  • Windows 8.1 touchpad three-finger-multitouch gesture gone

    - by THEVAN3D
Couple of days ago, i installed the Windows 8.1 Pro WMC and all of a sudden the touchpad gesture, which worked like a charm back in Win 8.1 preview, Win 8 and even Win 7, just stopped working. I am talking about the "Three Finger Flick" feature, which is used to go back and forward in folders and/or internet browsers at first i didnt even have the left edge pull feature, but then i added some values in this key into regedit, and now i have it [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Synaptics\SynTPEnh\ZoneConfig\TouchPadPS2\Left Edge Pull] I Googled that, i didnt know what to do by myself and i dont know where to write and what to write anything in order to get the three finger flick back too I installed various versions of drivers starting from about version 15 to the version 17.0.8.0 (the one that i currently have), and even though i have all the other gestures, taps and swipes working they are not in the device settings, there is no multitouch gestures in device settings so thats why i guess i have to write something in regedit, but again, i dont know what to write, and where to write. please help me if you can

  • How to make a slide gesture in a view?

    - by AedonEtLIRA
I have a grid layout that holds a limited 6 items per screen. This set number is just a base for the app and make it look and feel better so it must stay set to that. To get passed this and to add some flash to the app, I want to animate a style of screen change. For instance, when a finger is dragged left, push the current view to the side and bring the next it, very similar to how a gallery does it, except I would like it to be able to scroll vertical as well. Any help or tutorials will be appreciated ~Aedon.

  • iphone - gesture not working on animated view

    - by Mike
    I have this animated view and a gesture assigned to it... [self.view setUserInteractionEnabled:YES]; UIImageView *sequence = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"frame0.png"]]; [sequence setUserInteractionEnabled:YES]; sequence.center = CGPointMake(centroX, centroY); NSMutableArray *array = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init] ; for (int i=0; i<30; i++) { UIImage *oneImage = [UIImage imageNamed:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"frame%d.png",i]]; [array addObject:oneImage]; } sequence.animationImages = array; sequence.animationDuration = 1.0; sequence.animationRepeatCount = 1; [self.view addSubview:sequence]; [sequence release]; sequence.startAnimating; sequence.image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"frame29.png"]; // doSomething never runs when I tap the image... why? UITapGestureRecognizer *singleTap = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:@selector(doSomething)]; [singleTap setDelegate:self]; [singleTap setCancelsTouchesInView:NO]; [singleTap setDelaysTouchesEnded:NO]; [sequence addGestureRecognizer:singleTap]; [singleTap release]; The gesture is never called... why? I have no other gesture associated anywhere. thanks for any help.

  • xCode: iPhone Swipe Gesture crash

    - by David DelMonte
I have an app that I'd like the swipe gesture to flip to a second view. The app is all set up with buttons that work. The swipe gesture though causes a crash ( “EXC_BAD_ACCESS”.). The gesture code is: - (void)handleSwipe:(UISwipeGestureRecognizer *)recognizer { NSLog(@"%s", __FUNCTION__); switch (recognizer.direction) { case (UISwipeGestureRecognizerDirectionRight): [self performSelector:@selector(flipper:)]; break; case (UISwipeGestureRecognizerDirectionLeft): [self performSelector:@selector(flipper:)]; break; default: break; } } and "flipper" looks like this: - (IBAction)flipper:(id)sender { FlashCardsAppDelegate *mainDelegate = (FlashCardsAppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; [mainDelegate flipToFront]; } flipToBack (and flipToFront) look like this.. - (void)flipToBack { NSLog(@"%s", __FUNCTION__); BackViewController *theBackView = [[BackViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"BackView" bundle:nil]; [self setBackViewController:theBackView]; [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.0]; [UIView setAnimationTransition:UIViewAnimationTransitionFlipFromLeft forView:window cache:YES]; [frontViewController.view removeFromSuperview]; [self.window addSubview:[backViewController view]]; [UIView commitAnimations]; [frontViewController release]; frontViewController = nil; [theBackView release]; // NSLog (@" FINISHED "); } Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way... All ideas are welcome...

  • Windows Phone 7: Using Pinch Gestures For Pinch and As A Secondary Drag Gesture

    - by Roger Guess
I am using the drag gesture to move elements on a canvas. I am using the pinch gesture to zoom/tranlate the size of the canvas. What I want to do now is move the entire canvas based on the movement of both fingers in a pinch. I know I can do this with the move, but I need that for items on the canvas itself, and sometimes the entire canvas is covered with items that would make it so you could not select the canvas to move it. Is this possible with the PinchGestureEventArgs?

