Integration of aadvark with Gtalk - how does it work

Hi guys Not sure if anyone has used aadvark but it has a very nice integration with Gtalk. If you have signed up on aadvark - when any question is posted in your area of expertise - there will be nice pop-up in ur gtalk window asking if you are interested in answering - if you say Yes - it will ask you the question and you can answer in that window itself. Is that something they are able to do because Google bought them or does google have an API with which we can integrate it with our application to do something similar. Thanks

JQuery overlay - issues with opening twitter "Allow Access" box

Hey guys I'm using Jquery flowplayer tools overlay to open external links. External links are working fine with this piece of code shown in the link: http://www.demiseonline.com/misc/Iframeoverlay.html Now using this overlay - I wanted to open the twitter dialog which asks users to Allow access to their account. So in the code below, I replaced http://www.google.com with https://twitter.com/oauth/authenticate?oauth_token=VPVRIsnRz9IX4CAab7brert3jHiEs <div class="apple_overlay black" id="Overlay1" <iframe src ="http://www.google.com" width="100%" height="595px" frameborder="0" </iframe </div When I replace the code, as soon as I load the page, even before I click on the link to open the overlay - the page gets redirected to the twitter URL. Any idea why that happens for this URL. Thanks

Facebook - generating fb tag in Jquery - not working

Hey guys Kind of stuck here - I have this functionality on my site where I display 10 user comments along with their photo and when a user clicks on "More" - using Jquery more results are fetched from DB and the results are displayed via string generated in the Jquery method. This is a shortened version of my Jquery function $(".more_swipes").live('click',function() { var profile_id = 'profile-user_id; ?'; $.getJSON("/profile/more-swipes", { user_id: profile_id},function(swipes) { $.each(swipes, function(i,data){ newcomment="<div"; newcomment +="<fb:profile-pic uid='"+data.fb_userid+"' linked='false'/"; newcomment +="Name="+data.user_name+"-Comment="+data.comment; $("#moreswipes").append(newcomment); }); }); return false; }); Here as you can see I'm using the tag <fb:profile-pic uid='"+data.fb_userid+"' linked='false'/ Now when more results get displayed, the profile pic of the user is not getting displayed - when I look at the source code - this is how the fb tag looks when its generated thru Jquery <fb:profile-pic uid="222222" linked="false" height="50" width="50" Whereas the FB tags not generated thru the Jquery code look like <fb:profile-pic uid="222222" linked="false" height="50" width="50" class="FB_profile_pic <fb_profile_pic_rendered FB_ElementReady" style="width:px;height:50px" <img src="http://profile.atk......2025.jpg" alt="User Name" title="User Name" style="width:px;height:50px" class="FB_profile_pic"/ </fb:profile-pic So when I add it as a String in JQuery function - facebook is not identifying it and executing it Any idea how to fix this Thanks a bunch

How to build a widget for my website

Hey guys I'm very new to the whole programming - so far I only have experience with building websites, database etc. I currently have a website where users can share their online purchases. I want to build a widget that other websites can integrate on their site. Users should be able to insert their purchases directly through this widget without having to come to my website. My search on Google led to http://ipinfodb.com/ip_location_api.php It seems perfect but my only concern is the reliability of this service. Does google have anything like this. Using curl_init in Zend Application is causing Session Error

Hey guys I'm getting this weird error in my Zend application with this piece of code: $curl = curl_init(); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_URL, 'www.xyz.com/ab.php'); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); $data = curl_exec($curl); curl_close($curl); This is the error, I get: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Zend_Session_Exception' with message 'session has already been started by session.auto-start or session_start() When I remove that code everything works fine. Twitter Streaming API - tracking exact multiple keywords in exact order

Hey Guys, I'm just beginning to play with the Twitter Streaming API. If I specify $sc-setTrack(array('just bought from')); This will correctly pull only tweets that have all 3 keywords - but doesn't maintain the order. 1) I want the keywords to appear in the same order like "I just bought apple from itunes" but the above also returns tweets like "I bought some apples and just removed them from the bag" 2) Is there a way to specify the exact words say "NBA basketball" with nothing in between - in the sense I dont want tweets like this to be returned Watching basketball on NBA tv I just want tweets which contain the exact phrase to be returned like I love watching NBA basketball 3) Also is there a way to specify negative keywords Any tips if this is possible. Using Google Apps Standard - Emails being marked as spam

Hey Guys, I signed up with Google apps standard edition for one of my domain names say example.com. I setup the emails like [email protected] - and using the Google Email client and loggin as user contact - if I send emails to users - they arrive in their inbox. But when I send it through my php script running on my hosting account where I have registered the domain example.com - using the same email address [email protected] - it ends up in the Spam folder - I've noticed this in both yahoo and gmail accounts Any tips on how to prevent this from happening. Thanks
