found that you can change the colour of the whole overlay, but I need two colours in the same overlay. Any ideas? Thanks in advance nico

  • "org.json.JSONArray implements Serializable": What's the best option to achieve this?

    - by Daxon
I am using Grails Webflow, what ever object I pass to a view, it must be Serialized. My domain models "implement Serializable", so they work. The problem is when I get a response from a WebService. It is of the org.json.JSONArray class. I just want to pass the whole Array over to the view yet it doesn't implement Serializable, so it fails, Any thoughts on how I can pass this, or my best option? Can I just edit the source of the org.json library and make every class "imp Serializable"? Or process the result into Domain objects that do "imp Serializable"

  • Why does a delegate with no parameters compile?

    - by Ryan
I'm confused why this compiles: private delegate int MyDelegate(int p1, int p2); private void testDelegate() { MyDelegate imp = delegate { return 1; }; } MyDelegate should be a pointer to a method that takes two int parameters and returns another int, right? Why am I allowed to assign a method that takes no parameters? Interestingly, these doesn't compile (it complains about the signature mismatches, as I'd expect) private void testDelegate() { // Missing param MyDelegate imp = delegate(int p1) { return 1; }; // Wrong return type MyDelegate imp2 = delegate(int p1, int p2) { return "String"; }; } Thanks for any help! I have read all the questions I could find on it on SO, but none answers my question. I have a module foo, containing util.py and bar.py. I want to import it in IDLE or python session. How do I go about this? I could find no documentation on how to import modules not in the current directory or the default python PATH. After trying import "<full path>/foo/util.py", and from "<full path>" import util The closest I could get was import imp imp.load_source('foo.util','C:/.../dir/dir2/foo') Which gave me Permission denied on windows 7.

  • c++ design question: Can i query the base classes to find the number of derived classes satisfying a

    - by vivekeviv
I have a piece of code like this class Base { public: Base(bool _active) { active = _active; } void Configure(); void Set Active(bool _active); private: bool active; }; class Derived1 : public Base { public: Derived1(bool active):Base(active){} }; similarly Derived 2 and Derived 3 Now if i call derived1Object.Configure, i need to check how many of the derived1Obj, derived2Obj,derived3Obj is active. Should i add this in the "Base" class like a function say, GetNumberOfActive()? And If the implementation is like this: class Imp { public: void Configure() { //Code instantiating a particular Derived1/2/3 Object int GetNumberOfActiveDerivedObj(); baseRef.Configure(int numberOfActiveDerivedClasses); } prive: Derived1 dObj1(true); Derived2 dObj2(false); Derived3 dObj3(true); }; should i calculate the numberOfActive Derived Objects in Imp Class? • JavaOne Session Report - Java ME SDK 3.2

    - by Janice J. Heiss
Oracle Product Manager for Java ME SDK, Sungmoon Cho, presented a session, "Developing Java Mobile and Embedded Applications with Java ME SDK 3.2,” wherein he covered the basic new features of the Java ME Platform SDK 3.2, a state-of-the-art toolbox for developing mobile and embedded applications. The session began with a summary of the four main components of Java ME SDK. A device emulator allows developers to quickly run and test applications before commercialization. It supports CLDC/MIDP CLDC/IMP.NG and CLC/AGUI. A development environment assists writing, running debugging and deploying and enables on-device debugging. Samples provide developers with useful codes and frameworks. IDE Plugins – NetBeans and Eclipse – equip developers with CPU Profiler, Memory Monitor, Network Monitor, and Device Selector. This means that manual integration is no longer necessary. Cho then talked about the Java ME SDK’s on-device tooling architecture: * Java ME SDK provides an architecture ideal for on-device-debugging.* Device Manager plays the central role by managing different devices whether it is the emulator or a device that Oracle provides or recommends or a third party device as long as the devices have a Java Runtime that supports the protocol that is designated.* The Emulator provides an accurate emulation, since it uses the same code base used in Oracle’s Java ME runtime.* The Universal Emulator Interface (UEI) makes it easy for IDEs to detect the platform. He then focused on the Java ME SDK release highlights, which include: * Implementation and support for the new Oracle® Java Wireless Client 3.2 runtime and the Oracle® Java ME Embedded runtime. A full emulation for the runtime is provided.* Support for JSR 228, the Information Module Profile-Next Generation API (IMP-NG). This is a new profile for embedded devices. * A new Custom Device Skin Creator.* An Eclipse plugin for CLDC/MIDP.* Profiling, Network monitoring, and Memory monitoring are now integrated with the NetBeans profiling tools.* Java ME SDK Update CenterCho summarized the main features: IDE Integration (NetBeans and Eclipse) enables developers to write, run, profile, and debug their applications on their favorite IDE. CPU ProfilerThis enables developers to more quickly detect the hot spot and where CPU time is being used. They can double click the method to jump directly into the source code.Memory Monitor Developers can monitor objects and memory usage in real time.Debugger on the Emulator and DeviceDevelopers can run their applications step by step, and inspect the variables to pinpoint the problem. The debugging can take place either on the emulator or the device.Embedded Application DevelopmentIMP-NG, Device Access, Logging, and AMS API Support are now available.On-Device ToolingConnect your device to your computer, and run and debug the application right on your device.Custom Device Skin CreatorDefine your own device and test on an environment that is closest to your target device. The informative session concluded with a demo that showed more concretely how to apply the new features in Java ME SDK 3.2.

