  • WPF ComboBox IsSynchronised Default Value

    - by LnDCobra
    I am trying to display a default value (or even NO value) when selected index is -1, or selecteditem is null. This normally works perfectly fine but when I enable IsSynchronizedWithCurrentItem and set it to True, the first value in my DataTable gets displayed. How can I have both IsSynchronizedWithCurrentItem ="True" and show no/default value when it is loaded. My Combo Box XAML: <GroupBox Name="ClientGroup" Header="Client" Margin="63,182,0,177" FontSize="14" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Width="298"> <ComboBox Name="Supplier" Grid.IsSharedSizeScope="True" ItemsSource="{Binding}" IsEditable="True" Text="Please Choose..." TextSearch.TextPath="CompanyName" IsSynchronizedWithCurrentItem="True" Height="23" VerticalAlignment="Top" Margin="0,6,6,0" FontSize="11" StaysOpenOnEdit="True"> <ComboBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid Margin="0,5,0,5"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto" SharedSizeGroup="CompanyName" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto" SharedSizeGroup="EIC" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <TextBlock Text="{Binding CompanyName}" Grid.Column="0" /> <TextBlock Text="{Binding EIC, StringFormat=' ({0})'}" Grid.Column="1" FontFamily="Courier New" FontWeight="Bold" FontSize="12" /> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ComboBox.ItemTemplate> </ComboBox> </GroupBox> My CS code behind: ClientGroup.DataContext = (new CompanyDealsDataSetTableAdapters.CompanyTableAdapter()).GetData(); When I start my application it automatically selects the first row in my data table. It works as expected when I remove IsSynchronizedWithCurrentItem. Any ideas?

  • How to get a TextBlock to right-align?

    - by Edward Tanguay
    How do I get the TextBlock in my status bar below to align to the right? I've told it to: HorizontalAlignment="Right" TextAlignment="Right" but the text is still sitting unobediently on the left. What else do I have to say? <Window x:Class="TestEvents124.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="Window1" Height="300" MaxWidth="700" Width="700" > <DockPanel HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" Margin="0,0,0,0" Width="Auto"> <StatusBar Width="Auto" Height="25" Background="#888" DockPanel.Dock="Bottom" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch"> <TextBlock Width="Auto" Height="Auto" Foreground="#fff" Text="This is the footer." • WPF RadioButton selected in UI, but seen by code as IsChecked == false

    - by Mike
    I have some radio buttons in a group box. I select the buttons randomly, and all works perfectly from a visual standpoint and also the event handler is called each time a new button is selected. Now I have a dependency property with a callback when the value changes. When in this callback procedure I read the IsChecked value of any button, the value is False, in spite the button is visually selected (they are all false at the same time, strange). The debugger also displays all buttons unchecked. Hu hu, I'm lacking ideas about the reason, after the basic verifications... <GroupBox> <StackPanel> <RadioButton x:Name="btNone" Content="Disconnected" IsChecked="True" Checked="OnSelChecked"/> <RadioButton x:Name="btManual" Content="Manual" Checked="OnSelChecked"/> </StackPanel> </GroupBox> Event handler: private void OnSelChecked(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { if (btManual.IsChecked == true) { // is called } } Dependency property: public static readonly DependencyProperty ManualProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("Manual", typeof(Position), typeof(SwitchBox), new FrameworkPropertyMetadata(null, FrameworkPropertyMetadataOptions.AffectsRender, new PropertyChangedCallback(OnManualChanged))); Dependency property callback: private static void OnManualChanged(DependencyObject sender, DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs args) { SwitchBox box = sender as SwitchBox; if (box.btManual.IsChecked == true) { // never true, why?? } }

  • Prevent WPF control from expanding beyond viewable area

    - by Dan dot net
    I have an Items Control in my user control with a scroll viewer around it for when it gets too big (Too big being content is larger than the viewable area of the user control). The problem is that the grid that it is all in just keeps expanding so that the scroll viewer never kicks in (unless I specify an exact height for the grid). See code below and thanks in advance. <Grid HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Height="300px"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="*" /> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <GroupBox FontWeight="Bold" Header="Tables" Padding="2"> <ScrollViewer> <ItemsControl FontWeight="Normal" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=AvailableTables}"> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <CheckBox Content="{Binding Path=DisplayName}" IsChecked="{Binding Path=IsSelected}" Margin="2,3.5" /> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl> </ScrollViewer> </GroupBox> </Grid> I would like to not specify the height.