  • Superpower Your Touchpad Computer with Scrybe

    - by Matthew Guay
Are you looking for a way to help your Touchpad computer make you more productive?  Here’s a quick look at Scrybe, a new application from Synaptics that lets you superpower it. Touchpad devices have become increasingly more interesting as they’ve included support for multi-touch gestures.  Scrybe takes it to the next level and lets you use your touchpad as an application launcher.  You can launch any application, website, or complete many common commands on your computer with a simple gesture.  Scrybe works with most modern Synaptics touchpads, which are standard on most laptops and netbooks.  It is optimized for newer multi-touch touchpads, but can also work with standard single-touch touchpads.  It works on Windows 7, Vista, and XP, so chances are it will work with your laptop or netbook. Get Started With Scrybe Head over to the Scrybe website and download the latest version (link below).  You are asked to enter your email address, name, and information about your computer…but you actually only have to enter your email address.  Click Download when finished. Run the installer when it’s download.  It will automatically download the latest Synaptics driver for your touchpad and any other components needed for Scrybe.  Note that the Scrybe installer will ask to install the Yahoo! toolbar, so uncheck this to avoid adding this worthless browser toolbar. Using Scrybe To open an application or website with a gesture, press 3 fingers on your touchpad at once, or if your touchpad doesn’t support multi-touch gestures, then press Ctrl+Alt and press 1 finger on your touchpad.  This will open the Scrype input pane; start drawing a gesture, and you’ll see it on the grey square.  The input pane shows some default gestures you can try. Here we drew an “M”, which opens our default Music player.  As soon as you finish the gesture and lift up your finger, Scrybe will open the application or website you selected. A notification balloon will let you know what gesture was preformed. When you’re entering your gesture, the input pane will show white “ink”.  The “ink” will turn blue if the command is recognized, but will turn red if it isn’t.  If Scrybe doesn’t recognize your command, press 3 fingers and try again. Scrybe Control Panel You can open the Scrybe Control panel to enter or change commands by entering a box-like gesture, or right-clicking the Scrybe icon in your system tray and selecting “Scrybe Control Panel”. Scrybe has many pre-configured gestures that you can preview and even practice. All of the gestures in the Popular tab are preset and cannot be changed.  However, the ones in the favorites tab can be edited.  Select the gesture you wish to edit, and click the gear icon to change it.  Here we changed the email gesture to open Hotmail instead of the default Yahoo Mail. Scrybe can also help you perform many common Windows commands such as Copy and Undo.  Select the Tools tab to see all of these commands.   Scrybe has many settings you may wish to change.  Select the Preferences button in the Control Panel to change these.  Here’s some of the settings we changed. Uncheck “Display a message” to turn off the tooltip notifications when you enter a gesture Uncheck “Show symbol hints” to turn off the sidebar on the input pane Select the search engine you want to open with the Search Gesture.  The default is Yahoo, but you can choose your favorite. Adding a new Scrybe Gesture The default Scrybe options are useful, but the best part is that you can assign gestures to your own programs or websites.  Open the Scrybe control panel, and click the plus sign on the bottom left corner.  Enter a name for your gesture, and then choose if it is for a website or an application. If you want the gesture to open a website, enter the address in the box. Alternately, if you want your gesture to open an application, select Launch Application and then either enter the path to the application, or click the button beside the Launch field and browse to it. Now click the down arrow on the blue box and choose one of the gestures for your application or website. Your new gesture will show up under the Favorites tab in the Scrybe control panel, and you can use it whenever you want from Scrybe, or practice the gesture by selecting the Practice button. Conclusion If you enjoy multi-touch gestures, you may find Scrybe very useful on your laptop or netbook.  Scrybe recognizes gestures fairly easily, even if you don’t enter them perfectly correctly.  Just like pinch-to-zoom and two-finger scroll, Scrybe can quickly become something you miss on other laptops. • Creative Gesture Camera in Processing

