  • Integrate openid4java to GWT Project

    - by Slyker
    Hi, I created an GWT project in eclipse. Now I tried to implement openId with using the openid4java library. I imported the .jar files via properties--java build path: openid4java-0.9.5.jar lib/*.jar In addition I copied the .jar files into the war/WEB-INF/lib directory. The problem at hand comes up when I call the authenticate() method. Then I get a: HTTP ERROR 500 Problem accessing /openid/openid. Reason: access denied (java.lang.RuntimePermission modifyThreadGroup)Caused by:java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.lang.RuntimePermission modifyThreadGroup) at java.security.AccessControlContext.checkPermission(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.checkPermission(Unknown Source) at java.lang.SecurityManager.checkPermission(Unknown Source) at com.google.appengine.tools.development.DevAppServerFactory$CustomSecurityManager.checkPermission(DevAppServerFactory.java:166) at com.google.appengine.tools.development.DevAppServerFactory$CustomSecurityManager.checkAccess(DevAppServerFactory.java:191) at java.lang.ThreadGroup.checkAccess(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.init(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.<init>(Unknown Source) at org.apache.commons.httpclient.MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager$ReferenceQueueThread.<init>(MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.java:1039) at org.apache.commons.httpclient.MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.storeReferenceToConnection(MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.java:164) at org.apache.commons.httpclient.MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.access$900(MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.java:64) at org.apache.commons.httpclient.MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager$ConnectionPool.createConnection(MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.java:750) at org.apache.commons.httpclient.MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.doGetConnection(MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.java:469) at org.apache.commons.httpclient.MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.getConnectionWithTimeout(MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager.java:394) at org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpMethodDirector.executeMethod(HttpMethodDirector.java:152) at org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpClient.executeMethod(HttpClient.java:396) at org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpClient.executeMethod(HttpClient.java:324) at org.openid4java.util.HttpCache.head(HttpCache.java:296) at org.openid4java.discovery.yadis.YadisResolver.retrieveXrdsLocation(YadisResolver.java:360) at org.openid4java.discovery.yadis.YadisResolver.discover(YadisResolver.java:229) at org.openid4java.discovery.yadis.YadisResolver.discover(YadisResolver.java:221) at org.openid4java.discovery.yadis.YadisResolver.discover(YadisResolver.java:179) at org.openid4java.discovery.Discovery.discover(Discovery.java:134) at org.openid4java.discovery.Discovery.discover(Discovery.java:114) at org.openid4java.consumer.ConsumerManager.discover(ConsumerManager.java:527) at auth.openid.server.OpenIDServlet.authenticate(OpenIDServlet.java:138) at auth.openid.server.OpenIDServlet.doGet(OpenIDServlet.java:101) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:693) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:806) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHolder.handle(ServletHolder.java:511) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler$CachedChain.doFilter(ServletHandler.java:1166) at com.google.appengine.api.blobstore.dev.ServeBlobFilter.doFilter(ServeBlobFilter.java:51) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler$CachedChain.doFilter(ServletHandler.java:1157) at com.google.apphosting.utils.servlet.TransactionCleanupFilter.doFilter(TransactionCleanupFilter.java:43) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler$CachedChain.doFilter(ServletHandler.java:1157) at com.google.appengine.tools.development.StaticFileFilter.doFilter(StaticFileFilter.java:122) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler$CachedChain.doFilter(ServletHandler.java:1157) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler.handle(ServletHandler.java:388) at org.mortbay.jetty.security.SecurityHandler.handle(SecurityHandler.java:216) at org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.SessionHandler.handle(SessionHandler.java:182) at org.mortbay.jetty.handler.ContextHandler.handle(ContextHandler.java:765) at org.mortbay.jetty.webapp.WebAppContext.handle(WebAppContext.java:418) at com.google.apphosting.utils.jetty.DevAppEngineWebAppContext.handle(DevAppEngineWebAppContext.java:70) at org.mortbay.jetty.handler.HandlerWrapper.handle(HandlerWrapper.java:152) at com.google.appengine.tools.development.JettyContainerService$ApiProxyHandler.handle(JettyContainerService.java:349) at org.mortbay.jetty.handler.HandlerWrapper.handle(HandlerWrapper.java:152) at org.mortbay.jetty.Server.handle(Server.java:326) at org.mortbay.jetty.HttpConnection.handleRequest(HttpConnection.java:542) at org.mortbay.jetty.HttpConnection$RequestHandler.headerComplete(HttpConnection.java:923) at org.mortbay.jetty.HttpParser.parseNext(HttpParser.java:547) at org.mortbay.jetty.HttpParser.parseAvailable(HttpParser.java:212) at org.mortbay.jetty.HttpConnection.handle(HttpConnection.java:404) at org.mortbay.io.nio.SelectChannelEndPoint.run(SelectChannelEndPoint.java:409) at org.mortbay.thread.QueuedThreadPool$PoolThread.run(QueuedThreadPool.java:582) Here my servlet source: import com.google.gwt.user.client.rpc.RemoteService; Did I make any mistakes in importing the openid4java library? (which?) All other methods in the servlet which do not use the openid4java implementation work fine. Thanks, Andreas

