• CSS Sliding Underline does not work in Safari?

    - by ghilton
I have created a navigation menu which has a 'sliding underline' effect for each hyperlink. JS Fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/ZZuQR/12/ RELEVANT CODE: /* sliding underline */ nav li a:after { content: " "; display:block; margin: 5px 0px 0px 0px; border-bottom: 3px solid transparent; width: 0px; transition: 0.5s ease; } nav li a:hover:after { border-bottom: 3px solid #0076a3; width:50px; } This solution works in Chrome but not in Safari. Does anyone know why this might be?

  • Implementing a listview inside a sliding drawer with a listview already present

    - by Parker
I have an app whose main class extends ListActivity: public class GUIPrototype extends ListActivity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); final Cursor c = managedQuery(People.CONTENT_URI, null, null, null, null); String[] from = new String[] {People.NAME}; int[] to = new int[] { R.id.row_entry }; SimpleCursorAdapter adapter = new SimpleCursorAdapter(this,R.layout.drawer,c,from,to); setListAdapter(adapter); getListView().setTextFilterEnabled(true); } } I have a sliding drawer included in my XML, and I'm trying to get a separate listview to appear in the sliding drawer. I'm trying to populate the second listview using an inflater: View inflatedView = View.inflate(this, R.layout.main, null); ListView namesLV = (ListView) inflatedView.findViewById(R.id.content); String[] names2 = new String[] { "CS 345", "New Tag", "Untagged" }; ArrayAdapter<String> bb = new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, R.layout.main, R.id.row_entry, names2); namesLV.setAdapter(bb); This compiles, and runs, but the slidingdrawer is completely blank. My XML follows: <SlidingDrawer android:id="@+id/drawer" android:handle="@+id/handle" android:content="@+id/content" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_gravity="bottom"> <ImageView android:id="@id/handle" android:layout_width="48px" android:layout_height="48px" android:background="@drawable/icon"/> <ListView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:id="@id/content"/> </SlidingDrawer> I feel like I'm missing a vital step. I haven't found any resources on my problem by Googling, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Pair-wise iteration in C# or sliding window enumerator

    - by f3lix
If I have an IEnumerable like: string[] items = new string[] { "a", "b", "c", "d" }; I would like to loop thru all the pairs of consecutive items (sliding window of size 2). Which would be ("a","b"), ("b", "c"), ("c", "d") My solution was is this public static IEnumerable<Pair<T, T>> Pairs(IEnumerable<T> enumerable) { IEnumerator<T> e = enumerable.GetEnumerator(); e.MoveNext(); T current = e.Current; while ( e.MoveNext() ) { T next = e.Current; yield return new Pair<T, T>(current, next); current = next; } } // used like this : foreach (Pair<String,String> pair in IterTools<String>.Pairs(items)) { System.Out.PrintLine("{0}, {1}", pair.First, pair.Second) } When I wrote this code, I wondered if there are already functions in the .NET framework that do the same thing and do it not just for pairs but for any size tuples. IMHO there should be a nice way to do this kind of sliding window operations. I use C# 2.0 and I can imagine that with C# 3.0 (w/ LINQ) there are more (and nicer) ways to do this, but I'm primarily interested in C# 2.0 solutions. Though, I will also appreciate C# 3.0 solutions.

  • Sliding window algorithm for activiting recognition MATLAB

    - by csc
I want to write a sliding window algorithm for use in activity recognition. The training data is <1xN so I'm thinking I just need to take (say window_size=3) the window_size of data and train that. I also later want to use this algorithm on a matrix . I'm new to matlab so i need any advice/directions on how to implement this correctly.

  • Google App Engine Memcache - Sliding expiration

    - by Keyur
Is there support for sliding expiration in the GAE MemcacheService? I can do a crude implementation where following every get() I do a put(). This will effectively reset the expiration time but this obviously is not an efficient solution. Any pointers on how I can implement this more efficiently? Thanks, Keyur

  • Sliding Response after a Point-Square Collision

    - by mars
In general terms and pseudo-code, what would be the best way to have a collision response of sliding along a wall if the wall is actually just a part of an entire square that a point is colliding into? The collision test method used is a test to see if the point lies in the square. Should I divide the square into four lines and just calculate the shortest distance to the line and then move the point back that distance? If so, then how can I determine which edge of the square the point is closest to after collision?

