  • ListView images just not showing up. Why (Drooping my head in shame that I have to ask)

    I am trying to display images in a WinForms ListView that is in details view mode, but images are just not showing up. I have added a SmallImageList (and a large one for good measure, added images to them, added my items to the ListView, but when I set the ImageIndex nothing happens. Images do not show up. I have also tried using the ImageKey. I feel like an idiot that I have to ask about this, but I must be doing something wrong. Any steps I am missing? Thanx much.

    I have a inherited Listview which standard has to be in Tile Mode. When using this control, the DrawItem gives e.bounds which are clearly bounds of largeIcon view ?? When debugging to check the view it is actually set to, it says it's in Tile view ?? Yet e.DrawText draws LargeIcon view ?? ......... Edit: ................. This seems only to happen when the control is placed upon another usercontrol? ......... Edit 2: ................. It gets stranger ... When i add buttons next to the list to change the view at runtime, "Tile" is the same as "LargeIcon", and "List" view is the same as "SmallIcons" ??? I've also completely removed the ownerdraw ... .......... Edit 3: ................. MSDN Documentation: Tile view Each item appears as a full-sized icon with the item label and subitem information to the right of it. The subitem information that appears is specified by the application. This view is available only on Windows XP and the Windows Server 2003 family. On earlier operating systems, this value is ignored and the ListView control displays in the LargeIcon view. Well I am on XP ya damn liars ?!?     I have a couple of list views, one uses TextViews laid out with xml, the other uses a custom class derived from View. The default halloween color scheme is pretty ugly.     Hi, I've just started a new project in ASP.net 4.0 with MVC 2. What I need to be able to do is have a custom hook at the start and end of each action of the controller. e.g. public void Index() { *** call to the start custom hook to externalfile.cs (is empty so does nothing) ViewData["welcomeMessage"] = "Hello World"; *** call to the end custom hook to externalfile.cs (changes "Hello World!" to "Hi World") return View(); } The View then see welcomeMessage as "Hi World" after being changed in the custom hook. The custom hook would need to be in an external file and not change the "core" compiled code. This causes a problem as with my limited knowledge ASP.net MVC has to be compiled. Does anyone have any advice on how this can be achieved? Thanks

    I have a ListView item layout that is using a HorizontalScrollView in the center. I have used the android attribute "android:descendantFocusability="blocksDescendants"" on my parent LinearLayout so that the ListView items are still selectable. The problem I am having is that when clicking the part of the ListView item which is the HorizontalScrollView, the ListView item click event is not called. How can I get the click event of the HorizontalScrollView to call the ListView list item click event?

  • How to make drupal known submitting custom content

    Hi, I know this is not a drupal forum but, as I’m not getting any response there, I decided to give it a shot here. I’m creating a web site that accepts custom content from users. So, for that matter, this site has a form and a custom module. Instead of using admin theme, this form is placed inside custom template which is created to have a uniform look with the rest of the pages. As a result, creating form elements through hook_form is out of question. Here’s where my problems lie. As this form uses custom theme, I’m not sure as to what can I do to make drupal know that user is submitting new content data when the form is submitted? Would I need to use same query string that of content submission page of admin page like - ?q=node/add/page for action attribute of the html form? (OR) the only way is to map the url to my custom function and invoke some sort of hook inside of it? Thanks

    Hi, I have been implementing a class which class extends ArrayAdapter and implements Filterable. The filtering part (in the performFiltering method()) seems to go ok, it fills the FilterResults object just as expected. But then I think I'm not doing it right on how to publish the results, atm I have : protected void publishResults(CharSequence prefix, FilterResults results) { // NOTE: this function is *always* called from the UI thread. subItems = (Vector)results.values; notifyDataSetChanged(); } But this simply won't "populate" my List with the received data. So now my question is how do I populate my List with the received results ? Do I have to do that programmatically ?

Please, note that my version is 12.04 and I have not got any experience with Linux. I have checked a lot articles and questions likes this one, but have not been able to find what I am looking for. I want to create a custom quick launcher menu and to add it the the standard launcher, but I want to add links to other programs or folders in it. For example: A browsers menu - when it is open (with right mouse click on it), my browsers will be listed: chrome safari opera firefox I even may add their icons there. Music menu - some shortcuts to my favorite music folders.