  • WPF ComboBox in Grid Issue

    - by Nathan
    I am trying to put a series of comboboxes in a grid and then I bind them to a list. For some reason unknown to me when I click the open button on the combobox nothing happens. If I move a comobobox outside the grid it opens just fine. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong here. It has to be something stupid because I've used comoboxes before just fine. Here is my xaml: <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="*" /> <RowDefinition Height="*" /> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <GroupBox Header="Download Critera" Margin="70,30" Name="groupBox1" Grid.RowSpan="2"> <Grid Height="Auto" Name="grid1" Width="Auto" Margin="0" IsHitTestVisible="False"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition /> <RowDefinition /> <RowDefinition /> <RowDefinition /> <RowDefinition /> <RowDefinition /> <RowDefinition /> <RowDefinition /> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="*" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="*" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <TextBlock Grid.Row="1" Margin="10,5,5,5" Name="textBlock1" Text="A:" Foreground="Black" VerticalAlignment="Center" FontSize="14" FontWeight="Bold" /> <TextBlock Grid.Row="2" Margin="10,5,5,5" Name="textBlock2" Text="B:" Foreground="Black" VerticalAlignment="Center" FontWeight="Bold" /> <TextBlock Grid.Row="3" Margin="10,5,5,5" Name="textBlock3" Text="C:" Foreground="Black" VerticalAlignment="Center" FontWeight="Bold" /> <TextBlock Grid.Row="4" Margin="10,5,5,5" Name="textBlock4" Foreground="Black" Text="D:" VerticalAlignment="Center" FontWeight="Bold" /> <TextBlock Grid.Row="5" Margin="10,5,5,5" Name="textBlock5" Text="E:" Foreground="Black" TextAlignment="Left" VerticalAlignment="Center" FontWeight="Bold" /> <ComboBox x:Name="cb1" Grid.Column="1" Grid.Row="1" Margin="5" MaxDropDownHeight="100" ItemsSource="{Binding Projects}"/> <ComboBox x:Name="cb2" Grid.Column="1" Grid.Row="2" Margin="5" MaxDropDownHeight="100" ItemsSource="{Binding Projects}"/> <ComboBox x:Name="cb3" Grid.Column="1" Grid.Row="3" Margin="5" MaxDropDownHeight="100" ItemsSource="{Binding Projects}"/> <ComboBox x:Name="cb4" Grid.Column="1" Grid.Row="4" Margin="5" MaxDropDownHeight="100" ItemsSource="{Binding Projects}"/> <ComboBox x:Name="cb5" Grid.Column="1" Grid.Row="5" Margin="5" MaxDropDownHeight="100" ItemsSource="{Binding Projects}"/> </Grid> </GroupBox> </Grid>