  • Sliding in Winforms form

    - by rs
Hi, I'm making a form at the bottom of the screen and I want it to slide upwards so I wrote the following code: int destinationX = (Screen.PrimaryScreen.WorkingArea.Width / 2) - (this.Width / 2); int destinationY = Screen.PrimaryScreen.WorkingArea.Height - this.Height; this.Location = new Point(destinationX, destinationY + this.Height); while (this.Location != new Point(destinationX, destinationY)) { this.Location = new Point(destinationX, this.Location.Y - 1); System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(100); } but the code just runs through and shows the end position without showing the form sliding in which is what I want. I've tried Refresh, DoEvents - any thoughts?

  • CSS sliding door background image problem.

    - by ethyreal
I noticed I am not the first to ask about CSS sliding doors. However this seems (at least to me) to be a rather odd problem which I have not seen an answer for. Trying to create a simple rounded corner link button: html: Add A New Somthing css: .link_button { background: transparent url('img/backgrounds/bg-buttonRight.png') no-repeat scroll top right; color: #444; display: block; float: left; font: normal 12px arial; height: 41px; margin-right: 6px; padding-right: 14px; text-decoration: none; } .link_button span { background: transparent url('img/backgrounds/bg-buttonLeft.png') no-repeat top left; display: block; line-height: 31px; padding: 5px 0 5px 14px; } .link_button:active { background-position: bottom right; color: #000; outline: none; } .link_button:active span { background-position: bottom left; padding: 6px 0 4px 18px; } results: The two images are overlapping, which is what I want, but why the discoloration? Why would one be darker? I tried using png jpg, gif, with and without transparency. I posted the code here, along with another attempt using only one jpg instead of two, but still the same results. Did I miss something? Thanks in advance.

  • Tower of Hanoi, stop sliding

    - by ArtWorkAD
    Hi, I developed a solution for the Tower of Hanoi problem: public static void bewege(int h, char quelle, char ablage, char ziel) { if(h > 0){ bewege(h - 1, quelle, ziel, ablage); System.out.println("Move "+ h +" from " + quelle + " to " + ziel); bewege(h - 1, ablage, quelle, ziel); } } It works fine. Now i want to limit the number of slides and throw an exception if a certain limit is reached. I tried it with a counter but it does not work: class HanoiNK{ public static void main(String args[]){ Integer n = Integer.parseInt(args[0]); Integer k = Integer.parseInt(args[1]); try{ bewege(k, n, 'A', 'B', 'C'); }catch(Exception e){ System.out.println(e); } } public static void bewege(int c, int h, char quelle, char ablage, char ziel) throws Exception{ if(h > 0){ if(counter != 0){ bewege(c, h - 1, quelle, ziel, ablage); c--; System.out.println("Move "+ h +" from " + quelle + " to " + ziel); bewege(c, h - 1, ablage, quelle, ziel); c--; }else{ throw new Exception("stop sliding"); } } } } The exception is never thrown. Any ideas?

  • Sliding div in jquery

    - by Sean
I am trying to make a toolbar type section on the top of my site. I just need one div that will be hidden by default, and a button that will be hanging off the bottom of that div. When it is clicked, the div should slide down (with the button still on bottom). And upon clicking, it should slide back up. Here is what I currently have:

This is the account toolbar so far

<%= image_tag "templates/_global/my_account.png", :id => "my_account_btn", :style => "float: right; margin-right: 100px;" %>

