• XSLT typograph.

- by kalininew
Divide a large amount of text on an arbitrary number of equal parts. I probably already fed up with their stupid questions, but I have one more question. I have a large piece of text
Sed ut perspiciatis, unde omnis iste natus error sit voluptatem accusantium doloremque laudantium, totam rem aperiam eaque ipsa, quae ab illo

• Updates broke my themes/shell [Ubuntu 12.04 running Gnome 3 ]

- by APNW
I am running gnome-session 3.4.2.1. After the latest updates (listed below) my theme regressed to what looks like tango - not sure. Am unable to change it using Gnome-tweak tool or the display settings. I am also unable to change the wallpaper. Here's what it looks like: Synaptic: Chromium and this is the wallpaper page even though I have

• Downgrade to Nautilus 3.4 from Ubuntu 13.10 / Nautilus 3.8

- by duxk.gh
I just updated to Ubuntu 13.10 and greatly dislike Nautilus 3.8 that comes with it. In Ubuntu 13.04 I used the instructions in this article to get back some of the features from Nautilus 3.4, but unfortunately that doesn't work anymore. I particularly miss dividing up the window with F3 to have two folders show at the same time. The new search

• MS Outlook Voting mismatch

- by Robert Ilbrink
I did send out an Outlook vote to hundreds of employees, using their email address (which is mostly firstname.lastname@company.com, but there are many exceptions). The incoming votes are not matched against the email address, but against the display name. Unfortunately, the display name has no real standard either. So instead of seeing

• Display date/time in Ubuntu lock screen (cinnamon-like)

- by 3l4ng
I was using Ubuntu 13.04 till a few days ago. I had installed Nemo and I guess cinnamon got installed too (I was still using Unity nonetheless). One of the good things about that was the lock screen somehow changed to mimick cinnamon's (with the background as a darkened version of desktop background and date/time displayed), something

• Display folder sizes in file manager

- by wim
In nautilus (or nemo) file manager, the "Size" column shows the filesize for files and the number of items contained in a folder for subdirectories: Number of items is not that important for me, it would be more useful if I could make this column show the total size contained under the directory. I had an extension on windows

• To divide the big text into columns.

- by kalininew
Problem: There is a big piece of the text:

Sed ut perspiciatis, unde omnis iste natus error sit voluptatem accusantium doloremque laudantium, totam rem aperiam eaque ipsa, quae ab illo inventore veritatis et quasi architecto beatae vitae dicta sunt,

• TechEd 2012: Dude Where’s My Azure

- by Tim Murphy
It has been a fun first morning at TechEd North America. They keynote was both informative and entertaining. Some of the high points included a walk through of Windows Server 2012 and its new Hyper-V capabilities and use of ODX (offloaded data transfer). Between seeing stats like being able to

• Retro Video Game Collection

- by Matt Christian
Recently I've decided, in true nerd fashion, to collect either comic books or video games. Considering I'm much more versed in the technological arts and not in ACTUAL art, I thought collecting old video games would be an interesting venture. After all, I am a self-described compulsive shopper (my