  • Multiple schema validation in Java

    - by user279554
    Hi, I am trying to do multiple schema validation in Java. I don't understand where I am doing wrong. Any help will be appreciated. abc.xsd <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xn="project-xml-r4j_another.xsd"> <xsd:import namespace="project-xml-r4j_another.xsd"/> <xsd:element name="abc" type="abc"> </xsd:element> <xsd:complexType name="abc"> <xsd:sequence> <xsd:element name="test" type="test" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <!--<xsd:element name="proj" type="xn:proj"/>--> </xsd:sequence> <xsd:attribute name="id" type="xsd:ID" use="required"/> </xsd:complexType> <xsd:complexType name="test"> <xsd:attribute name="id" type="xsd:ID" use="required"></xsd:attribute> <xsd:attribute name="value" use="required"> <xsd:simpleType> <xsd:restriction base="xsd:string"> <xsd:maxLength value="100" /> </xsd:restriction> </xsd:simpleType> </xsd:attribute> </xsd:complexType> </xsd:schema> project-xml-r4j_another.xsd <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="project-xml-r4j_another.xsd" xmlns="project-xml-r4j_another.xsd" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified"> <xsd:element name="proj" type="proj"> <xsd:annotation> <xsd:documentation> The project is the root tag of a project-xml. </xsd:documentation> </xsd:annotation> </xsd:element> <xsd:complexType name="proj"> <xsd:attribute name="id" type="xsd:ID" use="required"/> </xsd:complexType> </xsd:schema> Test case package test; import java.io.File; import java.io.IOException; import javax.xml.XMLConstants; import javax.xml.transform.Source; import javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamSource; import javax.xml.validation.Schema; import javax.xml.validation.SchemaFactory; import javax.xml.validation.Validator; import org.apache.log4j.Logger; import org.junit.Test; import org.xml.sax.SAXException; import org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; import org.xml.sax.helpers.DefaultHandler; import com.ericsson.ccrtool.core.project.projectxml.InvalidProjectXmlException; public class TestSchema { private static final Logger logger = Logger.getLogger(TestSchema.class); static final String W3C_XML_SCHEMA = XMLConstants.W3C_XML_SCHEMA_NS_URI; @Test public void test() { System.out.println("TestSchema.test()"); try { SchemaFactory schemaFactory = SchemaFactory.newInstance(W3C_XML_SCHEMA); // create a grammar object.   • Naming convention for utility classes in Java

    - by Zarjay
    When writing utility classes in Java, what are some good guidelines to follow? Should packges be "util" or "utils"? Is it ClassUtil or ClassUtils? When is a class a "Helper" or a "Utility"? Utility or Utilities? Or do you use a mixture of them? The standard Java library uses both Utils and Utilities: javax.swing.Utilities javax.print.attribute.AttributeSetUtilities javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicGraphicsUtils Apache uses a variety of Util and Utils, although mostly Utils: org.apache.commons.modeler.util.DomUtil org.apache.commons.modeler.util.IntrospectionUtils org.apache.commons.io.FileSystemUtils org.apache.lucene.wordnet.AnalyzerUtil org.apache.lucene.util.ArrayUtil org.apache.lucene.xmlparser.DOMUtils Spring uses a lot of Helper and Utils classes: org.springframework.web.util.UrlPathHelper org.springframework.core.ReflectiveVisitorHelper org.springframework.core.NestedExceptionUtils org.springframework.util.NumberUtils So, how do you name your utility classes?