    - by user2892963
I'm trying to use the creative gesture camera in Processing. I started with the Intel Perceptual Computing SDK, and ran into an issue. I want to get the hand openness, and I am running into some issues - no matter what, the hand.openness returns 0. It otherwise runs quite well... Some Sample code I'm trying to get to work: If you open your hand it starts printing to the console, close it and it stops. import intel.pcsdk.*; PXCUPipeline session; PXCMGesture.GeoNode hand = new PXCMGesture.GeoNode(); void setup() { session = new PXCUPipeline(this); if(!session.Init(PXCUPipeline.GESTURE)) exit(); } void draw() { background(0); if(session.AcquireFrame(false)) { if(session.QueryGeoNode(PXCMGesture.GeoNode.LABEL_BODY_HAND_PRIMARY|PXCMGesture.GeoNode.LABEL_OPEN, hand)) //Only when primary hand is open { rect(0, 0, 10, 10); println(hand.openness + " : " + frameCount); //Openness should be from 0 to 100 } session.ReleaseFrame(); } } Using the current version of Processing (2.0.3), Perceptual Computing SDK Version 7383.

  • Disable Charm bar's Touchpad gesture shortcut

    - by Chin
I'm using an Acer AO722 laptop. Everytime I slide my finger from the right edge of the touchpad (where the slider is) toward the center (mostly accidentally), the charmbar pops up and stays on the screen until I manually click on some random spots on the screen. There's no such option in the Synaptics properties: .. nor is there any in the mouse option. Is there a way to turn this shortcut off?

  • How to have a UISwipeGestureRecognizer AND UIPanGestureRecognizer work on the same view

    - by Shizam
How would you setup the gesture recognizers so that you could have a UISwipeGestureRecognizer and a UIPanGestureRecognizer work at the same time? Such that if you touch and move quickly (quick swipe) it detects the gesture as a swipe but if you touch then move (short delay between touch & move) it detects it as a pan? I've tried various permutations of requireGestureRecognizerToFail and that didn't help exactly, it made it so that if the SwipeGesture was left then my pan gesture would work up, down and right but any movement left was detected by the swipe gesture.

  • Adding GestureOverlayView to my SurfaceView class, how to add to view hierarchy?

    - by Codejoy
I was informed in a later answer that I have to add the GestureOverlayView I create in code to my view hierarchy, and I am not 100% how to do that. Below is the original question for completeness. I want my game to be able to recognize gestures. I have this nice SurfaceView class that I do an onDraw to draw my sprites, and I have a thread thats running it to call the onDraw etc . This all works great. I am trying to add the GestureOverlayView to this and it just isn't working. Finally hacked to where it doesn't crash but this is what i have public class Panel extends SurfaceView implements SurfaceHolder.Callback, OnGesturePerformedListener { public Panel(Context context) { theContext=context; mLibrary = GestureLibraries.fromRawResource(context, R.raw.myspells); GestureOverlayView gestures = new GestureOverlayView(theContext); gestures.setOrientation(gestures.ORIENTATION_VERTICAL); gestures.setEventsInterceptionEnabled(true); gestures.setGestureStrokeType(gestures.GESTURE_STROKE_TYPE_MULTIPLE); gestures.setLayoutParams(new LayoutParams(LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT, LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT)); //GestureOverlayView gestures = (GestureOverlayView) findViewById(R.id.gestures); gestures.addOnGesturePerformedListener(this); } ... ... onDraw... surfaceCreated(..); ... ... public void onGesturePerformed(GestureOverlayView overlay, Gesture gesture) { ArrayList<Prediction> predictions = mLibrary.recognize(gesture); // We want at least one prediction if (predictions.size() > 0) { Prediction prediction = predictions.get(0); // We want at least some confidence in the result if (prediction.score > 1.0) { // Show the spell Toast.makeText(theContext, prediction.name, Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } } } } The onGesturePerformed is never called. Their example has the GestureOverlay in the xml, I am not using that, my activity is simple: @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); requestWindowFeature(Window.FEATURE_NO_TITLE); Panel p = new Panel(this); setContentView(p); } So I am at a bit of a loss of the missing piece of information here, it doesn't call the onGesturePerformed and the nice pretty yellow "you are drawing a gesture" never shows up.

  • Simultaneous gesture recognizers in Iphone SDK

    - by minaevs
I need to catch two different swipping gestures using UISwipeGestureRecognizer(for example, UISwipeGestureRecognizerDirectionRight and UISwipeGestureRecognizerDirectionLeft). When I add two different recognisers with addGestureRecognizer method, only last added recognizer works. I've read that I need to implement gestureRecognizer:shouldRecognizeSimultaneouslyWithGestureRecognizer: method of UIGestureRecognizerDelegate protocol, but nothing works. Can anyone help with simple example of catching two or more same gestures? Thanks!

