    Can't get this thing to work. Has anyone else had any success with Tumblr's auto-publish queue feature? I have a bunch of items in my queue It's set to auto-publish once a day It's set to only publish between 1am and 3am The next morning nothing will be published. The interface isn't perfectly clear - is it attempting to auto-post at a time that's not between 1 - 3 and then giving up?

  • How to add a Linux Partition on FreeBSD

    Today I installed FreeBSD 9.0 PPC on my Mac mini G4 with 40GB HDD. During installation, (using the FSBD utility 'gpart') I have allocated a total of about 23GB for FreeBSD leaving 17GB totally free (neither partitioned, nor formatted) for a later Linux installation. Now, when try to install Linux (Ubuntu 10.10 PPC) on the remaining 17GB, the Linux/Ubuntu installer (or Linux's Disk Utility for the same matter) wants presumably a linux partition and when I try to add a (Linux) partition on that area using Linux DU it fails with this message: Error creating partition: helper exited with exit code 1: In part_add_partition: device_file=/dev/hda, start=23363101696, size=16644660224, type= Entering MS-DOS parser (offset=0, size=40007761920) No MSDOS_MAGIC found Exiting MS-DOS parser Entering Apple parser Mac MAGIC found, block_size=512 map_count = 17 Leaving Apple parser Apple partition table detected containing partition table scheme = 2 got it Error: The partition's data region doesn't occupy the entire partition. ped_disk_new() failed Now, I'm trying to add a Linux partition on FreeBSD running on the harddisk. I use seemingly most suitable tool for this job: gpart. Here is the 'gpart show ad0' But it seems unable to add a Linux partition because "man gpart" doesn't list either "Linux Partition" nor anything like Ext2 or Ext3/Ext4. The closest thing to Linux Partition in gpart is "mbr" but it doesn't work: #gpart add -t mbr ado So, how to add properly a Linux Partition on FreeBSD? Thanks.

    Spaces rarely returns focus to my last used window. Haven't been able to peg universally reproducible steps, but spend any time switching among spaces and windows and you'll come across this. It often happens with finder windows. I'm thinking this is because osx treats Finder as a single app, so bringing finder forward in one space brings it forward in all spaces. Extremely annoying! Anyone have a fix for this?

  • Aperture and networked drive: thinks images are offline

    I keep my photos on a networked drive (wireless), and they are referenced by Aperture. Aperture seems to not try very hard to look for this drive. Usually I have to open the network drive in Finder before opening Aperture -- otherwise it doesn't find the images and considers them offline. To me this seems like Aperture isn't willing to look on the network for the drive, unless it was helped along by pointing it out in Finder. It doesn't work if I start Aperture first and then navigate to the drive in Finder. What are some workarounds to making this functional? Is there a way to tell Aperture to look again without restarting the program?

  • Problems with connecting Thunderbird client to dovecot installed on Ubuntu

    I am trying to connect a Thunderbird client to my dovecot server. The dovecot is installed on Ubuntu. I know that my server works (at least partially), since when I send a mail to a user in the server ([email protected]), I see the new file created in /home/feedback/Maildir/new. However, when I try to connect with my Thunderbird to the server, It recognizes the server, but informs me that my user/password is wrong (they are not wrong). The exact message is: Configuration could not be verified - is the username or password wrong?   • Compiling PHP with GD crashes with EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) on PPC Mac

    First of all, I should say that I have searched the whole Internet for this problem but I couldn't find any solution yet. I have a Mac mini PowerPC (PPC) and I run Apache webserver (httpd-2.2.22) with PHP (5.4.0) and I do all the configure & compilation jobs by myself. If configure with: './configure' '--prefix=/usr/local/php5' '--mandir=/usr/share/man' '--infodir=/usr/share/info' '--sysconfdir=/etc' '--with-config-file-path=/etc' '--with-zlib' '--with-zlib-dir=/usr' '--with-openssl=/usr' '--without-iconv' '--enable-exif' '--enable-ftp' '--enable-mbstring' '--enable-mbregex' '--enable-sockets' '--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql' '--with-pdo-mysql=/usr/local/mysql' '--with-mysqli=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config' '--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs' '--with-mcrypt' then the PHP works flawlessly. But if I add the GD module by adding these to the script above: '--with-gd' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local/lib' '--with-freetype-dir=/usr/X11R6' '--with-png-dir=/usr/X11R6' '--with-xpm-dir=/usr/X11R6' the PHP gets configured and compiled without any errors but it causes EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) (see the Crash Reporter log below) when I request a page which calls PHP module. It's obvious that something related to the GD module is causing this, probably FreeType module because it's present in the log but it may not be definite of course. When the PHP crashes (or more accurately, httpd) the CPU goes 100% for 10 to 15 seconds until it recovers. I need to use the GD module and keep the Mac mini PowerPC.   • Sending bulkmail from different server?