The image tag is using ruby/rails syntax, so pay no attention to that. It will render like any other image tag. Here is the jquery i'm using: $('#my_account_btn').click(function () { $('#toolbar_contents').slideToggle(); }); So, this is actually working for the most part. My problem however is that the spacing where the toolbar content div goes, pushes the account button down. When it slides up or down it temporarily attaches itself to the bottom of the div, then jumps back down once it is finished sliding (leaving a gap between the bottom of the hidden div and the top of the account button). I hope that makes sense. thanks

  • Sliding through divs at interval - jQuery

    - by phil
Hey, I have a list of around 30 divs (see below.) and would like to hear any suggestions on the best way to rotate through them by sliding in one at the top and removing one from the bottom at a set time. Something like every 5-10 seconds. Also even though there are 30 on the page I would only like to show a list of 10 and have the rest show as mentioned. A great example would be www.foursquare.com and their recent activity section. I would like to do the same except with a predetermined amount of divs instead of real-time using ajax. Any suggestions or a bit of help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help or thoughts!

  • How to make sliding button sidebar in Flex

    - by Tam
    Hi, I'm fairly new to Flex. I want to make a button (icon) on the far right in the middle of the page that display a sliding side bar with multiple buttons in it when you hover over it. I want when the user hover out of the button bar it slides back again. Conceptually I got the basics of that to work. The issue I'm having is that when the user moves the mouse between the buttons in the sidebar it kicks in changing state and side bar slides back again. I tried using different types of containers and I got the same results. Any Advice? Thanks, Tam Here is the code:  <s:VGroup xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark" xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/halo" xmlns:vld ="com.lal.validators.*" xmlns:effect="com.lal.effects.*" width="150" horizontalAlign="right" gap="0"> <fx:Script>  import com.lal.model.LalModelLocator; var _model:LalModelLocator = LalModelLocator.getInstance();  </fx:Script> <fx:Declarations> <mx:ArrayCollection id="someData"> </mx:ArrayCollection> </fx:Declarations> <s:states> <s:State name="normal" /> <s:State name="expanded" /> </s:states> <fx:Style source="/styles.css"/> <s:transitions> <s:Transition fromState="normal" toState="expanded" > <s:Sequence> <s:Wipe direction="left" duration="250" target="{buttonsGroup}" /> </s:Sequence> </s:Transition> <s:Transition fromState="expanded" toState="normal" > <s:Sequence> <s:Wipe direction="right" duration="250" target="{buttonsGroup}" /> </s:Sequence> </s:Transition> </s:transitions> <s:Button skinClass="com.lal.skins.CalendarButtonSkin" id="calendarIconButton" includeIn="normal" verticalCenter="0" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Panel includeIn="expanded" id="buttonsGroup" mouseOut="currentState = 'normal' " width="150" height="490" > <s:layout> <s:VerticalLayout gap="0" paddingRight="0" /> </s:layout> <s:Button id="mondayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="tuesdayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="wednesdayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="thursdayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="fridayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="saturdayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="sundayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> </s:Panel> </s:VGroup>

  • How to prevent DIVs from sliding over each other

    - by Haghpanah
I’m going to use DIV-based layout instead of table-based to reduce amount of markups and speed up page loading, however I’ve found it too much tricky as I’m not CSS guru. I use following CSS class to simulate rows of a table containing one column for label and one for textbox. .FormItem { margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; width: 604px; min-height: 36px; } .ItemLabel { float: left; width: 120px; padding: 3px 1px 1px 1px; text-align: right; } .ItemTextBox { float: right; width: 480px; padding: 1px 1px 1px 1px; text-align: left; } ,

<asp:Label ID="lblName" runat="server" Text="Name :"></asp:Label>

<asp:TextBox ID="txtName" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>
User Name

<asp:Label ID="lblComments" runat="server" Text="Comments :"></asp:Label>

<asp:TextBox ID="txtComments" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>
(optional)Comments

These styles work fine if the height of ItemData DIVs are less than or equal to FormItem DIVs min-height. If ItemData DIVs height gets more than FormItem height then ItemText DIVs start sliding over FormItem DIVs to and ItemText and ItemData are no longer aligned. For example the following markups…

<asp:Label ID="lblName" runat="server" Text="Name :"></asp:Label>

<asp:TextBox ID="txtName" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>
User Name

<asp:Label ID="lblComments" runat="server" Text="Comments :"></asp:Label>

<asp:TextBox ID="txtComments" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>
(optional)Comments

I've tried several CSS attributes such as; position, float, clear… but I can not correct the problem. I’ll be appreciated for any help.