  • How to disable JSR-303 Hibernate Validation in Spring3

    - by Pinchy
    After putting hibernate-validator.jar and javax.validation-api.jar in my classpath the org.springframework.dao.DataIntegrityViolationException is replaced by org.hibernate.exception.ConstraintViolationException and this is causing a lot of issues. I have to put this two jars to be able to upgrade Jersey to 2.4, it has dependency on these two jars. Putting these properties into hibernate.properties file doesn't help, hibernate simply ignores them but it loads the properties on start-up loaded properties from resource hibernate.properties: {hibernate.validator.apply_to_ddl=false,hibernate.validator.autoregister_listeners=false etc} javax.persistence.validation.mode=none hibernate.validator.autoregister_listeners=false hibernate.validator.apply_to_ddl=false I am using Spring 3.2.4 with SessionFactory and mapping resources from hbm.xml files with constraints in it, hibernate 3.6.9.final, hibernate-validator 5.0.final, javax.validator-api 1.1.0.Final I just can't figure out how to disable hibernate validation, any help will be much appreciated.

  • j2ME setLocationListener()

    - by Jeff Catania
    I'm programming a GPS tracking system using the Motorola i335 running on Sprint's IDEN network. I'm using the javax.microedition.location api to find the GPS coordinates. To set up the updating, you use the [setLocationListener][1] method. I originally tried passing (listener,2,1,1). However there was too many invalid locations being received (where the GPS could not get the fix in the specified time), so I changed the parameters to (listener, 20, 20, 1). Now the system barely throws any invalid locations. My goal is to get the fastest number of updates that are realistic. Have any of you found a happy medium for parameters of this method? • CDI @Conversation not propagated with handleNavigation()

    - by Thomas Kernstock
    I have a problem with the propagation of a long runnig conversation when I redirect the view by the handleNavigation() method. Here is my test code: I have a conversationscoped bean and two views: conversationStart.xhtml is called in Browser with URL http://localhost/tests/conversationStart.jsf?paramTestId=ParameterInUrl <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"> <f:metadata> <f:viewParam name="paramTestId" value="#{conversationTest.fieldTestId}" /> <f:event type="preRenderView" listener="#{conversationTest.preRenderView}" /> </f:metadata> <h:head> <title>Conversation Test</title> </h:head> <h:body> <h:form> <h2>Startpage Test Conversation with Redirect</h2> <h:messages /> <h:outputText value="Testparameter: #{conversationTest.fieldTestId}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Logged In: #{conversationTest.loggedIn}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation ID: #{conversationTest.convID}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation Transient: #{conversationTest.convTransient}"/><br /> <h:commandButton action="#{conversationTest.startLogin}" value="Login ->" rendered="#{conversationTest.loggedIn==false}" /><br /> <h:commandLink action="/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml?faces-redirect=true" value="Login ->" rendered="#{conversationTest.loggedIn==false}" /><br /> </h:form> <h:link outcome="/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml" value="Login Link" rendered="#{conversationTest.loggedIn==false}"> <f:param name="cid" value="#{conversationTest.convID}"></f:param> </h:link> </h:body> </html> The Parameter is written to the beanfield and displayed in the view correctly. There are 3 different possibilites to navigate to the next View. All 3 work fine. The beanfield shows up the next view (conversationLogin.xhtml) too: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"> <h:head> <title>Conversation Test</title> </h:head> <h:body> <h:form> <h2>Loginpage Test Conversation with Redirect</h2> <h:messages /> <h:outputText value="Testparameter: #{conversationTest.fieldTestId}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Logged In: #{conversationTest.loggedIn}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation ID: #{conversationTest.convID}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation Transient: #{conversationTest.convTransient}"/><br /> <h:commandButton action="#{conversationTest.login}" value="Login And Return" /><br /> </h:form> </h:body> </html> When I return to the Startpage by clicking the button the conversation bean still contains all values. So everything is fine. Here is the bean: package test; import java.io.Serializable; import javax.annotation.PostConstruct; import javax.enterprise.context.Conversation; import javax.enterprise.context.ConversationScoped; import javax.faces.event.ComponentSystemEvent; import javax.inject.Inject; import javax.inject.Named; @Named @ConversationScoped public class ConversationTest implements Serializable{ private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; final String CONVERSATION_NAME="longRun"; @Inject Conversation conversation; private boolean loggedIn; private String fieldTestId; @PostConstruct public void init(){ if(conversation.isTransient()){ conversation.begin(CONVERSATION_NAME); System.out.println("New Conversation started"); } loggedIn=false; } public String getConvID(){ return conversation.getId(); } public boolean isConvTransient(){ return conversation.isTransient(); } public boolean getLoggedIn(){ return loggedIn; } public String startLogin(){ return "/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml?faces-redirect=true"; } public String login(){ loggedIn=true; return "/tests/conversationStart.xhtml?faces-redirect=true"; } public void preRenderView(ComponentSystemEvent ev) { // if(!loggedIn){ // System.out.println("Will redirect to Login"); // FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); // ctx.getApplication().getNavigationHandler().handleNavigation(ctx, null, "/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml?faces-redirect=true"); // ctx.renderResponse(); // } } public void setFieldTestId(String fieldTestId) { System.out.println("fieldTestID was set to: "+fieldTestId); this.fieldTestId = fieldTestId; } public String getFieldTestId() { return fieldTestId; } } Now comes the problem !! As soon as I try to redirect the page in the preRenderView method of the bean (just uncomment the code in the method), using handleNavigation() the bean is created again in the next view instead of using the allready created instance. Although the cid parameter is propagated to the next view ! Has anybody an idea what's wrong ? best regards Thomas