    I want to send bulk domains from my vps for a domain(cagetur.com) hosted in another company. The company(cagetur) will go on using the old hosting account for its mailing operations. The vps will just be used for smtp for once a week. I created an A record "vps.cagetur.com". directed it to the IP adress of vps then created a mx record with bigger preference number "50 vps.cagetur.com." on the domain control panel. When I trace the "vps.cagetur.com" i can reach my vps now. I installed hMail on the vps. Configure it (created domain, accounts). I have no information about "system" so i couldn't get further from this point. I can connect to the mail server with Outlook without errors. I can send an email from the account on the vps but it doesn't reaches. No errors, no emails. What do i have to do for getting it work? Thank you.

    Essentially, I want the Ubuntu pre-10.10 behaviour back. The setuid method (see notes) does not work anymore. I search a lot on the Internet, but I haven't found a satisfying solution. I have read a solution that involves editing the sudoers file (ALL ALL=NOPASSWD:/sbin/mount.cifs). But then, the users would also be able to specify a directory as a mount-point they normally would not have access to, right? This is not what I want.

What is best practice out there to sync time for all windows and unix boxes to sync with time server or domain controller. Windows time service is not made for high accuracy less then 10 secs. More specific i cannot understand what is the matrix Ak which is mentioned in the following line of the pseudo code : Ak:=adjacency structure of strong component K with least vertex in subgraph of G induced by {s,s+1,....n}; to make things worse some lines after is mentins " for i in Vk do " without declaring what the Vk is... As far i have understand we have the following: 1) in general, a strong component is a sub-graph of a graph, in which for every node of this sub-graph there is a path to any node of the sub-graph (in other words you can access any node of the sub-graph from any other node of the sub-graph) 2) a sub-graph induced by a list of nodes is a graph containing all these nodes plus all the edges connecting these nodes. in paper the mathematical definition is " F is a subgraph of G induced by W if W is subset of V and F = (W,{u,y)|u,y in W and (u,y) in E)}) where u,y are edges , E is the set of all the edges in the graph, W is a set of nodes. 3)in the code implementation the nodes are named by integer numbers 1 ... n. 4) I suspect that the Vk is the set of nodes of the strong component K. now to the question. Lets say we have a graph G= (V,E) with V = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9} which it can be divided into 3 strong components the SC1 = {1,4,7,8} SC2= {2,3,9} SC3 = {5,6} (and their edges) Can anybody give me an example for s =1, s= 2, s= 5 what if going to be the Vk and Ak according to the code?     Hi , does anyone know the Donald B. Johnson's algorithm which enumarates all the elementary circuits (cycles) in a Directed graph? link text I have the paper he had published in 1975 but I cannot understand the pseudo-code. My goal is to implement this algorithm in java. Some questions i have is for example what is the matrix Ak it refers to. In the pseudo code mentions that Ak:=adjacency structure of strong component K with least vertex in subgraph of G induced by {s,s+1,....n}; Does that mean i have to implement another algorithm that finds the Ak matrix? Another question is what the following means? begin logical f; Does also the line "logical procedure CIRCUIT (integer value v);" means that the circuit procedure returns a logical variable. In the pseudo code also has the line "CIRCUIT := f;" . Does this mean?     Hi, I'm looping a two-dimensional array like this: if (!empty($aka)) { foreach ($aka as $ak) { if($ak["lang"]=="es") { $sptitle=$ak["title"]; } } } Pretty simple. If the array ($aka) is not empty I loop trough it and when it finds that the "lang" index is equal to "es" I just save the "title" value for that index in $sptitle. The problem is that the array ($aka) contains a lot of information and sometimes there is no "lang" index... and I get this error: Notice: Undefined index: lang. How can I fix this???     When I use Handler and its postDelayed method, the run() method executes twice. Below is part of my code. Handler deneme = new Handler(); deneme.postDelayed(new Runnable() { @Override public void run() { randomOyna(); } }, 1000); where randomOyna is the method public void randomOyna() { Log.v("sonOlarak", "çalisti"); } I monitor the LogCat and see that "çalisti" entry is written twice, so that randomOyna is called twice. The task is scheduled truely, but executes both after 1 sec and 2 secs. Can you help me???

    Hi, There is a couple of hours that I'm trying to set a tableView background image. My controller is a subclass of UITableViewController, and I simply wrote this lines of code in ViewDidLoad method. UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"home-portrait-iphone.png"]; UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:image]; self.tableView.backgroundView = imageView; Everything looks great on the simulator, I mean, I see my table and as background view, y can see the image.   • Checking if a RoutedEvent has any handlers

    I've got a custom Button class, that always performs the same action when it gets clicked (opening a specific window). I'm adding a Click event that can be assigned in the button's XAML, like a regular button. When it gets clicked, I want to execute the Click event handler if one has been assigned, otherwise I want to execute the default action. The problem is that there's apparently no way to check if any handlers have been added to an event. I thought a null check on the event would do it: if (Click == null) { DefaultClickAction(); } else { RaiseEvent(new RoutedEventArgs(ClickEvent, this));; } ...but that doesn't compile. The compiler tells me that I can't do anything other than += or -= to an event outside of the defining class, event though I'm trying to do this check INSIDE the defining class. I've implemented the correct behavior myself, but it's ugly and verbose and I can't believe there isn't a built-in way to do this. I must be missing something.
