  • Getting Classic ASP to work in .js files under IIS 7

    I am moving a clients classic asp webapp to a new IIS7 based server. The site contains some .js files which have javascript but also classic asp in <% % tags which contains a bunch of conditional statements designed to spit out pieces of javascript based on session state variables. I know I need to somehow specify that a .js file should also be treated like an .asp file and run through parsing it. However I am not sure how to go about doing this. Here is what I've tried so far... Under the Server node in IIS under HANDLER MAPPINGS I created a new Script Map with the following settings. Request Path: *.js Executable: C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\asp.dll Name: ASPClassicInJSFiles Mapping: Invoke Handler only if request is mapped to : File Verbs: All verbs Access: Script I also created a similar handler under the site node itself. Under MIME Types .js is defined as application/x-javascript None of these work. If I simply rename the file to have .asp extension then things work, however this app is poorly coded and has literally 100's of files with the .js files included in them under various names and locations, so rename, search and replace is the last option I have.

  • Google Chrome shows garbage text instead of web page

    On some websites, I receive garbage text instead of web page itself. I have noticed that this only happens for pages that are served with Content-Encoding set to GZIP or chunked headers, see the image please: I am using latest version 22.0.1229.94 of Chrome with Windows 7 Ultimaate. The encoding of browser is set to UTF-8. (I also tried changing encoding to Western, etc but same result) Can anyone suggest a solution to this? Thanks

I know that sample can contain bits from 8 , 16, 24 to 32 bits per sample. i want to get 8 bits per sample file how can this be done ?

  • SQL Server replication and load balance

    I'm running a web service that serves a mobile app on IIS 8 and SQL Server 2014, my service has a massive load and i'm trying to improve performance, most of the load is happening on SQL. i don't think i have a bottleneck, my processor and ram is up to the max and i think my code is not that bad, am already using memcached and other stuff to avoid hitting SQL too much. i know i can always upgrade the server hardware but i already have a spare server that i would like to use, so i was thinking to split the SQL load on the 2 servers. What i was thinking of is to setup replication on the other server and do some load balancing, but am not sure how to do the load balance. I know i can adjust my code to hit the other server for some queries but i was hoping to find a solution that avoid changing my code. So my question is, What are the ways of doing load balancing between 2 SQL servers ? I would appreciate suggestions or best practices or some directions. Thanks.

  • Strange issue ! Local network cache of PHP and Apache2 on Win Server 2008 R2

    Software configuration : I have a new Server with windows server 2008 R2 installed via VMWare. I have installed Apache2.2, PHP5.2 and MySQL5.5 as separated packages. Issue : On my first installation of my application all works great. When I updated some JS and CSS files then I access to my application again from a PC on local network I get the old JS and CSS versions! But when I access to the same application on local server I got the latest versions of those files! Link of my application on local server is : http://localhost/BADIL Link of my application from local network is : http://LOCAL_SERVER_IP/BADIL I never had this kind of issue! I think that there are some cache but I don't know where! Maybe on Win Server 2008 R2 or on VMWare ! The question is : Why when I access to my application on the server all works fine, but when I access to the same application from a local network I have the old version of JS and CSS files?? Any one can help me please?! Regards.

However I can't upload mine since my internet connection is slow (would take me days to do the upload). Microsoft has public hard drive images with Windows Server Trial on them, but they work for Virtual PC. I am looking for such files that can be used with VMWare Server.     Hi guys, let me explain you the current scenario. We have a asp.net application on framework 2 running on intranet(Windows 2003 Server and Sql Server 2000). Now we have a xp machine where we installed and configured IIS with a virtual directory pointing on the local Xp machine and this machine is connected to our intranet. We have copied the same application files of the server to this XP machine. But the thing is the connection string/database of the application is pointing towards the intranet server. The problem is when we try to run the application on the XP machine we get this error : An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) Is this query related or concerned with this site or stackoverflow ?

    i make something by wrong... when i right click into .exe file then choose OPEN with and i select choose a program then i select wrong program to open with... then i checked the checkBox that have the label [Always use the selected program to open this kind of file]... The Problem??? All .exe file changed into the wrong program i select it-- so all .exe file opened with this program... My Question?? HOW to get back all .exe file to the regular work..?? and thanks in advance :)

    I am copying the files from machineB and machineC into machineA as I am running my below shell script on machineA. If the files is not there in machineB then it should be there in machineC for sure so I will try copying the files from machineB first, if it is not there in machineB then I will try copying the same files from machineC. I am copying the files in parallel using GNU Parallel library and it is working fine. Currently I am copying 10 files in parallel.   • PHP SimpleXML recursive function to list children and attibutes

    I need some help on the SimpleXML calls for a recursive function that lists the elements name and attributes. Making a XML config file system but each script will have it's own config file as well as a new naming convention. So what I need is an easy way to map out all the elements that have attributes, so like in example 1 I need a simple way to call all the processes but I don't know how to do this without hard coding the elements name is the function call. Is there a way to recursively call a function to match a child element name? I did see the xpath functionality but I don't see how to use this for attributes. Any ideas? Also does the XML in the examples look correct? can I structure my XML like this?     When implementing JQGrid 4.3.0, Jquery 1.6.2, and JQuery UI 1.8.16 Ive come across an issue with the Inline edit. When the inline edit is activated, some of the elements get assigned an auto complete. When the inline edit is canceld or saved, the auto complete does not always go away (selecting text by double clicking it then hitting delete, then hitting escape to exit row edit). Leaving the auto complete controls in edit mode when the row is no longer considered in edit mode. Perhaps you can tell me if there is a problem with the initialization or if I you are aware of an event post-"afterrestorefunc" that the fields can be returned to their "original" state. Original state being displayed as data in the JQGrid row. I've tried removing the DOM after row close, .remove() and .empty(): ... "afterrestorefunc": function(){ $('.ui-autocomplete-input').remove(); } ... but that causes other issues, such as the jqgrid is not able to find the cell when serializing the row for data or edit, and requires a refresh of the page, not just jqgrid, to be able to once again see the data from that row.     I am getting a headache with form validation and hoping that the kind folks here can give me a hand finishing this sucker up I have it basically working except the email validation is very simplistic (only alerts if it is blank but does not actually check it if is a valid email address) and I am relying on ugly alerts but would like to have it reveal a hidden error div instead of the alert.
