Still Alive…

As Glados would say at the end of Portal “I’m still alive…”. I am around, but I’m just not posting as frequently as I should. I am trying to get acclimated to my new job, planning SharePoint Saturday New York City and Women in SharePoint plus trying to lead a normal life doing normal chores and hang out with my boyfriend. What does this mean? Well I’m trying to cut back to one or two events a month, which will include Heartland Developer Conference, Best Practices Conference, SPS Ozarks, SPS NYC (not speaking, running), and maybe SPS Denver and/or SPS East Bay. So with the new job acclimation the blog suffers and twitter is getting less loven. I’m only posting on twitter at night. I will try to blog when I can as I see more 2010 and 2007 things that I find interesting to share. I guess when you are a new employee you try to figure out what’s going on the first few months. It’s really hard to post on SharePoint issue while that happens. I’m really sorry guys and I will try harder to post at least a couple times a month (and maybe moderate comments slightly better). South Florida Code Camp and Other Events

My grandmother wanted me to make her a video when she heard I got MVP in SharePoint Server of one of my sessions. I decided I haven’t visited in two years, so maybe I can do an in person session. I googled around and found South Florida Code Camp, which will be Saturday, February 12th. I will be doing a session at 9:50 in the morning on Silverlight just for my grandmother and whoever shows up. Here is the link for more information: http://www.fladotnet.com/codecamp/. In the upcoming months I plan to return to SharePoint Saturday speaking. We are also organizing another New York event on Saturday, July 30th. We will open up submissions for sponsors and speakers somewhere after Best Practices Conference in LaJolla. I will be speaking at Best Practices LaJolla and the The Expert’s Conference in the upcoming months. I am really sorry for the lack of updates it’s just been incredibly crazy going back and forth to DC and not having internet on weekdays or having the slowest internet in the world has just not helped. I am also trying to attend Coders 4 Charity this year, so I can visit some people in St. Louis. I’ve already got an incredibly crazy schedule going for the year. I might be helping organize more events. I’m going to volunteer at New York Code Camp too doing whatever they need this year. Check back for more updates. SharePoint Conference 2012–How To Find Me

Hey guys I will be at the conference if you don’t follow me on twitter and you want to find me. Look around the Women in SharePoint area in the Community Lounge. If you don’t find me at the Community Lounge then I would say try to look at the Planet Technologies booth for me. If you don’t find me in that booth then try Booth #22 the SharePoint Pavilion. If I’m not in any of these places I’m either in a session, sleeping, running, or wearing a cloaking device. You can ask me all kinds of questions about Planet, Women in SharePoint, and such. SharePoint Saturday Huntsville Wrap Up

So, Cathy Dew (@catpaint1) and company put on a great SharePoint Saturday event this past weekend. I got to hang out with some old friends and meet some new ones. I’d list you all, but I’d undoubtedly miss someone and don’t want to offend anyone. Although I find it odd that I see @MossLover now more since she moved to New Jersey than when she lived next door in Kansas City… what’s up with that? Anyway, Cathy did a tremendous job organizing the event. Everything went smoothly and everyone had a great time. Maybe I can talk her into organizing the rest of SharePoint Saturday Ozarks on June 12th… you know that’s coming up? right? This continues to be my most popular presentation. I try to tweak it every time and I always have fun doing it.
