    PHP is just awful but atm the only cheap server technology available. If you want free hosting you are stuck with php. If you want cheap hosting too. Windows hosting is like 3x the pice. It's amazing how much effort people put into executing a task in php while they could this 10 times faster and better with a real language/server platform (asp.net). Just my 2 cents.

The plug-in adds the following menu: I want to remove several items from this menu and I would also like to add some button from it to a toolbar.     Is it possible to create a small program that will run, without recompiling and without emulators, on both Windows CE 6 AND Windows XP SP3? From my knowledge, this isn't possible. Source code needs to be recompiled for the target platform. However, a hardware manufacturer for embedded boards is claiming otherwise. The application isn't anything complex, just a simple benchmarking tool analysing floating point operations, CPU ticks etc, and displaying the results on a plain GUI.

Compiler is g++, platform is linux x86-64, linker is gfortran C++ code is compiled with -fno- omit-frame-pointer. oprofile is started with --callgraph=25. report I run with --callgraph. the call graph is produced but it's only includes self time, which is not much use what am I missing?

  • In Ruby, how does one get their IP octet without going through DNS?

    I can, on some of my systems, get my IP address (192.68.m.n format) by doing this: addr = IPSocket::getAddress(Socket.gethostname()) ...the trouble is that this only works if the name the local machine uses for itself is the name the DNS server associates with it. How *&#( hard can it be for ruby to just return its primary interface's IP address? I have to do this in a platform-independant way or I'd just call ifconfig or ipconfig and parse it.

  • Can't Get ANT build to work in eclipse

    Long story short: I want to add the --core-library flag at compile time to include a library that depends on some javax libraries that aren't included in the android platform. I have attempted the walkthrough here: http://commons.apache.org/scxml/usecases/scxml-stopwatch-on-android.html but nothing ever changed on the emulator. I don't think I can repackage the libraries I'm after because I cannot amend the callers to call the new packages without violating a license agreement. Please, someone, point me in the right direction.

    Is it ok to use the Webkit Javascript engine to implement cross-platform, non-GUI backend functionality on the iPhone, iPad? In my case, I was interested in re-using Javascript code that I have that works on top of SQLite. I thought I would need to re-implement the logic in Obj-C but perhaps I could just share it and expose some hooks into Obj-C using JSCocoa or straight through JavaScript core. Is this legal per Apple guidelines?

    Coding Platform: ASP.NET 4.0 I am binding a GridView with LinqDataSource with AutoDelete functionality enabled. GridView is bound to the Products Table. I have a Products Table and a Category Table with an association on CategoryID. If I try to delete a Category that is referred in the Products Table I cannot do that.