  • jQuery Smooth Sliding DIV Height

    - by Stu
I have a Div that is 400px in height with the ID "content", I then do a slideToggle on the Div, load some data into the Div of a varying height e.g. 200px, and then do another slideToggle. What I get is the slide expanding to 400px, then jump back to 200px. And the same in reverse, expanding to 200px, then jump to 400px. This is my code: $('#content').slideToggle(600, function() { $("#content").load('data.php').slideToggle(600); }); So I thought I could do something like this, which would slide up the content Div, load the data, and then after it's loaded slide back down. This doesn't jump like the above method, but it is quite jerky for some reason. $('#content').slideUp(600, function() { $("#content").load('data.php', function() { $("#content").slideDown(600); }); }); Can anybody tell me if there is a better way of doing this so that I can slide it smoothly?

  • Jquery calendar and tab sliding div clash...

    - by StealthRT
Hey all, i am trying my best to figure out another way around this problem i seem to have encountered. On my website i have a jquery calendar and also a jquery div tab slider (this: http://www.queness.com/resources/html/tabmenu/jquery-tabbed-menu-queness.html). The problem comes into play with the DIV tag. The calender loads up inside a DIV with a id of 'calender'. The CSS for the tabs have the DIV hidden: CSS: .boxBody div {display:none;} .boxBody div.show {display:block;} .boxBody #category a {display:block;} And because of that, the calender never shows on the page. However, if i comment out that css code above, it shows up but does not cover each section as it should. In other words, everything is shown when it should be hidden until the tabs are clicked on to revel it. code:

<[img] src="img/theLogo.png" width="415" height="146" />

<[img] src="img/Stats.png" width="70" height="52" id="tab1" />

<[img] src="img/cal.png" width="70" height="52" id="tab2" />

<[img] src="img/Loyalty.png" width="70" height="52" id="tab3" />

<[img] src="img/Employees.png" width="70" height="52" id="tab4" />

<[img] src="img/TxtEmail.png" width="70" height="52" id="tab5" />

Just a test here....

How can i change the tab javascript code so that it does not have to hide the DIV's so that the calendar will work? I've tried to replace all div's with 'span' or 'p' but that does not seem to work at all. Any help would be great as i am stuck on this and can not go any further without it being solved! :) David

  • jQuery sliding animation not working

    - by Jake Zeitz
I have three divs stacked on each other but offset so that a part of each div is visible. When one of the bottom divs is clicked I want the top div to animate out and back into the stack at the bottom, then the div that is clicked will appear at the top. So far I only have the code for when the middle div is clicked, but I cannot get it to work properly. What am I doing wrong? (I also realize that the code I wrote is probably terrible, this is the first jQuery code I have written.) The css is very very simple: .first { z-index: 3; } .second { z-index: 2; } .third { z-index: 1; } The basic html is this:

Here is my code: $("div.second").click(function () { $("div.first").animate({ left: "-=200px"}, {duration: "fast", complete: function () { $("div.first").removeClass("first").addClass("third").animate({left: "+=350px", top: "+=60px"}, "fast"); } }); $("div.second").animate({ left: "-=24px", top: "-=30px"}, {duration: "fast", complete: function () { $("div.second").removeClass("second").addClass("first"); } }); $("div.third").animate({ left: "-=24px", top: "-=30px"}, {duration: "fast", complete: function () { $("div.third").removeClass("third").addClass("second"); } }); }); I can get the div.first to move to the side and back. But now I can't get the classes to stay changed. What keeps happening is the div.second will remove it's class and add .first in the animation, but when the animation is complete, it acts like it still has a class of .second.
