  • Performance Drop Lingers after Load [closed]

    Possible Duplicate: How do you do Load Testing and Capacity Planning for Databases I'm noticing a drop in performance after subsequent load tests. Although our cpu and ram numbers look fine, performance seems to degrade over time as sustained load is applied to the system. If we allow more time between the load tests, the performance gets back to about 1,000 ms, but if you apply load every 3 minutes or so, it starts to degrade to a point where it takes 12,000 ms. None of the application servers are showing lingering apache processes and the number of database connections cools down to about 3 (from a sustained 20). Is there anything else I should be looking out for here?

    Hi, i'm trying to emulate how image is being dragged inside the windows photo viewer when it is large. The problem is, i don't how to drag the image while keeping it intact in the form's edges. If you're observing windows photo viewer, when you drag the image downward for instance the image moves and stops when the top end of the image is visible, but in my app, it continues to move since i don't know how to check when to stop it. Any idea please?

    I am having an undesired effect when I drag a div from a container div which is set as overflow: scroll. I have found an example of someone else where they have had the issue but I have been unable to find a resolution Example on Paste bin What happens is that the scroll is just increased, I can see why this would be the desired behaviour if you wanted to drag to a destination within the scrollable div but I want to be able to take it outside of its scrolling grasp.     I have created a table with draggable rows. Unfortunately, most of the rows are covered with a large textbox input element. In order to drag the rows, you have to grab the row on the very edge just outside of the textbox. Is there a way to allow the rows to be grabbed through the textboxes without destroying the textbox functionality? (i.e. relay the mouse drag event, but not the mouseclick event?)

    Hi, I'm trying to set up very basic drag and drop for my NSTableView. The table view has a single column (with a custom cell). The column is bound to an NSArrayController, and the array controller's content array is bound to an NSArray on my controller object. The data displays fine in the table. Is there something I'm supposed to override in the cell subclass to enable this functionality? EDIT: Confirmed. Switching the custom cell for a regular NSTextFieldCell made dragging work. Now, how do I make drag and drop work with my custom cell?

    I have a drop down list of Type in my Products model. I want to be able to search in the Products index.html.erb so a user selects a type from a drop down list, clicks search and all the products matching that type are returned. I can get normal search methods working where the user enters in their search in a text box but I cannot get it working when they just select from a dropdown. Can anyone help?

    I have two tables (tbl and tbl_new) that both use the same sequence (tbl_id_seq). I'd like to drop one of those tables. On tbl, I've removed the modifier "not null default nextval('tbl_id_seq'::regclass)" but that modifier remains on tbl_new. I'm getting the following error: ERROR: cannot drop table tbl because other objects depend on it DETAIL: default for table tbl_new column id depends on sequence tbl_id_seq After reviewing http://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.1/static/sql-droptable.html It looks like there is only CASCADE and RESTRICT as options.

  • Prevent drop down list options scrolling on Windows in SWT

    One of the drop down lists in my Java SWT application has 8 fixed options. When I click on it only 5 first options are visible and I have to scroll the list down to view the rest. Is there any way to force it to make all options visible without having to scroll down? There is another similar .NET application that has same drop down list with the same options and they all are visible without having to scroll down!

  • WPF DataGrid does not scoll on drag

    I have a strange problem with a WPF DataGrid from WPF Toolkit. The scrollbars appear correctly when the number of rows grows, and the scrolling works when you press up or down arrows on the scrollbar. The problem comes in when I try to drag the scrollbar on the datagrid. My page has a scroll viewer around it. When I click and drag the scrollbar on the grid, it scrolls the page scroller instead. If the scrollbar does not apear on the page, there grid still does not scroll. Is there a workaround for this??? Would really appreciate some help with this issue! For example, in this case if the page is < 280, it scrolls on drag.   • Troubleshooting iptables and configuring it to drop the priority of long-term connections

    I'm somewhat familiar with the general concepts of iptables, and would like to learn it in more detail. I'm hoping that my learning experience can also be useful. The situation: I'm running dd-wrt on my router. Despite its purported QoS skills, I'm still seeing connection latency shoot up hugely whenever there's an ongoing http connection, eg some large download. Under such conditions, it can take 10 seconds or more to load a basic webpage; sometimes the connections are dropped entirely. I've tried adjusting the parameters, dropping the allotted bandwidth for up and download to well under my limit, but nothing seems to work. dd-wrt is configured to use HTB as the QoS algorithm; HFSC, although presented as an option, seems to cause the router to crash, and is rumoured to not actually work on any linux system. I'd like to be able to troubleshoot this issue and hopefully improve the settings that dd-wrt is using, but I'm finding the learning curve a bit overwhelming. For starters I am not sure what HTB actually specifies: is this a set of iptables commands, or do some of those commands specify how HTB is to be used? I would like it to prioritize based on protocol the way that it already supposed to, and in addition I'd like to have it drop the priority of connections which have a high total byte count, say over 400KB. Also tips on utilities that can be run under dd-wrt to get more info on what's going on in there are appreciated. I've tried to get iftop to work but there were issues running curses. I'm leaning towards replacing dd-wrt with openwrt; comments on this strategy are also welcome. I suspect that I would be well advised to get a second router as a standin before trying that. It may be worth noting that my total bandwidth is pretty limited (256Kbit/s).