  • gunicorn + django + nginx unix://socket failed (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)

    - by user1068118
Running very high volume traffic on these servers configured with django, gunicorn, supervisor and nginx. But a lot of times I tend to see 502 errors. So I checked the nginx logs to see what error and this is what is recorded: [error] 2388#0: *208027 connect() to unix:/tmp/gunicorn-ourapp.socket failed (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) while connecting to upstream Can anyone help debug what might be causing this to happen? • Advertising Campaign Bidding Network

    - by David
I hope this is the correct stackexchange to post on. Seems to most relevant. I'm looking for more ways to monetize my site. I'm already using the usual Google Adsense, tradedoublers, ad networks, etc. What I want to know, is if anyone knows of a service/network out there (similar to tradedoubler), which allows you to accept (or bid) on campaigns (primarily CPM based). For example: I log in, I get a list of advertising campaigns that are available and the prices they are willing to pay or I can put a bid in with imp count and cpm rate. I'm looking for something ideally europe or UK based, but im open to others. Thanks!

  • How can I create animated card graphics like in Hearthstone?

    - by Appeltaart
In the game Hearthstone, there are cards with animated images on them. A few examples: http://www.hearthhead.com/card=281/argent-commander http://www.hearthhead.com/card=469/blood-imp The animations seem to be composed of multiple effects: Particle systems. Fading sprites in and out/rotating them Simple scrolling textures A distortion effect, very evident in the cape and hair of example 1. Swirling smoke effects, the light in example 1 and the green/purple glow in example 2. The first three elements are trivial, what I'd like to know is how the last two could be done. Can this even be done realtime in a game, or are they pre-rendered animations?

• Migrating RISC to x86 - endianess 'issue'

    - by llaszews
Endianess always comes up when migrating applications and databases from RISC to x86. The issue is often time overblown as if you are running on a relational database the database vendor will provide tools or automated methods to convert the data properly. Oracle RMAN is often the first choice. Oracle imp/exp, data pump, and GoldenGate can also be used. Migrating to Linux on Dell A bigger issue would be applications that access OS files. These OS files will need to be converted from big endian (RISC) to little endian (CISC) and then the application may be impacted because of the endianess differences.

  • Implementing INotifyPropertyChanged with PostSharp 1.5

    - by no9
Hello all. Im new to .NET and WPF so i hope i will ask the question correctly. I am using INotifyPropertyChanged implemented using PostSharp 1.5: [Serializable, DebuggerNonUserCode, AttributeUsage(AttributeTargets.Assembly | AttributeTargets.Class, AllowMultiple = false, Inherited = false), MulticastAttributeUsage(MulticastTargets.Class, AllowMultiple = false, Inheritance = MulticastInheritance.None, AllowExternalAssemblies = true)] public sealed class NotifyPropertyChangedAttribute : CompoundAspect { public int AspectPriority { get; set; } public override void ProvideAspects(object element, LaosReflectionAspectCollection collection) { Type targetType = (Type)element; collection.AddAspect(targetType, new PropertyChangedAspect { AspectPriority = AspectPriority }); foreach (var info in targetType.GetProperties(BindingFlags.Public | BindingFlags.Instance).Where(pi => pi.GetSetMethod() != null)) { collection.AddAspect(info.GetSetMethod(), new NotifyPropertyChangedAspect(info.Name) { AspectPriority = AspectPriority }); } } } [Serializable] internal sealed class PropertyChangedAspect : CompositionAspect { public override object CreateImplementationObject(InstanceBoundLaosEventArgs eventArgs) { return new PropertyChangedImpl(eventArgs.Instance); } public override Type GetPublicInterface(Type containerType) { return typeof(INotifyPropertyChanged); } public override CompositionAspectOptions GetOptions() { return CompositionAspectOptions.GenerateImplementationAccessor; } } [Serializable] internal sealed class NotifyPropertyChangedAspect : OnMethodBoundaryAspect { private readonly string _propertyName; public NotifyPropertyChangedAspect(string propertyName) { if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(propertyName)) throw new ArgumentNullException("propertyName"); _propertyName = propertyName; } public override void OnEntry(MethodExecutionEventArgs eventArgs) { var targetType = eventArgs.Instance.GetType(); var setSetMethod = targetType.GetProperty(_propertyName); if (setSetMethod == null) throw new AccessViolationException(); var oldValue = setSetMethod.GetValue(eventArgs.Instance, null); var newValue = eventArgs.GetReadOnlyArgumentArray()[0]; if (oldValue == newValue) eventArgs.FlowBehavior = FlowBehavior.Return; } public override void OnSuccess(MethodExecutionEventArgs eventArgs) { var instance = eventArgs.Instance as IComposed<INotifyPropertyChanged>; var imp = instance.GetImplementation(eventArgs.InstanceCredentials) as PropertyChangedImpl; imp.OnPropertyChanged(_propertyName); } } [Serializable] internal sealed class PropertyChangedImpl : INotifyPropertyChanged { private readonly object _instance; public PropertyChangedImpl(object instance) { if (instance == null) throw new ArgumentNullException("instance"); _instance = instance; } public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; internal void OnPropertyChanged(string propertyName) { if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(propertyName)) throw new ArgumentNullException("propertyName"); var handler = PropertyChanged as PropertyChangedEventHandler; if (handler != null) handler(_instance, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(propertyName)); } } } Then i have a couple of classes (user and adress) that implement [NotifyPropertyChanged]. It works fine. But what i want would be that if the child object changes (in my example address) that the parent object gets notified (in my case user). Would it be possible to expand this code so it automaticly creates listeners on parent objects that listen for changes in its child objets?
