    I was playing with progress bar customization in Silverlight application. What I want to reach is to have progress bar label to show current its state in the following format: "Value / Maximum". So, user will see what is the current value, and what is the maximum possible value. It does work properly, if it is written like above. However, I also need to provide ConverterParameter for Convertor, but not sure how to make it. When I write like this: , ConvertParameter={Binding Maximum}, it shows error on start, that Text attribute is not found in TextBlock. I was also trying to set DataContext as {RelativeSource Self}, but then it didn't displays error that DataContext attribute is not found. How to make the described progress bar label properly?

  • What am I doing wrong with my ItemsControl & databinding?

    I'm reworking my simple hex editor to practice using what I've recently learned about data binding in WPF. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. As I understand it, for each byte in the collection "backend" (inherits from ObservableCollection), my ItemsControl should apply the DataTemplate under resources. This template is just a textbox with a binding to a value converter. So I'm expecting to see a row of textboxes, each containing a string representation of one byte. When I use this XAML, all I get is a single line of uneditable text, which as far as I can tell doesn't use a textbox. What am I doing wrong?     Playing with Ruby and Ruby-Pandoc. Seems like a nice tool, if I can get it to work. I'd like to convert some Markdown text (with embedded lists and other fanciness) to Rich Text. Here's the text I'm converting: Title === This is a paragraph. Hallelujah.     I am attempting to learn how to program. I really do want to learn how to program; I love the building and design aspect of it. However, in Java and Python, I have tried and failed with programs as they pertain to objects, classes, methods.. I am trying to develop some code for a program, but im stumped.   • Why does my ReadyNas 4200 have a constant beep post disk failure

    Went to check on a high pitched constant beep coming from the server room and discovered that all the LED lights on the disks were black except one which had a constant green. Post a Re-boot nothing changed. Console indicated that that particular drive has failed. Pulled the drive out and BAM everything is fine. Except, the high pitched beep remains. Plan is currently to replace the drive with a new same size drive we happen to have purchased for expansion. My question is, what will this do? Will the NAS accept the new drive as a replacement for the failed one and decide to shut-up?   • Domain Controllers group not reflected in domain controllers credentials

    I set up a small testlab in vbox consisting of four servers. Two domain controllers dc01, dc02, one offline root ca and one online enterprise sub ca, ca01. All servers are based on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. Everything works as excpected except one thing. If I issue a certificate template with read, enroll and autoenroll rights to the security group "domain controllers" it does not let dc01 or dc02 to enumerate or enroll for the certificate. I've restarted both domain controllers several times to update their credential tokens with the correct group memberhips. So I added dc01 to the "domain computers" group and gave that group read, enroll and autoenroll rights in the template, bam, the certificate was issued. So my question is, why isn't the domain controllers group memberhips reflected in the domain controllers (dc01 and dc02) credentials? Can I view the computers credentials somehow and how should I go about trying to resolve the issue?

    I have Microsoft Project Professional 2003 installed (11.2.2005.1801.15, SP2). I have been trying to open a MPP file created in a newer version so need the converter, which is part of SP3. But when I try to install the SP3 package (as downloaded from Microsoft's site) I get an error message box: --------------------------- Project 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3) --------------------------- The expected version of the product was not found on your system. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- Project (and Office) are licensed and otherwise work correctly. Any advice?

  • SSH Tunneling from Windows to Linux/Ubuntu

    My question is for my girlfriend basicly.... She works at a mall and doesn't do much so she likes to get on myspace and facebook as most girls do and yahoo to check her email. Well she uses her laptop to connect to a wireless network that doesn't allow it.... so I did some research and got putty and connected to my linux box I have here at home and it worked somewhat. My problem is it only views my webpages I have created here on this box it won't go outside of the linux host. I did it like this in putty... port is 1000 and hostname:80 is what I got outa my research then connected after seting up the tunnel bam worked for all webpages on my box but when she puts in www.myspace.com it redirects to my index.php in my var/www and won't travel outside that as I said.. Any help would be much obliged.

