After all they need money to host their data and code.     I would like to have some functionality by which if i write <textarea maxlength="50"></textarea> <textarea maxlength="150"></textarea> <textarea maxlength="250"></textarea> it will automatically impose the maxlength on the textArea. If possible please donot provide the solution in JQuery.     I have installed IE8 on my system. I usually test my application on this browser, but the problem arises when i got to know that the client is using IE7. Now how can i test my application on IE7? One possible solution is to have dual booting on my system. So on version of Windows i can have IE7 and on another i can have IE8. But i really don't want to use this solution. Another possible solution is to use PC Emulator [ Don't know what is this, just heard about these ]. Using which i can have multiple IE version simultaneously. Have you ever tried this solution? Please name any good FREE emulator. Please let me know if there is any other better solution.

  • connecting to bsnl wll, with huawei fixed wireless modem with connected to usb port on linux mint.

    On windows, when I plugged in the usb connector, to the device was recognized as a mass storage device and installed all the drivers, to my computer, then the device, automatically restarted and started behaving like a modem, I'm writing this post, using the same modem, through windows... On linux mint (debian kernel, similar to ubuntu 8.10), the device is recognized as a mass storage device, some times, but, has no programs, useful for linux... When I use the modem on windows and restart the computer and login to linux, the device shows up as "not yet configured" in the terminal command "lsusb"... I googled a lot for solutions, tried many things, atlast, configured it and run the command "wvdial". But, get the error, that the modem is not responding, at last ! :'( Please help me out... Many more people are facing this problem, as I could discover, when I googled for it. this is the website address of huawei, the company of my modem...   • My WD passport detected but not shown on my computer

    1TB WD harddisk is detected in laptop but drives not visible on my computer. Under disk managment drives shown without letters. Right clicking on these drives give 2 options: Delete volume Help. The same harddisk was running well on the same laptop a day before. It is also showing full size of hard drives, Healthy (Primary Partition) etc. (this happened after harddisk usage by guest). Harddisk is new only (about 5 month usage) Please suggest: Is there hardware related problem inside harddisk, if so is it repairable? Is there any option to recover data?

  • Sound feels to come from far in my headphones [closed]

    I bought new headphones just yesterday. The strange thing is when I hear sound from my headphone I feel like it is coming from far away. Main problem comes in games, when I hear the footsteps of enemies and think he is on the other side of the wall while he is near to me. :D I also heard virtual haircut on youtube . I tried this with my new headphones and HTC desire S earphones. In case of HTC earphones I felt that scissors and electric razor( @ 3:04 ) is too much near to my ear but in case of the headphones I didn't felt such thing. I felt electric razor is almost 6 inches away from my ear. Have you ever encountered such problem? What can I do in this case?

  • Google appengine authentication on iPhone web app on the home screen

    I'm using Google appengine for developing an web application that is meant to be used on both the browser and iphone. I have purchased a domain name for this application, so that I have a pretty URL. I've used the User API for authentication. This works just fine on desktop browsers and iPhone Safari. The user could add the application to the home screen (by tapping the "+" at the bottom toolbar). However when that's done, it seems like the cookies set by Google are not in affect within this "application", and the user is effectively logged out. To make matters worse, when the user clicks on the login link (as generated by GAE), the app closes and opens safari to complete the login. Since the session is apparently not shared between the two, the login process is futile, and the "home-screen" version of the app continues to be logged out. It seems that the cookies are not shared between a "home-screen" app and Safari. It also seems that the "home-screen" app will only work within it's own domain, and any redirect to any other domain will open Safari. Any idea how I can go about fixing this?