  • [NSIS] Custom radio-buttom INI page via Eclipse

    - by Omegazero
    I'm using Eclipse's create InstallOptions menu to create a custom INI page with radio-buttons for repackaging the Blackberry Desktop installer. There are 2 sections for each type: "Internet" and "Enterprise". I need a user to select 1 of the 2 options and depending on their selection, the page will carry over the selection chosen in the custom page, jump to the INSTFILES page, and continue onto the end. I couldn't find any concrete documentation on getting INI pages to load in the script (I'm probably searching incorrectly), and then pass data from one page to the next (according to fields I guess?) Any help is appreciated. Even if it's to tell me I'm blind and can't read a doc (though a link would help :) ) Here's the INI code: ; Auto-generated by EclipseNSIS InstallOptions Script Wizard ; Jul 29, 2009 5:42:56 PM [Settings] NumFields=7 Title=RIM BlackBerry Desktop 5.0 installation CancelEnabled=1 [Field 1] Type=RadioButton Left=15 Top=28 Right=100 Bottom=38 Text=Internet State= Flags=NOTIFY [Field 4] Type=RadioButton Left=15 Top=95 Right=100 Bottom=105 Text=Enterprise Flags=NOTIFY [Field 2] Type=GroupBox Left=0 Top=10 Right=300 Bottom=75 Text= [Field 5] Type=Label Left=30 Top=42 Right=235 Bottom=52 Text=For users who are NOT on the Enterprise (Exchange) server [Field 6] Type=Label Left=30 Top=111 Right=235 Bottom=121 Text=Choose this only if you are on the Exchange server [Field 3] Type=GroupBox Left=0 Top=75 Right=300 Bottom=140 [Field 7] Type=Label Left=0 Top=0 Right=130 Bottom=10 Text=Please choose your installation method ...And here's the NSI code: Auto-generated by EclipseNSIS Script Wizard Jul 29, 2009 5:42:16 PM Name "BlackBerry Desktop" RequestExecutionLevel admin General Symbol Definitions !define VERSION 5.0.0.11 !define COMPANY RIM !define URL http://www.blackberry.com MUI Symbol Definitions !define MUI_ICON BBD.ico !define MUI_LICENSEPAGE_RADIOBUTTONS Included files !include Sections.nsh !include MUI2.nsh Reserved Files ReserveFile "${NSISDIR}\Plugins\AdvSplash.dll" Installer pages !insertmacro MUI_PAGE_WELCOME !insertmacro MUI_PAGE_LICENSE license.txt !insertmacro MUI_PAGE_COMPONENTS !insertmacro MUI_PAGE_INSTFILES !insertmacro MUI_PAGE_FINISH Installer languages !insertmacro MUI_LANGUAGE English Installer attributes OutFile RIM_BlackBerry_Desktop_5.0.exe InstallDir "$TEMP\RIM BlackBerry Desktop 5.0 Setup Files" CRCCheck on XPStyle on ShowInstDetails hide VIProductVersion 5.0.0.11 VIAddVersionKey /LANG=${LANG_ENGLISH} ProductName "BlackBerry Desktop" VIAddVersionKey /LANG=${LANG_ENGLISH} ProductVersion "${VERSION}" VIAddVersionKey /LANG=${LANG_ENGLISH} CompanyName "${COMPANY}" VIAddVersionKey /LANG=${LANG_ENGLISH} CompanyWebsite "${URL}" VIAddVersionKey /LANG=${LANG_ENGLISH} FileVersion "${VERSION}" VIAddVersionKey /LANG=${LANG_ENGLISH} FileDescription "" VIAddVersionKey /LANG=${LANG_ENGLISH} LegalCopyright "" Installer sections Section /o Main SEC0000 SetOutPath $INSTDIR SetOverwrite ifdiff ; TESTING PHASE SectionEnd SectionGroup /e "BlackBerry Desktop Section" Section /o Internet SEC0001 SetOutPath $INSTDIR\DRIVERS SetOverwrite ifdiff ; Execwait 'msiexec /i "$INSTDIR\BlackBerry USB and Modem Drivers_ENG (DM5.0b28).msi" /passive' SetOutPath $INSTDIR SetOverwrite ifdiff ; File /r * ; ExecWait '"$INSTDIR\Setup.exe" /S/v/qb!' It creates an empty row into dataGrid1 and no text is shown there. my xaml implementation is this: <GroupBox Canvas.Left="-0.003" Canvas.Top="0" Header="Display Results" Height="427.5" Name="groupBox2" Width="645.56"> <toolkit:DataGrid Canvas.Left="137.5" Canvas.Top="240" Height="392" Name="dgrDocumentList" Width="627" ItemsSource="{Binding DocumentList }"> <toolkit:DataGrid.Columns> <toolkit:DataGridTextColumn Header="Type" Binding="{Binding type}" IsReadOnly="True"> </toolkit:DataGridTextColumn> <toolkit:DataGridHyperlinkColumn Header="Uri" Binding="{Binding path}" IsReadOnly="True"> </toolkit:DataGridHyperlinkColumn> <toolkit:DataGridTextColumn Header="Cosine" Binding="{Binding cos}" IsReadOnly="True"> </toolkit:DataGridTextColumn> <toolkit:DataGridTextColumn Header="Dice" Binding="{Binding dice}" IsReadOnly="True"> </toolkit:DataGridTextColumn> <toolkit:DataGridTextColumn Header="Jaccard" Binding="{Binding jaccard}" IsReadOnly="True"> </toolkit:DataGridTextColumn> </toolkit:DataGrid.Columns> </toolkit:DataGrid> </GroupBox> and my DocumentList class class DocumentList { public List<WordList> wordList; public string type; public string path; public double cos; public double dice; public double jaccard; //public static string title; public DocumentList(List<WordList> wordListt, string typee, string pathh, double sm11, double sm22, double sm33) { type = typee; wordList = wordListt; path = pathh; cos = sm11; dice = sm22; jaccard = sm33; } I would like to do that: When i add a new element into documentList instance, would like to see the results on data grid. Thank you in advance.

