  • Dynamics AX 2009 - Modify insert into smmActivities from ProjTableWizard?

    I am an AX newbie, and I need to make a modification to the ProjTableWizard form code and have not been able to locate where I need to make the change. Essentially what I need to do is modify the part of the Wizard process when creating a sub-project. I need to figure out how a line is inserted into the smmActivities table, so that I can modify the “Activity Purpose” field (prefix it with the Activity Purpose of its parent Project from the ProjTable Form) following the “Finish” button click on the ProjTableWizard form. So far I have been unable to figure out how the ProjTableWizard form is triggering this insert into smmActivities (and how the Purpose field is being populated from the Wizard). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

  • MS Access MSChart.Graph.8 not printing

    Software: Microsoft Access 2007 SP2 Database File Version: Access 2000 I have an access program that I inherited from a previous employee. It uses forms for reports and since I don't have much experience in access I have continued to do this. I have created a copy of the program for another project and modified it to suit. I am having trouble getting more then one chart to print. All the charts display in form view, they all have the same properties (excepting data, position, etc.) For some reason they are not printing. They don't even show up in the print preview. I am thinking it must be something with the graphs themselves as they sometimes lose all information. I have to open the graphs in edit mode and change the data source from column to row and back again so that it gets redrawn. (Refresh doesn't fix it) So right now I don't even have a clue as to where to look so ideas are welcome. Edit #1 It seems to be a problem with linking to an unbound form. Subform Field Linker: Can't build a link between unbound forms. The graph will print if I remove the links, but then I have all the data from chart query as it is not limited by ixTest. edit #2 It seems to be a data retrieval/rendering issue in printing. Is there anything in printing that changes the context of records with respect to parent/child relationships?

  • CakePHP: How do I order results based on a 2-level deep association model?

    I'm hoping I won't need to resort to custom queries. A related question would be: how do I retrieve data so that if an associated model is empty, no record is retrieved at all, as opposed to an empty array for an associated model? As an oversimplified example, say I have the following models: City -- Street -- House How do I sort City results by House numbers? How do I retrieve City restuls that have at least one House in it? I don't want a record with a city name and details and an empty House array as it messes up pagination results. CakePHP retrieves House records belonging to the Street in a separate query, so putting somthing like 'House.number DESC' into the 'order' field of the search query returns a 'field does not exist' error. Any ideas?

  • cleaned_data() doesn't have some of the entered data

    I have a simple form for a user to enter in Name (CharField), Age(IntegerField), and Sex(ChoiceField). However the data that is taken from the Sex choice field is not showing up in my cleaned_data(). Using a debugger, I can clearly see that the data is being received in the correct format but as soon as I do form.cleaned_data() all sign of my choice field data is gone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     Hi, I am trying to validate the format of non-negative integers with the following validates_format_of :fundays, :with => /\A[\d]+\Z/, :message => "invalid fundays" And here is the form field used in the view <%= f.text_field :fundays, :maxlength => 3, :style => 'width:50px;' %> However, when I input a non-digit into this field and submit the form, it does not fail the validation. Instead it saves a value of 0 in the database. How do I make it write to the list of error messages. thanks

My script adds the input fields on click on the button , using var ix = 1; $(template2(ix++)).appendTo("#dataTable tbody"); var template2 = jQuery.format($("#template2").val()); I also add this , line after the insertion of the new fields, so it adds the typeWatch to all the .email class fields. $(".email").typeWatch( { highlight:true, callback:function(){alert("changed search text"); }, wait:750 } ); now, in the callback function , I want to get the Id of the input field typeWatch Callback is triggered.   • NHibernate - is property lazy loading possible?

    I've got some binary data that I store and was going to separate this out into a separate table so it could be lazy loaded. However, i then came across this post by Ayende (http://ayende.com/Blog/archive/2010/01/27/nhibernate-new-feature-lazy-properties.aspx) which suggests that property lazy loading is now possible. I have added the lazy="true" attribute to my property mapping but the field is still loaded from the database (I am using a simple text field to test). My query: return _session.CreateQuery("from Product") .SetMaxResults(1) .UniqueResult<Product>(); Mapping: <property name="Description" type="string" column="FullDescription" lazy="true"/> Has anyone been able to get this working? Personally I prefer this approach than having to add another table to my database.

    A little left field, but I'm trying to train a speech recognition program and the guidelines suggest that I attempt to speak clearly but naturally. I notice, however, that when one speaks naturally each word tends to drift into the next, resulting in a rather ambiguous boundary between the words. One the one hand, speaking in a more stilted manner would seem to aid the computer in recognising the phonemes, but on the other it would tend to make it less likely to understand more natural speech. Anyone knowledgeable in the field out there who can suggest which of the two approaches is more effective? Thanks

  • Best way to implement refusing a value change by the user in Swing?

    I have a JCheckBox that should not be checked by the user when a certain other field is empty. So now I want to have an error popup and then reset the checkbox (I've considered disabling the checkbox, but the connection to the other field is non-obvious, and a tooltip text IMO not visible enough). What's the correct way to do that in Swing? Through a PropertyVetoException? Where do I throw it and where do I catch it? My first (probably ugly) idea would be to add a ChangeListener that itself shows the popup and resets the value.

    Hello, I'm trying to bend views and drupal to my will. So far I've produced a view to display the titles of my nodes. Each node will be assigned exactly one taxonomy term from the set {X, Y and Z}. So for example, Node A has a title "Car drives into field, thousands don't care". Node A has a taxonomy term "Pointless". I'd like to group all the node titles by their taxonomy term. So.. Pointless - Car drives into field, thousands don't care - .... Next Taxonomy Term - ..... - ...... - ... You get the idea. Is it doable and how do I do it? I can't find the group by option in views. cheers SO.