  • iOS: Gesture recogniser for smooth scrolling and flicking a View

    - by AppleDeveloper
I am building an iPad app where I needed to allow resizing views functionality using divider view provided between two views. This divider view is just a 20px height view between two half screen content views - please refer attached images. When user scrolls this divider view up or down, both content views changes their sizes appropriately. I have extended UIView and implemented this using touchMoved delegate as code given below in touchesMoved delegate. It works fine. The only thing is missing with TouchMoved is you can't flick divider view to top or bottom directly. You have to scroll all the way to top or bottom! To support flicking the view I have tried UIPanGestureRecognizer but I don't see smooth scrolling with it. When I handle split position change in UIGestureRecognizerStateChanged state, just touching divider view flick it to top or bottom. Handling split position change in UIGestureRecognizerStateEnded does the same but I don't see content view resizing with dividerview scrolling! Could someone please tell me how could I achieve both smooth scrolling of divider view with resizing content views(like touchMoved) and flicking the view. Any alternative approach would also fine. Thanks. - (void)touchesMoved:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { UITouch *touch = [touches anyObject]; if (touch) { CGPoint lastPt = [touch previousLocationInView:self]; CGPoint pt = [touch locationInView:self]; float offset = pt.y - lastPt.y; self.parentViewController.splitPosition = self.parentViewController.splitPosition + offset; } } - (void)handlePan:(UIPanGestureRecognizer*)recognizer { CGPoint translation = [recognizer translationInView:recognizer.view]; CGPoint velocity = [recognizer velocityInView:recognizer.view]; if (recognizer.state == UIGestureRecognizerStateBegan) { } else if (recognizer.state == UIGestureRecognizerStateChanged) { // If I change split position here, I don't see smooth scrolling dividerview...it directly jumps to the top or bottom! self.parentViewController.splitPosition = self.parentViewController.splitPosition + translation.y; } else if (recognizer.state == UIGestureRecognizerStateEnded) { // If I change split position here, the same thing happens at end and I don't see my divider view moving with my scrolling and resizing my views. self.parentViewController.splitPosition = self.parentViewController.splitPosition + translation.y; } } Initial screen Increased top view size by scrolling divider view Top view is totally hidden here but I have to scroll divider view all the way to top. I want to flick the divider view so that it directly goes from any position to top

  • iPhone: detect "touch-and-drag" gesture from UIBarButtonItem?

    - by Greg Maletic
I have an "add" button that's represented by a UIBarButtonItem. Hitting the "add" button adds an object into a list that represents a moment in time. By default, that time is "now"...but I'd like to be able to use dragging behavior to let the user specify earlier times for the object. Here's the behavior I want to implement: If the user touches on the UIBarButtonItem and lets go quickly, an object is added to the list that represents "now." If the user touches on the UIBarButtonItem and drags, a little UI pops up that shows the time that the distance of their drag represents. The further they drag, the further back in time their touch will represent. When they let go, the object representing an earlier time will get added to the list. (Though the description of the behavior is complicated, I'm convinced this will be pretty intuitive for users of the app.) I haven't implemented code for anything but the most simple touches in the past, and I'm at a loss as to the best way to try this. Does anyone have any suggestions, or could point me towards some sample code that implements something like this? Thanks very much.

  • How to create a gesture controlled rotating image for a UI

    - by ocdtrekkie
I'm trying to figure out the best way to make an image rotate along with a user's finger dragging it left or right. I want to try and match the rate a user's finger is moving with the rate the image is rotating. I've got the basic setup for my application going, with the menus and whatnot I want to have, and that's all running great on the emulator, I'm just not sure how to approach this part. I can code all the logic I need for my app, I'm just not doing to well designing the UI, I have a picture in mind, I've actually made a couple mock images of it, I just can't figure out how to get it going in Android, and any help would be appreciated.