  • XamDataGrid Binding problem

    - by Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman
    I want to bind a cell of a XamDataGrid using ComboBox control through a collection's(CurrentEntity.INVTransactions) property(BatchList) but it does not work. I'm using mvvm pattern.In my code "BatchId" and "BatchList" are the properties of CurrentEntity.INVTransactions collection. would you please tell me why the comboBox of the xamDataGrid doesn't display the BatchList? sample code: <UserControl x:Class="PDCL.ERP.Modules.Inventory.Views.RequisitionList.RequisitionInfoUserControl" ...> <GroupBox Grid.Column="0" Grid.Row="1" Grid.ColumnSpan="2" Header="Details" VerticalAlignment="Top" Margin="5,0,5,0"> <Grid> <igDP:XamDataGrid Margin="2" DataSource="{Binding CurrentEntity.INVTransactions}" x:Name="requisitionDeailsGrid" InitializeRecord="requisitionDeailsGrid_InitializeRecord"> <igDP:XamDataGrid.FieldLayoutSettings> <igDP:FieldLayoutSettings HighlightAlternateRecords="True" AutoGenerateFields="False" AllowAddNew="True" AddNewRecordLocation="OnBottom" AutoFitMode="Always" SupportDataErrorInfo="RecordsAndCells" DataErrorDisplayMode="ErrorIcon" /> </igDP:XamDataGrid.FieldLayoutSettings> <igDP:XamDataGrid.FieldLayouts> <igDP:FieldLayout> <igDP:FieldLayout.Fields> <igDP:Field Name="Remarks" Label="Remarks" Width="Auto"> <igDP:Field.Settings> <igDP:FieldSettings AllowEdit="True" AllowResize="True"/> </igDP:Field.Settings> </igDP:Field> <igDP:Field Name="BatchId" Label="Batch" Width="Auto"> <igDP:Field.Settings> <igDP:FieldSettings EditorType="{x:Type igEditors:XamComboEditor}"> <igDP:FieldSettings.EditorStyle> <Style TargetType="{x:Type igEditors:XamComboEditor}"> <Setter Property="ItemsSource" Value="{Binding INVTransactions.BatchList, RelativeSource = {RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType={x:Type igDP:XamDataGrid}, AncestorLevel=1}}" /> <Setter Property="DisplayMemberPath" Value="BatchName" /> <Setter Property="ValuePath" Value="BatchId" /> </Style> </igDP:FieldSettings.EditorStyle> </igDP:FieldSettings> </igDP:Field.Settings> </igDP:Field> <igDP:Field Name="Qty" Label="Qty Supplied" Width="Auto"> <igDP:Field.Settings> <igDP:FieldSettings AllowEdit="True" AllowResize="True"/> </igDP:Field.Settings> </igDP:Field> </igDP:FieldLayout.Fields> </igDP:FieldLayout> </igDP:XamDataGrid.FieldLayouts> </igDP:XamDataGrid> </Grid> </GroupBox> </UserControl> The output window shows the error "BindingExpression path error: 'INVTransactions' property not found on 'object' ''XamDataGrid' (Name='requisitionDeailsGrid')'. BindingExpression:Path=INVTransactions.BatchList; DataItem='XamDataGrid' (Name='requisitionDeailsGrid'); target element is 'XamComboEditor' (Name=''); target property is 'ItemsSource' (type 'IEnumerable')"

  • CommandBinding broken in inner Custom Control when nesting two Custom Controls of the same type.