  • Using type hints in Clojure for Java return values

    - by mikera
    I'm working on some Java / Clojure interoperability and came across a reflection warning for the following code: (defn load-image [resource-name] (javax.imageio.ImageIO/read (.getResource (class javax.imageio.ImageIO) resource-name))) => Reflection warning, clojure/repl.clj:37 - reference to field read can't be resolved. I'm surprised at this because getResource always returns a URL and I would therefore expect the compiler to use the appropriate static method in javax.imageio.ImageIO/read. The code works fine BTW so it is clearly finding the right method at run time. So two questions: Why is this returning a reflection warning? What type hint do I need to fix this?

  • Binding a Java Integer to JavaScriptEngine doesn't work

    - by rplantiko
    To see how binding Java objects to symbols in a dynamic language works, I wrote the following spike test, binding a java.lang.Integer to the symbol i to be changed in JavaScript: @Test public void bindToLocalVariable() throws ScriptException { javax.script.ScriptEngineManager sem = new javax.script.ScriptEngineManager(); javax.script.ScriptEngine engine = sem.getEngineByName("JavaScript"); Integer i = new Integer(17); engine.put( "i", i ); engine.eval( "i++;" ); // Now execute JavaScript assertEquals( 18, i.intValue() ); } Unfortunately, I get a failure. java.lang.AssertionError: expected:<18> but was:<17> JavaScript knows the symbol i (otherwise it would have thrown a ScriptException which is not the case), but the increment operation i++ is not performed on the original Integer object. Any explanations?

  • Why is F# member not found when used in subclass

    - by James Black
    I have a base type that I want to inherit from, for all my DAO objects, but this member gets the error further down about not being defined: type BaseDAO() = member v.ExecNonQuery2(conn)(sqlStr) = let comm = new MySqlCommand(sqlStr, conn, CommandTimeout = 10) comm.ExecuteNonQuery |> ignore comm.Dispose |> ignore I inherit in this type: type CreateDatabase() = inherit BaseDAO() member private self.createDatabase(conn) = self.ExecNonQuery2 conn "DROP DATABASE IF EXISTS restaurant" This is what I see when my script runs in the interactive shell: --> Referenced 'C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Connector Net 6.2.3\Assemblies\MySql.Data.dll' [Loading C:\Users\jblack\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\RestaurantService\RestaurantDAO\BaseDAO.fs] namespace FSI_0106.RestaurantServiceDAO type BaseDAO = class new : unit -> BaseDAO member ExecNonQuery2 : conn:MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlConnection -> sqlStr:string -> unit member execNonQuery : sqlStr:string -> unit member execQuery : sqlStr:string * selectFunc:(MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlDataReader -> 'a list) -> 'a list member f : x:obj -> string member Conn : MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlConnection end [Loading C:\Users\jblack\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\RestaurantService\RestaurantDAO\CreateDatabase.fs] C:\Users\jblack\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\RestaurantService\RestaurantDAO\CreateDatabase.fs(56,14): error FS0039: The field, constructor or member 'ExecNonQuery2' is not defined I am curious what I am doing wrong. I have tried not inheriting, and just instantiating the BaseDAO type in the function, but I get the same error. I started on this path because I had a property that had the same error, so it seems there may be a problem with how I am defining my BaseDAO type, but it compiles with no error, which further confuses me about this problem.