    Before making this question, I have searched and read these ones: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/541966/android-how-do-i-do-a-lazy-load-of-images-in-listview http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1409623/android-issue-with-lazy-loading-images-into-a-listview My problem is I have a ListView, where: Each row contains an ImageView, whose content is to be loaded from the internet Each row's view is recycled as in ApiDemo's List14 What I want ultimately: Load images lazily, only when the user scrolls to them Load images on different thread(s) to maintain responsiveness My current approach: In the adapter's getView() method, apart from setting up other child views, I launch a new thread that loads the Bitmap from the internet. When that loading thread finishes, it returns the Bitmap to be set on the ImageView (I do this using AsyncTask or Handler). Because I recycle ImageViews, it may be the case that I first want to set a view with Bitmap#1, then later want to set it to Bitmap#2 when the user scrolls down. Bitmap#1 may happen to take longer than Bitmap#2 to load, so it may end up overwriting Bitmap#2 on the view. I solve this by maintaining a WeakHashMap that remembers the last Bitmap I want to set for that view. Below is somewhat a pseudocode for my current approach. Is there any risk when the loading thread calls back to the ImageView later, when the Activity is already destroyed? Moreover, AsyncTask has some global thread-pool underneath, so if lengthy tasks are not canceled when they're not needed anymore, I may end up wasting time loading things users don't see. My current design of keeping this thing globally is too ugly, and may eventually cause some leaks that are beyond my understanding. Instead of making ImageLoader a singleton like this, I'm thinking of actually creating separate ImageLoader objects for different Activities, then when an Activity gets destroyed, all its AsyncTask will be canceled. Is this too awkward? Anyway, I wonder if there is a safe and standard way of doing this in Android. In addition, I don't know iPhone but is there a similar problem there and do they have a standard way to do this kind of task? Many thanks.

    Problem: I am trying to customize a custom Workflow Foundation activity (called CustomActivity) so that it will display with a specific background color. Why does Visual Studio's Workflow Designer not respect the CustomActivityTheme when it displays a CustomActivity?

    I need to find a way to show the value of a custom attribute in place of the "Product Name" shown in the image below. EDIT: So the answer turned out to be quite simple. You see what I failed to mention above was that there was indeed output... but that it was just a number (eg: 52). Turns out this was the ID for that custom attribute value (It was a Dropdown type of custom attribute). So in summary This works for custom attributes of type text: echo $this->htmlEscape($_item->getYearmade()) But for all other types of custom attribute (I think), the following should be used: echo $this->htmlEscape($_item->getAttributeText('yearmade')) I would not have discovered this without the most excellent answer provided by Alan Storm, below.   • ASP.NET Creating a Rich Repeater, DataBind wiping out custom added controls...

    So...I had this clever idea that I'd create my own Repeater control that implements paging and sorting by inheriting from Repeater and extending it's capabilities. I found some information and bits and pieces on how to go about this and everything seemed ok... I created a WebControlLibrary to house my custom controls. Along with the enriched repeater, I created a composite control that would act as the "pager bar", having forward, back and page selection. My pager bar works 100% on it's own, properly firing a paged changed event when the user interacts with it. The rich repeater databinds without issue, but when the databind fires (when I call base.databind()), the control collection is cleared out and my pager bars are removed. This screws up the viewstate for the pager bars making them unable to fire their events properly or maintain their state. I've tried adding the controls back to the collection after base.databind() fires, but that doesn't solve the issue. I start to get very strange results including problems with altering the hierarchy of the control tree (resolved by adding [ViewStateModeById]). Before I go back to the drawing board and create a second composite control which contains a repeater and the pager bars (so that the repeater isn't responsible for the pager bars viewstate) are there any thoughts about how to resolve the issue? In the interest of share and share alike, the code for the repeater itself is below, the pagerbars aren't as significant as the issue is really the maintaining of state for any additional child controls. I have 4 columns, 2 with team names linked to combo boxes and 2 with the scores linked to numericupdown controls.     Hi, I know how you can set an tag's url attribute programmatically in c#, but it seems when I try to access the image element inside of a tag I cannot access it. The is residing in the . NOTE: I am only having this issue inside the Now the ListView tag is also databound.(this is probably why I cannot access, because it isn't guaranteed that it will even exist perhaps). How can I get around this so that I can display my images programmatically or is there a better solution?   • How to Identify a ListViewItem to Update a Single Row

    I have a ListView displays information about an object. When I click a ListView Item, I open an Activity that let's me manipulate parameters of the object held in the adapter. These parameters are updated and stored remotely. When I return to the ListView (via the back button), I want to update the ListView Item that I clicked originally by requesting the parameter values from the remote server. I am currently doing this up updating the entire ListView by clearing it and rebuilding it. How do I reference the ListView Item so that I can update the data for that item only? Thanks, Jason