    I have a Django form that uses an integer field to lookup a model object by its primary key. The form has a save() method that uses the model object referred to by the integer field. The model's manager's get() method is called twice, once in the clean method and once in the save() method: class MyForm(forms.Form): id_a = fields.IntegerField() def clean_id_a(user_id): id_a = self.cleaned_data['id_a'] try: # here is the first call to get MyModel.objects.get(id=id_a) except User.DoesNotExist: raise ValidationError('Object does not exist') def save(self): id_a = self.cleaned_data['id_a'] # here is the second call to get my_model_object = MyModel.objects.get(id=id_a) # do other stuff I wasn't sure whether this hits the database two times or one time so I returned the object itself in the clean method so that I could avoid a second get() call. Does calling get() hit the database two times?     Hello i have a products table that contains normal products and configurable product It has a basic stucture of: id name price configurable ('yes', 'no') id_configuration Normal products have configurable no and 0 as id configuration, and configurable products have it set to yes and have the same id_configuration value. The current query is: SELECT `products`.* FROM `products`, `categories`, `product_categories` WHERE `categories`.`id` = 23 AND `products`.`id` = `product_categories`.`id_product` AND `categories`.`id` = `product_categories`.`id_category` AND `products`.`active` = 'yes' AND ORDER BY `pos_new` ASC, `created` DESC LIMIT 0,20 I was wondering if there is a way to group by id_configuration, but only for the configurable products. The reason is that i want only one of the configuration products to show in search. I was thinking i could do a join, but was wondering if there is a way to do some kind of special group by. For example for configurable yes the field should be id_configuration otherwise it should be the id field Thanks a lot for any sugestions

    AFAIK SQL defines two uses of DISTINCT keywords - SELECT DISTINCT field... and SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT field) ... However in one of web applications that I administer I've noticed performance issues on queries like SELECT DISTINCT(field1), field2, field3 ... DISTINCT() on a single column makes no sense and I am almost sure it is interpreted as SELECT DISTINCT field1, field2, field3 ... but how can I prove this? I've searched mysql site for a reference on this particular syntax but could not find any. Does anyone have a link to definition of DISTINCT() in mysql or knows about other authoritative source on this? Best

    Let's say I have a table that has a varchar field. If I do an insert like this: INSERT MyTable SELECT N'the string goes here' Is there any fundamental difference between that and: INSERT MyTable SELECT 'the string goes here' My understanding was that you'd only have a problem if the string contained a Unicode character and the target column wasn't unicode. Other than that, SQL deals with it just fine and converts the string with the N'' into a varchar field (basically ignores the N). I was under the impression that N in front of strings was a good practice, but I'm unable to find any discussion of it that I'd consider definitive. Title may need improvement, feel free.

    Hi, I've a database who contain some datas in that form: icon(name, size, tag) (myicon.png, 16, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 32, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 128, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 256, 'twitter') (anothericon.png, 32, 'facebook') (anothericon.png, 128, 'facebook') (anothericon.png, 256, 'facebook') So as you see it, the name field is not uniq I can have multiple icons with the same name and they are separated with the size field. Now in PHP I have a query that get ONE icon set, for example : mysql_query("SELECT * FROM icon WHERE tag='".$tag."' ORDER BY size LIMIT 0, 10"); With this example if $tag contain 'twitter' it will show ONLY the first SQL data entry with the tag 'twitter', so it will be : (myicon.png, 16, 'twitter') This is what I want, but I would prefer the '128' size by default. Is this possible to tell SQL to send me only the 128 size when existing and if not another size ? Thanks !

    I have developed an export file from our Job Management system that I want to be able to import into MYOB Accounting Plus v18.5. The file is generated without issue and I have included every single field to make it easy for upload (i.e. Match All matches every field) The problem I am having is no matter what I do, I cannot get the sales to import... Every time, no matter what I do or how I create the customer card comes back with: Error -190: Customer not found. Sale invoice not imported. I have tried matching using - co./Last Name, Card ID & Record ID and every time I get the same error. I have created a single customer with a simply Co./Last Name, Card ID & Record ID and still, when I try to import using these same fields exactly matched, I get the same error...

    We receive lots of data as flat files: delimitted or just fixed length records. It's sometimes hard to find out what the files actually contain. Are there any well established practices for embedding the schema of the file to the beginning or the end of a file to make the file self-explanatory? Just to get an idea, imagine something like this: <data name=test records=2 type=fixed> <field name=foo start=0 length=2 type=numeric> <field name=bar start=2 length=4 type=text> </data> 11test 12ing We would parse the xml in the beginning and use it for reading the records.

  • Ruby on Rails: attr_accessor for submodels

    I'm working with some models where a lot of a given model's key attributes are actually stored in a submodel. Example: class WikiArticle has_many :revisions has_one :current_revision, :class_name => "Revision", :order => "created_at DESC" end class Revision has_one :wiki_article end The Revision class has a ton of database fields, and the WikiArticle has very few. However, I often have to access a Revision's fields from the context of a WikiArticle. The most important case of this is probably on creating an article. I've been doing that with lots of methods that look like this, one for each field: def description if @description @description elsif current_revision current_revision.description else "" end end def description=(string) @description = string end And then on my save, I save @description into a new revision. This whole thing reminds me a lot of attr_accessor, only it doesn't seem like I can get attr_accessor to do what I need. How can I define an attr_submodel_accessor such that I could just give field names and have it automatically create all those methods the way attr_accessor does?

We have to keep track of any changes occurs in the database, in others words all previous & current values of any field should be saved. Each field can be any type (bytea, int, char...) With a simple table it is easy but we a graph of objects things are more difficult. So we have, speaking in a UML point of view, a graph of objects to store in the database with every changes & the user. Any idea or pattern how to do that?
