  • Problem with jQuery accordion and cookies

    I have a jQuery accordion from this site and edited for my purposes, but the accordion only works in Firefox (not Safari or Chrome) and the cookies aren't being set correctly. I also don't know how to tell it to use the class of the a inside the h2 as the cookie value. (Currently the cookie is set as $.cookie(parent, this.className);, which produces cookies with the name container (the div above #sidebar) and the value letter_head. It needs to be something like 'sidebar' and 'ABC', 'DEF' and so on. Thanks in advance!

  • Scrolling to the bottom of a div on page load: issue with syntaxhighlighter

    I've been using this code: var objDiv = document.getElementById("code"); objDiv.scrollTop = objDiv.scrollHeight; to scroll to the very bottom of the div. It worked perfectly in FF and Chrome (I asked a question about it not working in Chrome a few days ago, but it appears the guy who was testing it on Chrome was incorrect, so I tested it myself) until I started syntax highlighting the code that I put in the div with SyntaxHighlighter. Before, I was putting the code in a <p> and breaking lines with <br />, but the <br /> stuff doesn't fly with SyntaxHighlighter, so I replaced all of those with newlines (not entirely certain if this is important, but it's worth mentioning). Now, when the page loads, it does scroll, but not all the way down. It scrolls nearly to the bottom. I've tried all the methods listed in the other question I mentioned but they all do the same thing, or nothing at all. Is there anything else I can try? Here is the relevant piece of the generated HTML.   • Understanding top output in Linux

    Hi, I'm trying to determine the CPU usage of a program by looking at the output from Top in Linux. I understand that %us means userspace and %sy means system/kernel etc. But say I see 100%us. Does this mean that the CPU is really only doing useful work? What if a CPU is tied up waiting for resources that are not avaliable, or cache misses, would it also show up in the %us column, or any other column? Thank you.

  • jQuery and regex for adding icons to specific links?!

    I'm using jQuery to add icons to specific links, e.g. a myspace icon for sites starting with http://myspace.com etc. However, I can't figure out how to use regular expressions (if that's even possible here), to make jQuery recognize the link either with or without "www." (I'm very bad at regular expressions in general). Here are two examples: $("a[href^='http://www.last.fm']").addClass("lastfm").attr("target", "_blank"); $("a[href^='http://livejournal.com']").addClass("livejournal").attr("target", "_blank"); They work fine, but I now I want the last.fm link to work with http://last.fm, http://www.last.fm and http://www.lastfm.de. Currently it only works for www.last.fm. I also would like to make the livejournal link work with subdomains links like http://username.livejournal.com How can I do that? Thanks in advance!

  • isReachable in Java doesn't appear to be working quite the way it's supposed to

    I'm using Clojure, but I can read Java, so this isn't a Clojure specific question. This doesn't even seem to be working from Java. I'm trying to implement a bit of a 'ping' function using isReachable. The code I'm using is this: (.isReachable (java.net.InetAddress/getByName "www.microsoft.com") 5000) Translated to Java by a good friend of mine: public class NetTest { public static void main (String[] args) throws Exception{ String host = "acidrayne.net"; InetAddress a = InetAddress.getByName(host); System.out.println(a.isReachable(10000)); } } Both of these return false. I suppose I must be doin' it wrong, but Google research is telling me differently. I'm confuzzled!

  • How can I mix optional keyword arguments with the & rest stuff?

    I have a macro that takes a body: (defmacro blah [& body] (dostuffwithbody)) But I'd like to add an optional keyword argument to it as well, so when called it could look like either of these: (blah :specialthingy 0 body morebody lotsofbody) (blah body morebody lotsofboy) How can I do that? Note that I'm using Clojure 1.2, so I'm also using the new optional keyword argument destructuring stuff. I naively tried to do this: (defmacro blah [& {specialthingy :specialthingy} & body]) But obviously that didn't work out well. How can I accomplish this or something similar?

  • A regex to match a substring that isn't followed by a certain other substring.

    I need a regex that will match blahfooblah but not blahfoobarblah I want it to match only foo and everything around foo, as long as it isn't followed by bar. I tried using this: foo.*(?<!bar) which is fairly close, but it matches blahfoobarblah. The negative look behind needs to match baranything and not just bar. The specific language I'm using is Clojure which uses Java regexes under the hood.

My test.txt output is ECHO is off ECHO is off 5 I don't understand why the first 2 lines of output has "ECHO is off", while the third line is printed out correctly. How do I print the correct output?