    - by Fredrik Eriksson
    I've done a Custom Control in form of a GroupBox but with an extra header which purpose is to hold a button or a stackpanel with buttons at the other side. I've added the a Dependency Property to hold the extra header and I've connected the customized template. Everything works fine until I put one of these controls in another one. Now the wierd stuff begins(at least in my eyes xP), the command binding in the inner control simply isn't set. I tried to use Snoop to gather some data, the see if the inherits is broken and when I clicked on the buttons which isn't doing what I want it to, boom, breakpoint triggered. So in some wierd way the Command isn't set until something that I don't know what it is, happens, which snoops triggers. I've also tried to put the buttons in the regular Header property and that works fine, but not with my own made. I could just switch places with them to make it like I want but now I'm curious to know where the problem lies... Now I wonder, what can I've missed? The control class: public class TwoHeaderedGroupBox : GroupBox { static TwoHeaderedGroupBox() { DefaultStyleKeyProperty.OverrideMetadata(typeof(TwoHeaderedGroupBox), new FrameworkPropertyMetadata(typeof(TwoHeaderedGroupBox))); } public static DependencyProperty HeaderTwoProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("HeaderTwo", typeof(object), typeof(TwoHeaderedGroupBox), new FrameworkPropertyMetadata()); public object HeaderTwo { get { return (object)GetValue(HeaderTwoProperty); } set { SetValue(HeaderTwoProperty, value);} } } And here is the Template (which by the way is created by blend from the beginning): <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type Controls:TwoHeaderedGroupBox}"> <Grid SnapsToDevicePixels="true"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="6"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="6"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> <RowDefinition Height="6"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Border BorderBrush="Transparent" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" Grid.ColumnSpan="4" Grid.Column="0" CornerRadius="4" Grid.Row="1" Grid.RowSpan="3"/> <Border x:Name="Header" Grid.Column="1" Padding="3,1,3,0" Grid.Row="0" Grid.RowSpan="2" VerticalAlignment="Center"> <ContentControl Content="{TemplateBinding Header}" SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding SnapsToDevicePixels}"/> </Border> <ContentPresenter Grid.ColumnSpan="2" Grid.Column="1" Margin="{TemplateBinding Padding}" Grid.Row="2" SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding SnapsToDevicePixels}"/> <Border BorderBrush="White" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Grid.ColumnSpan="4" CornerRadius="4" Grid.Row="1" Grid.RowSpan="3"> <Border.OpacityMask> <MultiBinding ConverterParameter="7" Converter="{StaticResource BorderGapMaskConverter}"> <Binding ElementName="Header" Path="ActualWidth"/> <Binding Path="ActualWidth" RelativeSource="{RelativeSource Self}"/> <Binding Path="ActualHeight" RelativeSource="{RelativeSource Self}"/> </MultiBinding> </Border.OpacityMask> <Border BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" CornerRadius="3"> <Border BorderBrush="White" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" CornerRadius="2"/> </Border> </Border> <Border x:Name="HeaderTwo" Grid.Column="2" Padding="3,5,3,5" Grid.Row="0" Grid.RowSpan="2" HorizontalAlignment="Right"> <ContentControl Content="{TemplateBinding HeaderTwo}" SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding SnapsToDevicePixels}" DataContext="{TemplateBinding DataContext}"/> </Border> </Grid> </ControlTemplate>

