  • website not accessible with IIS6 while NAT is configured in Windows 2003

    I have Windows2003 server configured with IIS 6. Until now it was working fine, but since I enabled NAT for my users to access the internet via this server, the website becomes unavailable. Note that I have two nics on the server one is WAN and 2nd is for LAN. Both IPs are behind the firewall. If I stop the NAT then the website is available externally. I tried to search the answer in this forum but didn't find appropriate one or maybe didn't properly understand. I'll appreciate if anyone can help me sorting out this issue.

  • SSRS 2005 report manager link not coming up

    On my SQL Server 2005 installation. I am able to view the report server URL but I am unable to logon to the report manager URL. "http://servername/reports" I don't get any error message at all. Only thing is the page never loads and is in a hanged state. From the reporting services log folder, I am unable to see any useful messages getting logged in the log file. I also checked the IIS server logs and didn't get any useful information either. Have anyone of you experienced this before? Is there any way to fix this problem, please share your thoughts.

    hello guys, trying to make a new webos for my graduation project, I'm a computer science guy, and this project will be my graduation project. two days ago i sat with ghost OS R&D operation manager and he told me it's a big project and i should not thinking in a project like this. anyway i have an experience, and i can made it using GWT and some programing languages for server side. and am gonna make it as a development environment, OS with specific API that allows any body to write an applications, or some modifications to add a 3rd party apps. i need some feedback and what about making it open-source project, what do you think guys ?

    First, most of my recent work was Java. So even though I "know" C++, I do not want to write Java in C++. And C++ templates are one thing I will really miss when going back to Java. Now that this out of the way, if I want to do create a new stream formatter, say pic, that will have a single std::string parameter in it's constructor. I would like the user to be able to write something like: cout << pic("Date is 20../../..") << "100317" << endl; The output should be Date is 2010/03/17 How do I write the pic class? when the compiler sees the cout what are the underlying steps the compiler does?

  • Is there "native" support for JSON in JDK6 Script Engine?

    I'm using JDK6the standard Scripting. I need to store and retrieve some JavaScript Objects that also contain Java Objects to JSON. I loaded the json2.js into the ScriptENgine and can use it fine without issue if the objects are all created in the Scrip Engine. The moment I try to use my own Java classes, I get some errors like "object does not support toJSON" errors. I did not find much about JSON in Java Scripting / Rhino context. Am I doing something totally wrong? What's the best way of achieving the requirement?

  • Inverted index in a search engine

    Hello there, I'm trying to write some code to make a small application for searching text from files. Files should be crawled, and I need to put an inverted index to boost searches. My problem is that I kind of have ideas about how the parser would be, I'm willing to implement the AND, NOT, OR in the query. Whereas, I couldn't figure out how my index should be... I have never created an inverted index so if any body could suggest a feasable way to do it I would be very grateful... I do know in theory how it works but my problem is I absolutely have no idea to make happen in MySql I need to give keywords being indexed a weight too... Thank you so much.

    Well, I tried to ask this question as a comment on this question, but I thought that maybe no one will notice it, so I decided to ask it as a separate one. The question is about how to do real-time GPS tracking system things; if we have the following scenario: Rather than connecting a GPS receiver to a PC, the user will have a mobile device with an integrated GPS receiver. Location data will be sent over mobile network using GPRS data connection to a server side. The data will be processed and a KML path file will be created and updated on time intervals and used to track the user using Google Earth. The question is: what is the best method to accomplish this scenario for the server side; is it a web service, a web application, a windows service, a windows application or what exactly? Taking into account that the system will serve a number of users simultaneously, and that more users may use the system in the future(scalability issues).     There's a web services I want to call in my application, I can use it with importing the WSDL or by just use "HTTP GET" with the URL and parameters, so I prefer the later because it's simple thing. I know I can use indy idhttp.get, to do the job, but this is very simple thing and I don't want to add complex indy code to my application. UPDATE: sorry if I was not clear, I meant by "not to add complex indy code", that I don't want add indy components for just this simple task, and prefer more lighter way for that.

    hello I building my project using GWT plugin for eclipse Galileo, after i done from RPC between the server and client, i trying to make a reference from gwt server side to normal java class in non-gwt-project, but every time i make an object from the class (which in non-gwt-project) gives me ClassNotFoundException. i did the buildpath for the gwt project, but still gives me the same exception, is there a way to make that from server side (not from client side). i need help please, i spent a lot of time searching for solution but i did not found anything. i appreciate any suggestions...thanks

    We are team of few Delphi developers who have been using VSS since years (I know it's a pity), but we don't use any of the advanced features of VCS, so it was working fine in many cases (but some times it was driving me crazy :( ). The good thing that we have with VSS that we use third-party plug-ings to integrate VSS with Delphi, which is working great, but now when our projects becomes larger, and we would like to move a way from VSS. I have looked at few other VCS (free and commercial) and found most of them seems be made for Linux guys, and you have to use command line for many admin work(I know I'm windows guy :P). What I'm looking for the new Version control that it should be easy to use and to maintain and Integrated nicely with Delphi IDE (D2007), or at least have a good UI for the Admins an developers.

    Hi Experts, Is it possible to declare multiple static variables of same name in a single C file with different scopes?
