  • Scroll an input box to the cursor position in javascript

    I've written a simple JS function that places the cursor at the end of the contents of an input box when it receives focus (the most common action in the box being to append). I haven't checked in IE, but when there is more text than is visible, even moving the cursor to the end of input doesn't scroll the view to the end of input in firefox 3.6. Any idea how to do this? P.S. And no I'm not using JQuery, nor is it an option ;)

  • Best way to figure out why didReceiveMemoryWarning is always getting called on a UIViewController

    I have a UIViewController and I'm noticing that I've done something to where the didReceiveMemoryWarning method is getting called every time I run it on an actual device. I've run the project with Run Run With Performance Tool Object Allocations (and Leaks also). There are no leaks but I have no idea how to read or understand the "Object Allocations" data that is displayed. So ... How do I read this information and what is/are the best ways to figure out (and resolve) why this is happening? Thanks

  • Can you configure Spring-Security programmatically?

    I am working to configure Spring-Security with an existing application, for just basic security (i.e. what pages a user can see based on their roles). The question came up wondering if we could set what roles are required for each page in java instead of the ApplicationContext.xml. The idea is to store them in a table in our database, so we can easily change them with out a redeployment. Is this possible? How?

  • Move Physical Windows Server 2008 into a Hyper-V VM

    Hello, I'd like to import a real Windows Server 2008 server as a Hyper-V Virtual Server on another Windows Server 2008 instance. Anyone have any idea how to do this? I'm looking at the System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 but it doesn't seem to import Windows Server 2008 - nor is it free. Is there some other workaround (i.e. import the image into VMWare first, then convert to Hyper-V)? Please help. Regards, Randall

  • UITableView - Select nearest row after row deletion.

    like build in apple notes app, after you swipe to delete the selected row, it will select the nearest available row automatically. The logic should be: if row count 0 then if deleted_row == last row then select deleted_row_index-1 row else select deleted_row_index+1 row end end i have try to implement the above logic in the commitEditingStyle event, but the selection fail. the selectRowAtIndexPath logic just don't work in this event, if i apply it in a button, it works. any idea?

  • jQuery color change or CSS?

    I've tried achieving a hover/selected color change for a particular field, but I'm thinking jQuery is the answer. I've looked into some button click tutorials, but maybe I'm not just seeing it or doing it correctly. The idea here is that when a user hovers over a Headline, the background color changes, when they click the headline to expand it, the background color remains constant (selected), however as it stands right now the background color of the expanded fields do not change.     Hi, How can I get the height of the device for portrait mode? I have to create a bitmap (which is zoomable) and I just want to get a rough idea what the tallest height should be. getResources().getDisplayMetrics().heightPixels; does the above return the height, in portrait mode only? I'm not binding my UI to this absolute value, it's just a rough fit, Thanks

    I need to access the MSP and PSP registers (the main and process stack registers) of the Cortex-M3 processor. I'm writing in C/C++. The µVision and associated compiler doesn't let you do inline assembly for this Thumb-2 only core (and I'm not sure that'd be such a good idea anyway).     Recently Google introduced an SDK for application usage tracking on mobile devices (Google Analytics for Mobile Apps). Unfortunately, it seems that it only supports IPhone and Android devices. Do you have any idea if this framework can somehow be used from Windows Mobile / Compact Framework applications or if Google is planning to release an SDK for WM? BTW, I don't mean a WM application for browsing through GA server reports, but an SDK for tracking your mobile app's usage.

  • Plone site files owner

    Hello everybody, I accidentally changed owner of all files on my plone site to plone, and I don't know how to fix this without reinstalling site, which won't be acceptable. I have backup version which keeps default owners but it's changed in the meanwhile on the dafault site. Maybe rsync can sync only ownerships between these copies??? Any idea would be precious.