  • Skipping the BufferedReader readLine() method in java

    - by DDP
    Is there a easy way to skip the readLine() method in java if it takes longer than, say, 2 seconds? Here's the context in which I'm asking this question: public void run() { boolean looping = true; while(looping) { for(int x = 0; x<clientList.size(); x++) { try { Comm s = clientList.get(x); String str = s.recieve(); // code that does something based on the string in the line above } // other stuff like catch methods } } } Comm is a class I wrote, and the receive method, which contains a BufferedReader called "in", is this: public String recieve() { try { if(active) return in.readLine(); } catch(Exception e) { System.out.println("Comm Error 2: "+e); } return ""; } I've noticed that the program stops and waits for the input stream to have something to read before continuing. Which is bad, because I need the program to keep looping (as it loops, it goes to all the other clients and asks for input). Is there a way to skip the readLine() process if there's nothing to read? I'm also pretty sure that I'm not explaining this well, so please ask me questions if I'm being confusing.

  • Problem connecting to Hsqldb via Hibernate when running a Eclipse GWT project.

    - by Toby
    Hi, I'm trying to run a simple GWT project where I'm trying to do a simple persitence via hibernate to a HSQLDB database. The database I'm using I have been using for at least 2 years with several osgi applications without any problems. So all I done is reused the same configuration and added a simple object mapping file. The problem I have is that I get a socket creation error when ever I try to persist the object with in GWT jetty. I now the database is up and running, I can telnet to it, run OSGI projects that uses the same config with out problems. Have been trying the whole day long and googled the ** out of the web ... in vain. You are my last hope: Here's my code: The Entity: package sas.test.model; import javax.persistence.Entity; import javax.persistence.Id; @Entity public class Employee { @Id private int id; private String name; private long salary; public Employee() {} public Employee(int id) { this.id = id; } public int getId() { return id; } public void setId(int id) { this.id = id; } public String getName() { return name; } public void setName(String name) { this.name = name; } public long getSalary() { return salary; } public void setSalary (long salary) { this.salary = salary; } } The service class: package sas.test.dao; import sas.test.model.Employee; import javax.persistence.*; import java.util.List; public class EmployeeService { protected EntityManager em; public EmployeeService(EntityManager em) { this.em = em; } public Employee createEmployee(int id, String name, long salary) { Employee emp = new Employee(id); if (emp != null) { emp.setSalary(emp.getSalary() + raise); } return emp; } public Employee findEmployee(int id) { return em.find(Employee.class, id); } } And the main class: package sas.test.main; import javax.persistence.*; import java.util.List; import sas.test.model.Employee; import sas.test.dao.EmployeeService; public class ExecuteMe { public static void main(String[] args) { EntityManagerFactory emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("EmployeeService"); • Absent Code attribute in method that is not native or abstract

    - by kerry
    I got the following, quite puzzling error today when running a unit test: java.lang.ClassFormatError: Absent Code attribute in method that is not native or abstract in class file javax/servlet/http/Cookie A google search found this post, which explains that it is caused by having an interface in the classpath, and not an actual implementation. In this case it’s the java-ee interface. To fix this I added the jetty servlet api implementation to my pom: jetty javax.servlet test Piece of cake. I have run in to this before, so I figured I would capture the fix here in case I run in to it again.