I can log into iSeries Navigator, navigate to schema functions permissions and change the permission for public from Exclude to All. bam it works. How do I grant permission to all, either in the CREATE FUNCTION or after?

    I'm planning on using a MacBook Pro with a projector that only has a VGA input (through the MBP's Mini DisplayPort and a Mini DisplayPort to VGA converter). Will this have problems with HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection), either under Snow Leopard or Windows XP?     I have used every step mentioned in the below given link: http://www.moviecodec.com/solutions/iv31-iv32-iv41-iv50-indeo-3-4-and-5-8211/ installed older version on quick-time, window media player classic. I mean everything. But still no luck running the file. I was also trying to find a converter to convert the file into an acceptable format. But unable to do that either. Can anyone help me with this.   • Is there a way to clone an existing VM on an ESXi server without having to re-import it?

    I have imported a VM into an ESXi server using the VMware "Converter stand alone utility". However, this process is a little tedious. Since I eventually want several copies of this VM (or, to be more accurate, several more-or-less identical instances of this VM) to be running at the same time, is there a way to clone the already imported VM? Or do I have to re-import for each instance I want?

  • How can I automatically encode a folder of wmv files to flv?

    I have a folder in which .wmvs are saved after they are finished recording. I would like to set up a script which encodes all of the files in this folder into .flvs with the appropriate size, frame rate, etc and then moves them to another folder. I have been looking for a command line .wmv to .flv converter to do this without much success. Has someone automatically encoded .wmvs to .flvs before that can point me in the right direction?

  • Migrate Palm m500 data into MS Office Outlook

    I have a rather old Palm m500 PDA that I have been considering replacing with a Blackberry, as it has been slowly starting to fail. I already have decided on which model I want, but the problem is that the information in Palm Desktop 4 (what of it is actually exportable) is in a legacy database format that can't be migrated to MS Office Outlook 2007. Is there a converter that will spit out an Outlook-importable file, or is there a free Windows PIM that happens to support importing/exporting both formats?

  • Batch convert divx to iPhone format

    I am looking for free software to do batch conversions of divx video files to iPhone format. I have read the thread: http://superuser.com/questions/5784/looking-to-convert-video-to-iphone-format Handbrake works good for single files but it has very little customization with regards to files names and the batch functionality is not very good (or at least I can't get it to work very easily). Can anyone recommend a good batch converter? A script for Handbrake to do a batch for all in a specific directory would be useful even.

  • Is Gmail Being Blocked by my ISP?

    I asked this over at superuser but they weren't able to help, so I was hoping the sysadmins here will be able to advise as to what's wrong. Although the issue here is with a PC and not a server it still deals with networking so I hope it's not too irrelevant. The Issue: I have a desktop on which I cannot access Gmail and also youtube sign in (I believe since youtube is owned by google they both use the same sign in system). On other computers that uses the same connection via a wireless router I can access both gmail and youtube sign in just fine. On this computer which doesn't have a wireless card and so I have to connect via Ethernet cable (connected to a USB converter since the Ethernet port doesn't work anymore) I can access all sites and services including things like aol and hotmail. But only when it comes to gmail, do I get complete and utter throttling. I even turned off my AV ad Firewall momentarily and no luck. The gmail log in page starts to load and by mid point it just stays there loading and loading and loading... never ends. I tried everything, I reset the modem and router multiple times. I reinstalled my operating system from a vista to a windows 7 hoping that a complete reinstall would solve the issue, but no luck. And yes, I am going to call my ISP but not to solve this issue, but to cancel them. I want to upgrade to cable from DSL anyway. I didn't mention my ISP because I'm not sure if that is within the rules (if it's okay some one let me know and I will). P.S. All this happened one day, before that gmail was perfectly accessible in this computer. I can't remember anything special happening on that day prior to this. The only thing I can think of is, my ISP or Google itself is blocking this computer based on it's mac address, but I don't know if that's even done. Additional info: PC: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit Connection Type: DSL Connecting Medium: Ethernet cable via USB converter EDIT: I should mention I can access gmail and youtube just fine through a IP proxy service.
