  • Problem with sharepoint search.

    Hi, I have created the Contact list. I feed proper data where required in my personal sharepoint site. Bu when I look for the specific name or any key word that present in contact list it shows message : No results matching your search were found. Check your spelling. Are the words in your query spelled correctly? Try using synonyms. Maybe what you're looking for uses slightly different words. Make your search more general. Try more general terms in place of specific ones. Try your search in a different scope. Different scopes can have different results. Where is, I am giving proper inputs by following these instructions. What should be problem. Is i nees to make any setting for make my data searchable ?

  • unable to open SSRS reports from domain IP

    Hi, I have developed the SSRS reports. It is running fine locally. but after deployed on the domain server it showing exception XML Parsing Error: no element found Location: http://{MyDomainIP}:{port}/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx Line Number 1, Column 1: I have deployed these reports under the windows authentication . since I tried to give anonymous access so that I can access it, But in IIS I could not found the virtual directory regarding these reports. so where are they deployed ? I could not understand how it is not permitting to the Admin account to show the reports. Please guide me I am using IIS 6.0 , SQL server2008 R2. I am totally new for the this kind of stuff. Edited: how can we give the anonymous access to the SSRS reports? It should not ask for username and password.I know we can do this by IIS , but some how I can not found my SSRS virtual directory. how can i do that ?

    Hi, I have build my custom webpart using the visual studio extensions. I want to deploy it. but getting error: No SharePoint Site exists at the specified URL for the solution I have tried to change the "Start browser with URL" from properties of the project in Debug tab. I gave my site name with port as, http://myserver:500/ but still problem there, when a i say build or deploy. Please guide me.

I have the workaround: by removing the explicit implementation of PrintName Method, But surprised why i am getting this error. Can anyone explain the error.     What i am looking around me is the drastically change in ASP.Net Architecture. More and more company are following the approach of JSON based wcf service in middle tier. Plain HTML based UI tier with JQuery/Ajax. No Postback at all, This contradicts the Default behaviour of Asp.Net Server Control/Code Behind Event handler/Postback. I am a Asp.Net Web Developer for around 4 years, and concerned about the future of ASP.Net. Is the Default Architecture of ASP.Net is Outdated at all? Does MVC or ASP.Net 4.0 Tries to solve the Issue?

When I will search on site for some text let say: "Manager of xyz company" definetly i Will get some data from sql content database relevant to searched query , right ?