  • Intercepting/Hijacking iPhone Touch Events for MKMapView

    - by Shawn
    Is there a bug in the 3.0 SDK that disables real-time zooming and intercepting the zoom-in gesture for the MKMapView? I have some real simple code so I can detect tap events, but there are two problems: zoom-in gesture is always interpreted as a zoom-out none of the zoom gestures update the Map's view in realtime. In hitTest, if I return the "map" view, the MKMapView functionality works great, but I don't get the opportunity to intercept the events. Any ideas? MyMapView.h: @interface MyMapView : MKMapView { UIView *map; } MyMapView.m: - (id)initWithFrame:(CGRect)frame { if (![super initWithFrame:frame]) return nil; self.multipleTouchEnabled = true; return self; } - (UIView *)hitTest:(CGPoint)point withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { NSLog(@"Hit Test"); map = [super hitTest:point withEvent:event]; return self; } - (void)touchesCancelled:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { NSLog(@"%s", __FUNCTION__); [map touchesCancelled:touches withEvent:event]; } - (void)touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event { NSLog(@"%s", __FUNCTION__); [map touchesBegan:touches withEvent:event]; } - (void)touchesMoved:(NSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event { NSLog(@"%s, %x", __FUNCTION__, mViewTouched); [map touchesMoved:touches withEvent:event]; } - (void)touchesEnded:(NSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event { NSLog(@"%s, %x", __FUNCTION__, mViewTouched); [map touchesEnded:touches withEvent:event]; }

  • Can someone explain how this IOS Pan Gesture Recognition works? [on hold]

    - by user79894
    It is ios app using Pan Gesture Recognizer It works great, but I didn't get it. I wanna do some changes if the dragged UIView reaches a specific position it would call another method. Any comments are appreciated. - (IBAction)handlePan1:(UIPanGestureRecognizer *)recognizer { CGPoint translation = [recognizer translationInView:self.view]; recognizer.view.center = CGPointMake(recognizer.view.center.x + translation.x, recognizer.view.center.y + translation.y); [recognizer setTranslation:CGPointMake(0, 0) inView:self.view]; /* [x1 setText:[NSString stringWithFormat: @"%.2f", recognizer.view.center.x]]; [y1 setText:[NSString stringWithFormat: @"%.2f", recognizer.view.center.y]]; [x2 setText:[NSString stringWithFormat: @"%.2f", translation.x]]; [y2 setText:[NSString stringWithFormat: @"%.2f", translation.y]];*/ }

  • windows mobile 6.5 Gestures and DirectDraw

    - by ArjanW
I'm trying to build a UI using directdraw in c#. For this im using a DirectDrawWrapper as sugested here. My initial tests setting up the screen work perfectly. But now i'd like to incorporate gesture recognition into the UI. So i instantiate a GestureRecognizer and tie it to the _form which also gets passed to the DirectDrawGraphics constructor, form = new Form(); _form.show(); _graphics = new DirectDrawGraphics(_form, CooperativeFlags.Fullscreen, BackbufferMode.Any); gestureRecognizer = new GestureRecognizer(); gestureRecognizer.TargetControl = _form; Pasting the whole DirectDrawWrapper code might be a bit to much, so let me try to formulate a question. I guess directdraw talks directly to the video memory, as it should. But then my form wont receive any messages, thus any eventhandlers i'v tied op to the GestureRecognizer wont be fired. How can i still receive any messages from the touchscreen?

  • Is there a high-level gestures library for iPhone development?

    - by n8gray
The iPhone platform has a number of common gesture idioms. For example, there are taps, pinches, and swipes, each with varying number of fingers. But when you're developing an app, it's up to you to implement these things based on low-level information about the number and locations of touches. It seems like this is a prime candidate for a library. You would register a delegate, set some parameters like multi-tap interval and swipe threshold, and get calls like swipeStarted/Ended, pinchStarted/Ended, multiTap, etc. Does such a library exist?

  • Change the contents of a UITableView via a swipe?

    - by Mark
Im currently using a UITableView like any other, and I am researching into the ability to perform a swipe gesture on the screen, which will then shift the contents of the visible table over to display new content for example: swiping right-to-left on the screen would change (via animation) the contents within each of the cells on screen to show new data. What I can do is detect a swipe on the cells, or perhaps on the UITableViewController, but what I dont know how to do two fold: 1) Change data in all cells (could you have a set of hidden views within a custom table cell that animate in and out of each cell per swipe?) 2) How can you do this to all cells? Thanks a lot Mark

  • How to disable other touch gestures after adding another tap gesture to the view?