  • WPF: Focus in a Window and UserControl

    - by Echilon
    I'm trying to get a UserControl to tab properly and am baffled. The logical tree looks like this. |-Window -Grid -TabControl -TabItem -StackPanel -MyUserControl |-StackPanel -GroupBox -Grid -ComboBox -Textbox1 -Textbox2 Everything works fine, except when the visibility converter for the ComboBox returns Visibility.Collapsed (don't allow user to change database mode), then when textbox1 is selected, instead of being able to tab through the controls in the UserControl, the focus shifts to a button declared at the bottom of the window. Nothing else apart from the controls displayed has TabIndex or FocusManager properties set. I'm banging my head against a brick wall and I must be missing something. I've tried IsFocusScope=True/False, played with FocusedElement and nothing works if that ComboBox is invisible (Visibility.Collapsed). <Window x:Class="MyNamespace.Client.WinInstaller" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" FocusManager.FocusedElement="{Binding ElementName=tabWizard}"> <Window.Resources> <props:Settings x:Key="settings" /> </Window.Resources> <Grid Grid.IsSharedSizeScope="True"> <!-- row and column definitions omitted --> <loc:SmallHeader Grid.Row="0" x:Name="headerBranding" HeaderText="Setup" /> <TabControl x:Name="tabWizard" DataContext="{StaticResource settings}" SelectedIndex="0" FocusManager.IsFocusScope="True"> <TabItem x:Name="tbStart" Height="0"> <StackPanel> <TextBlock Text="Database Mode"/> <loc:DatabaseSelector x:Name="dbSelector" AllowChangeMode="False" TabIndex="1" AvailableDatabaseModes="SQLServer" IsPortRequired="False" DatabaseMode="{Binding Default.DbMode,Mode=TwoWay,UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" DatabasePath="{Binding Default.DatabasePath,Mode=TwoWay,UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}"/> </StackPanel> </TabItem> ... The top of the user control is below: <UserControl x:Class="MyNamespace.Client.DatabaseSelector" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" x:Name="root" FocusManager.IsFocusScope="True" FocusManager.FocusedElement="{Binding ElementName=cboDbMode}"> <UserControl.Resources> <conv:DatabaseModeIsFileBased x:Key="DatabaseModeIsFileBased"/> <BooleanToVisibilityConverter x:Key="BooleanToVisibilityConverter"/> </UserControl.Resources> <StackPanel DataContext="{Binding}"> <GroupBox> <Grid> <!-- row and column definitions omitted --> <Label Content="Database Mode"/> <ComboBox x:Name="cboDbMode" SelectedValue="{Binding ElementName=root,Path=DatabaseMode,Mode=TwoWay,UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" DisplayMemberPath="Value" SelectedValuePath="Key" TabIndex="1" Visibility="{Binding AllowChangeMode,ElementName=root,Converter={StaticResource BooleanToVisibilityConverter}}" /> <!-- AllowChangeMode is a DependencyProperty on the UserControl --> <Grid><!-- row and column definitions omitted --> <Label "Host"/> <TextBox x:Name="txtDBHost" Text="{Binding ElementName=root,Path=DatabaseHost,Mode=TwoWay,UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" TabIndex="2" /> <TextBox x:Name="txtDBPort" Text="{Binding ElementName=root,Path=DatabasePortString,Mode=TwoWay,UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" TabIndex="3" />