  • WebLogic JDBC Use of Oracle Wallet for SSL

    - by Steve Felts
    Introduction Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) can be used to secure the connection between the middle tier “client”, WebLogic Server (WLS) in this case, and the Oracle database server.  Data between WLS and database can be encrypted.  The server can be authenticated so you have proof that the database can be trusted by validating a certificate from the server.  The client can be authenticated so that the database only accepts connections from clients that it trusts. Similar to the discussion in an earlier article about using the Oracle wallet for database credentials, the Oracle wallet can also be used with SSL to store the keys and certificates.  By using it correctly, clear text passwords can be eliminated from the JDBC configuration and client/server configuration can be simplified by sharing the wallet across multiple datasources. There is a very good Oracle Technical White Paper on using SSL with the Oracle thin driver at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/wp-oracle-jdbc-thin-ssl-130128.pdf [LINK1].  The link http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/index-087556.html [LINK2] describes how to use WebLogic Server with Oracle JDBC Driver SSL. The information in this article is a guide on what steps need to be taken in the variety of available options; use the links above for details. SSL from the driver to the database server is basically turned on by specifying a protocol of “tcps” in the URL.  However, there is a fair amount of setup needed.  Also remember that there is an overhead in performance. Creating the wallets The common use cases are 1. “data encryption and server-only authentication”, requiring just a trust store, or 2. “data encryption and authentication of both tiers” (client and server), requiring a trust store and a key store. It is recommended to use the auto-login wallet type so that clear text passwords are not needed in the datasource configuration to open the wallet.  The store type for an auto-login wallet is “SSO” (Single Sign On), not “JKS” or “PKCS12” as in [LINK2].  The file name is “cwallet.sso”. Wallets are created using the orapki tool.  They need to be created based on the usage (encryption and/or authentication).  This is discussed in detail in [LINK1] in Appendix B or in the Advanced Security Administrator’s Guide of the Database documentation. Database Server Configuration It is necessary to update the sqlnet.ora and listener.ora files with the directory location of the wallet using WALLET_LOCATION.  These files also indicate whether or not SSL_CLIENT_AUTHENTICATION is being used (true or false). The Oracle Listener must also be configured to use the TCPS protocol.  The recommended port is 2484. LISTENER = (ADDRESS_LIST= (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcps)(HOST=servername)(PORT=2484))) WebLogic Server Classpath The WebLogic Server CLASSPATH must have three additional security files. The files that need to be added to the WLS CLASSPATH are $MW_HOME/modules/com.oracle.osdt_cert_1.0.0.0.jar $MW_HOME/modules/com.oracle.osdt_core_1.0.0.0.jar $MW_HOME/modules/com.oracle.oraclepki_1.0.0.0.jar One way to do this is to add them to PRE_CLASSPATH environment variable for use with the standard WebLogic scripts. Setting the Oracle Security Provider It’s necessary to enable the Oracle PKI provider on the client side.  This can either be done statically by updating the java.security file under the JRE or dynamically by setting it in a WLS startup class using java.security.Security.insertProviderAt(new oracle.security.pki.OraclePKIProvider (), 3); See the full example of the startup class in [LINK2]. Datasource Configuration When creating a WLS datasource, set the PROTOCOL in the URL to tcps as in the following. jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcps)(HOST=host)(PORT=port))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=myservice))) For encryption and server authentication, use the datasource connection properties: - javax.net.ssl.trustStore=location of wallet file on the client - javax.net.ssl.trustStoreType=”SSO” For client authentication, use the datasource connection properties: - javax.net.ssl.keyStore=location of wallet file on the client - javax.net.ssl.keyStoreType=”SSO” Note that the driver connection properties for the wallet require a file name, not a directory name. Active GridLink ONS over SSL For completeness, there is another SSL usage for WLS datasources.  The communication with the Oracle Notification Service (ONS) for load balancing information and node up/down events can use SSL also. Create an auto-login wallet and use the wallet on the client and server.  The following is a sample sequence to create a test wallet for use with ONS. orapki wallet create -wallet ons -auto_login -pwd ONS_Wallet orapki wallet add -wallet ons -dn "CN=ons_test,C=US" -keysize 1024 -self_signed -validity 9999 -pwd ONS_Wallet orapki wallet export -wallet ons -dn "CN=ons_test,C=US" -cert ons/cert.txt -pwd ONS_Wallet On the database server side, it’s necessary to define the walletfile directory in the file $CRS_HOME/opmn/conf/ons.config and run onsctl stop/start. When configuring an Active GridLink datasource, the connection to the ONS must be defined.  In addition to the host and port, the wallet file directory must be specified.  By not giving a password, a SSO wallet is assumed. Summary To use SSL with the Oracle thin driver without any clear text passwords, use an SSO Oracle Wallet.  SSL support in the Oracle thin driver is available starting in 10g Release 2.