    - by Hudson Duan
I have a view with some tables and buttons on it, and then I want to add a tap gesture to the entire view, but I only want that gesture recognizer to recognize taps. Ideally, I want to do something when the added gesture recognizer is tapped, then remove that gesture recognizer after so the other buttons and tables can be accessed. Basically a tap to dismiss functionality that replicates something like the facebook notifications window, tap outside to dismiss, but not interfere with the buttons outside of the notifications view. Can anybody help? My current code is: NotificationsWindow *customView = [[[NSBundle mainBundle]loadNibNamed:@"NotificationsWindow" owner:self options:nil]objectAtIndex:0]; customView.frame= CGRectMake(12, 12, customView.frame.size.width, customView.frame.size.height); UITapGestureRecognizer *recognizerForSubView = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:@selector(handleTapBehindAgain:)]; [recognizerForSubView setNumberOfTapsRequired:1]; recognizerForSubView.cancelsTouchesInView = NO; //So the user can still interact with controls in the modal view [customView addGestureRecognizer:recognizerForSubView]; [self.view addSubview:customView]; UITapGestureRecognizer *recognizerForSuperView = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:@selector(handleTapBehind:)]; [recognizerForSuperView setNumberOfTapsRequired:1]; recognizerForSuperView.cancelsTouchesInView = NO; //So the user can still interact with controls in the modal view [customView.superview addGestureRecognizer:recognizerForSuperView]; (void)handleTapBehind:(UITapGestureRecognizer *)sender { NSLog(@"tapped"); [[self.view.subviews lastObject] removeFromSuperview]; [self.view removeGestureRecognizer:sender]; } I want to make it so that the recognizer for the super view dismisses the subview, but not to interfere with the other taps on the super view.

  • Trouble with detecting gestures over ListView

    - by Andrew
I have an Activity that contains a ViewFlipper. The ViewFlipper includes 2 layouts, both of which are essentially just ListViews. So the idea here is that I have two lists and to navigate from one to the other I would use a horizontal swipe. I have that working. However, what ever list item your finger is on when the swipe begins executing, that item will also be long-clicked. Here is the relevant code I have: public class MyActivity extends Activity implements OnItemClickListener, OnClickListener { private static final int SWIPE_MIN_DISTANCE = 120; private static final int SWIPE_MAX_OFF_PATH = 250; private static final int SWIPE_THRESHOLD_VELOCITY = 200; private GestureDetector mGestureDetector; View.OnTouchListener mGestureListener; class MyGestureDetector extends SimpleOnGestureListener { @Override public boolean onFling(MotionEvent e1, MotionEvent e2, float velocityX, float velocityY) { try { if (Math.abs(e1.getY() - e2.getY()) > SWIPE_MAX_OFF_PATH) return false; // right to left swipe if(e1.getX() - e2.getX() > SWIPE_MIN_DISTANCE && Math.abs(velocityX) > SWIPE_THRESHOLD_VELOCITY) { if (mCurrentScreen != SCREEN_SECONDLIST) { mCurrentScreen = SCREEN_SECONDLIST; mFlipper.setInAnimation(inFromRightAnimation()); mFlipper.setOutAnimation(outToLeftAnimation()); mFlipper.showNext(); updateNavigationBar(); } } else if (e2.getX() - e1.getX() > SWIPE_MIN_DISTANCE && Math.abs(velocityX) > SWIPE_THRESHOLD_VELOCITY) { if (mCurrentScreen != SCREEN_FIRSTLIST) { mCurrentScreen = SCREEN_FIRSTLIST; mFlipper.setInAnimation(inFromLeftAnimation()); mFlipper.setOutAnimation(outToRightAnimation()); mFlipper.showPrevious(); updateNavigationBar(); } } } catch (Exception e) { // nothing } return true; } } @Override public boolean onTouchEvent(MotionEvent event) { if (mGestureDetector.onTouchEvent(event)) return true; else return false; } ViewFlipper mFlipper; private int mCurrentScreen = SCREEN_FIRSTLIST; private ListView mList1; private ListView mList2; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); requestWindowFeature(Window.FEATURE_NO_TITLE); setContentView(R.layout.layout_flipper); mFlipper = (ViewFlipper) findViewById(R.id.flipper); mGestureDetector = new GestureDetector(new MyGestureDetector()); mGestureListener = new View.OnTouchListener() { public boolean onTouch(View v, MotionEvent event) { if (mGestureDetector.onTouchEvent(event)) { return true; } return false; } }; // set up List1 screen mList1List = (ListView)findViewById(R.id.list1); mList1List.setOnItemClickListener(this); mList1List.setOnTouchListener(mGestureListener); // set up List2 screen mList2List = (ListView)findViewById(R.id.list2); mList2List.setOnItemClickListener(this); mList2List.setOnTouchListener(mGestureListener); } … } If I change the "return true;" statement from the GestureDetector to "return false;", I do not get long-clicks. Unfortunately, I get regular clicks. Does anyone know how I can get around this?