  • Templates and inheritance

    - by mariusz
    Hello, I have a big problem. I use additional controls for Wpf. One of them is Telerik RadWindow This control is already templated. Now I want to create custom Window with will inherit from RadWindow, and make custom template, eg. One base window will contains grid and two buttons, second base window will contain two grids (master - detail). The problem is that templates do not support inheritance. Perhaps is another way to template only the content of Winodow? My code, that doesn't work (empty window appears, so template doesn't apply) <Style TargetType="{x:Type local:TBaseRjWindow}"> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type local:TBaseRjContent}"> <Border Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}"> <Grid Name="mGrid"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition /> <RowDefinition MaxHeight="40" MinHeight="30" /> <RowDefinition MaxHeight="40" MinHeight="30" /> <RowDefinition Height="Auto" /> <RowDefinition MaxHeight="40" MinHeight="30" /> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <telerik:RadGridView Margin="10,10,10,10" Name="grid" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="0" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" ScrollMode="Deferred" AutoGenerateColumns="False" Width="Auto" > </telerik:RadGridView> <telerik:RadDataPager Grid.Row="1" Grid.Column="0" x:Name="radDataPager" PageSize="50" AutoEllipsisMode="None" DisplayMode="First, Previous, Next, Text" Margin="10,0,10,0"/> <StackPanel Grid.Row="1" Grid.Column="0" Margin="5 5 5 5" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Orientation="Horizontal" Height="20" Width="Auto" VerticalAlignment="Center" > <telerik:RadButton x:Name="btAdd" Margin="5 0 5 0" Content="Dodaj" /> <telerik:RadButton x:Name="btEdit" Margin="5 0 5 0" Content="Edytuj" /> <telerik:RadButton x:Name="btDelete" Margin="5 0 5 0" Content="Usun" /> </StackPanel> <StackPanel Name="addFields" Background="LightGray" Visibility="Collapsed" VerticalAlignment="Top" Grid.Row="2" Grid.Column="0" Width="Auto" Height="Auto" Orientation="Horizontal"> <GroupBox Header="Szczegoly" Margin="2 2 2 2" > <Grid VerticalAlignment="Top" DataContext="{Binding SelectedItem, ElementName=grid}" Name="_gAddFields" Margin="0 0 0 0" Width="Auto" Height="Auto" > </Grid> </GroupBox> </StackPanel> <StackPanel Grid.Row="3" Grid.Column="0" Margin="5 5 5 5" HorizontalAlignment="Right" Orientation="Horizontal" Height="25" Width="Auto" VerticalAlignment="Center" > <telerik:RadButton x:Name="btSave" IsDefault="True" Width="60" Margin="5 0 5 0" Content="Zapisz" /> <telerik:RadButton x:Name="btOK" IsDefault="True" Width="60" Margin="5 0 5 0" Content="Akceptuj" /> <telerik:RadButton x:Name="btCancel" IsCancel="True" Width="60" Margin="5 0 5 0" Content="Anuluj" /> </StackPanel> </Grid> </Border> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> Please help

  • Random Gui errors using C# Mono on OSX

    - by Erik Karlsson
    Hello. Im developing a app in c# (winforms), which uses mono to run on osx. It contains some dynamic controls, for example a custom groupbox which contains some labels and textboxes, a button etc. these boxes can both be added and removed dynamically. Problem arises both when they are created, and removed, or even when a messagebox is shown. What happens is that sometimes on rendering white boxes appears, or some labels are not drawn correctly. And sometimes when a messagebox appears, it first opens up like 5 dummies which are just blank, and which you cant close. Am i doing something wrong, should i sleep the gui thread a bit after each creation, or should i invalidate stuff on my own? Or should i try GTK#? Many thanks on input on this, Erik

  • Checking for & storing multiple CheckBox selections in CSharp.

    - by Matt
    I'm very new to CSharp and I can't seem to find a good solution to what I would consider a simple problem. Basically I'm trying to determine which CheckBoxs have been selected by the user and then randomly generate combinations of the selections the user has made. As new as I am, I am aware that you can use a simple statement such as: checkBox1.IsChecked == true I could have a long set of if statements which update an array/collection, but I'm told that in Csharp there is a way of determining which CheckBoxs are checked by querying the GroupBox that the CheckBoxs are in. Unless I'm mistaken (which is very possible) this is achieved by using Control features, unfortunately I've not come across these yet in my learning so if someone could clear things up that would be great. In summation, if someone has a simple solution for running through a set of checkBoxs and storing only the selected ones I would be most grateful.

  • WPF Binding Collection To ComboBox and Selecting an item

    - by Adam Driscoll
    I've been knocking my head against this for some time now. I'm not really sure why it isn't working. I'm still pretty new to this whole WPF business. Here's my XAML for the combobox <ComboBox Width="200" SelectedValuePath="Type.FullName" SelectedItem="{Binding Path=Type}" Name="cmoBox" > </ComboBox> Here's what populates the ComboBox (myAssembly is a class I created with a list of possible types) cmoBox.ItemsSource = myAssembly.PossibleTypes; I set the DataContext in a parent element of the ComboBox in the code behind like this: groupBox.DataContext = listBox.SelectedItem; I want the binding to select the correct "possible type" from the combo box. It doesn't select anything. I have tried SelectedValue and SelectedItem. When I changed the DisplayMemberPath of the ComboBox to a different property it changed what was displayed so I know it's not completely broken. Any ideas???