  • Loosely Coupled Tabs in Java Editor

    - by Geertjan
    One of the NetBeans Platform 7.1 API enhancements is the @MultiViewElement.Registration annotation. That lets you add a new tab to any existing NetBeans editor. Really powerful since I didn't need to change the sources (or even look at the sources) of the Java editor to add the "Visualizer" tab to it, as shown below: Right now, the tab doesn't show anything, that will come in the next blog entry. The point here is to show how to set things up so that you have a new tab in the Java editor, without needing to touch any of the NetBeans IDE sources: And here's the code, take note of the annotation, which registers the JPanel for the "text/x-java" MIME type: import javax.swing.Action; import javax.swing.JComponent; import javax.swing.JPanel; import javax.swing.JToolBar; import org.netbeans.core.spi.multiview.CloseOperationState; import org.netbeans.core.spi.multiview.MultiViewElement; import org.netbeans.core.spi.multiview.MultiViewElementCallback; import org.openide.awt.UndoRedo; import org.openide.loaders.DataObject; import org.openide.util.Lookup; import org.openide.util.NbBundle; import org.openide.windows.TopComponent; @MultiViewElement.Registration(displayName = "#LBL_Visualizer", iconBase = "org/java/vis/icon.gif", mimeType = "text/x-java", persistenceType = TopComponent.PERSISTENCE_NEVER, preferredID = "JavaVisualizer", position = 3000) @NbBundle.Messages({     "LBL_Visualizer=Visualizer" }) public class JavaVisualizer extends JPanel implements MultiViewElement {     private JToolBar toolbar = new JToolBar();     private DataObject obj;     private MultiViewElementCallback mvec;     public JavaVisualizer(Lookup lkp) {         obj = lkp.lookup(DataObject.class);         assert obj != null;     }     @Override     public JComponent getVisualRepresentation() {         return this;     }     @Override     public JComponent getToolbarRepresentation() {         return toolbar;     }     @Override     public Action[] getActions() {         return new Action[0];     }     @Override     public Lookup getLookup() {         return obj.getLookup();     }     @Override     public void componentOpened() {     }     @Override     public void componentClosed() {     }     @Override     public void componentShowing() {     }     @Override     public void componentHidden() {     }     @Override     public void componentActivated() {     }     @Override     public void componentDeactivated() {     }     @Override     public UndoRedo getUndoRedo() {         return UndoRedo.NONE;     }     @Override     public void setMultiViewCallback(MultiViewElementCallback mvec) {         this.mvec = mvec;     }     @Override     public CloseOperationState canCloseElement() {         return CloseOperationState.STATE_OK;     } } It's a fair amount of code, but mostly pretty self-explanatory. The loosely coupled tabs are applicable to all NetBeans editors, not just the Java editor, which is why the "History" tab is now available to all editors throughout NetBeans IDE. In the next blog entry, you'll see the integration of the Visual Library into the panel I embedded in the Java editor.

  • How-to read data from selected tree node

To customize the selection behavior, or just to read the selected node value in Java, you override the default configuration with an EL string pointing to a managed bean method property. In the following I show how you change the selection listener while preserving the default ADF selection behavior. To change the SelectionListener, select the tree component in the Structure Window and open the Oracle JDeveloper Property Inspector. From the context menu, select the Edit option to create a new listener method in a new or an existing managed bean. • How can I get my ATI / AMD drivers to work with any kernel above 3.2.0.x?

    - by TorakTu
    How can I get my ATI / AMD drivers to work with any kernel above 3.2.0.x ? WHAT DID WORK Installed original AMD64 version of Ubuntu 12.04 ISO image. Burned DVD and installed which shown kernel 3.2.0-23 to begin with. Got 5.1 surround sound working. Got ATI ( Now its AMD ) video drivers installed for my Radeon HD R6870 Video card from AMD's website. fglrxinfo came up and reported as normal. THE PROBLEM Kernel 3.2.0.x kept locking up so I tried higher kernel versions. But ATI / AMD Drivers do not install on any kernel Above 3.2.0.x WHAT I HAVE TRIED I have gone over this tutorial many times ( https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/ATI ) and it doesn't work on ANY kernel except 3.2.0.x. The problems I am having here are that the ATI / AMD drivers working for the 12.04 Precise with kernel 3.2.0-23 and 24, But the computer kept locking up. Although all my games would work, the lock ups were random and were constant. So I looked all over the web for 3 days trying to find an answer and the lock up issue was said to just update the kernel. So I did. Have tried many kernels. All of them .. no lock ups. BUT the Restricted AMD drivers from the AMD website will not install. And none of the OpenSource AMD drivers have EVER installed no matter what Kernel or version I tried. EXAMPLE OUTPUT OF 3D TYPE OF ERRORS Javax.media.opengl.GLException: glXGetConfig failed: error code GLX_NO_EXTENSION at com.sun.opengl.impl.x11.X11GLDrawableFactory.glXGetConfig(X11GLDrawableFactory.java:651) at com.sun.opengl.impl.x11.X11GLDrawableFactory.xvi2GLCapabilities(X11GLDrawableFactory.java:350) at com.sun.opengl.impl.x11.X11GLDrawableFactory.chooseGraphicsConfiguration(X11GLDrawableFactory.java:174) at javax.media.opengl.GLCanvas.chooseGraphicsConfiguration(GLCanvas.java:520) at javax.media.opengl.GLCanvas.<init>(GLCanvas.java:131) at haven.HavenPanel.<init>(HavenPanel.java:68) at haven.HavenPanel.<init>(HavenPanel.java:78) at haven.MainFrame.<init>(MainFrame.java:182) at haven.MainFrame.main2(MainFrame.java:306) at haven.MainFrame.access$100(MainFrame.java:34) at haven.MainFrame$7.run(MainFrame.java:360) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:722) And of course this is what fglrxinfo shows : X Error of failed request: BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation) Major opcode of failed request: 139 (ATIFGLEXTENSION) Minor opcode of failed request: 66 () Serial number of failed request: 13 Current serial number in output stream: 13 EDIT : I forgot to mention that I DID look at this post over the last few days and it did not help.

  • Showing an Action on a TopComponent Node

    - by Geertjan
    Let's say you want to extend the tools in NetBeans IDE, specifically for TopComponents. When the user right-clicks in the Projects window (or Files window or Favorites window) on a Java class that extends TopComponent, a menu item should be available for branding the TopComponent. What "branding" entails is, at this stage, a secondary question. The primary question, from an implementation point of view, is "how do I create an action that is only shown when the user right-clicks on a TopComponent?" Here's the solution, in NetBeans IDE 7.2 (the "lazy" attribute, here set to false, is new in 7.2): import com.sun.source.tree.ClassTree; import com.sun.source.util.TreePathScanner; import java.awt.event.ActionEvent; import java.io.IOException; import javax.lang.model.element.Element; import javax.lang.model.element.TypeElement; import javax.swing.AbstractAction; import javax.swing.Action; import javax.swing.JOptionPane; import org.netbeans.api.java.source.CompilationController; import org.netbeans.api.java.source.CompilationInfo; import org.netbeans.api.java.source.JavaSource; import org.netbeans.api.java.source.JavaSource.Phase; import org.netbeans.api.java.source.Task; import org.openide.awt.ActionID; import org.openide.awt.ActionReference; import org.openide.awt.ActionReferences; import org.openide.awt.ActionRegistration; import org.openide.awt.DynamicMenuContent; import org.openide.loaders.DataObject; import org.openide.util.ContextAwareAction; import org.openide.util.Exceptions; import org.openide.util.Lookup; import org.openide.util.NbBundle.Messages; import org.openide.util.Utilities; @ActionID(     category = "Tools", id = "org.tc.customizer.BrandTopComponentAction") @ActionRegistration(     displayName = "#CTL_BrandTopComponentAction",     lazy = false) @ActionReferences({     @ActionReference(path = "Loaders/text/x-java/Actions", position = 150) }) @Messages("CTL_BrandTopComponentAction=Brand") public final class BrandTopComponentAction extends AbstractAction implements ContextAwareAction {     private final DataObject dobj;     public BrandTopComponentAction() {         this(Utilities.actionsGlobalContext());     }     public BrandTopComponentAction(Lookup context) {         super(Bundle.CTL_BrandTopComponentAction());         this.dobj = context.lookup(DataObject.class);         //Enable the menu item only if we're dealing with a TopComponent         JavaSource javaSource = JavaSource.forFileObject(dobj.getPrimaryFile());         try {             javaSource.runUserActionTask(new ScanForTopComponentTask(this), true);         } catch (IOException ex) {             Exceptions.printStackTrace(ex);         }         //Hide the menu item if it isn't enabled:         putValue(DynamicMenuContent.HIDE_WHEN_DISABLED, true);     }     @Override     public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ev) {         JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Hurray, I am a TopComponent!");         //Now add your code for showing a dialog,         //where the dialog will display UI for branding the TopComponent somehow         //and retrieve those branding values         //and then change the TopComponent class accordingly.     }     @Override     public Action createContextAwareInstance(Lookup actionContext) {         return new BrandTopComponentAction(actionContext);     }     private static class ScanForTopComponentTask implements Task<CompilationController> {         private final BrandTopComponentAction action;         private ScanForTopComponentTask(BrandTopComponentAction action) {             this.action = action;         }         @Override         public void run(CompilationController compilationController) throws Exception {             compilationController.toPhase(Phase.ELEMENTS_RESOLVED);             new MemberVisitor(compilationController, action).scan(                     compilationController.getCompilationUnit(), null);         }     }     private static class MemberVisitor extends TreePathScanner<Void, Void> {         private CompilationInfo info;         private final AbstractAction action;         public MemberVisitor(CompilationInfo info, AbstractAction action) {             this.info = info;             this.action = action;         }         @Override         public Void visitClass(ClassTree t, Void v) {             Element el = info.getTrees().getElement(getCurrentPath());             if (el != null) {                 TypeElement te = (TypeElement) el;                 if (te.getSuperclass().toString().equals("org.openide.windows.TopComponent")){                     action.setEnabled(true);                 } else {                     action.setEnabled(false);                 }             }             return null;         }     } } The code above is the result of combining various tutorials found on the NetBeans Platform Learning Trail.
