  Hi All, I have a requirment where I want to upload a document based on category and subcategory. I have added this columns as an lookup column which pulls data from category and subcategory list. Now want the document should be passed from series of approval so I have attached SharePoint out of the box Approval workflow to this document library. Now I want to create a content type which contains these two lookup column and approval workflow. So that I can user these setting for rest of the document library. • Best Design pattern for social media file transfer

  Our system would like our clients to link their accounts with different social media sites like youtube, vimeo, facebook, myspace and so on. One of the benefits we would like to give to the user is to transfer, update and delete files they have uploaded to our sites and transfer them to the social media sites mentioned above. this files could be videos, images or audio. We started thinking about using a strategy pattern, as all of these sites share a common process ( authentication, connection, use the API to transfer/edit/delete the file ), but we soon realized that it may not work as me may want to use some of the extended functionality that is specific to each service (eg: associate a youtube video with a channel, or upload images to a specific album on facebook, and much, much more...) My question is, what would be the best Structural Design Patter to use for this scenario?

• How can I stop sorl thumbnail from breaking with very long filenames?

  I've noticed that when working with SORL thumbnail, sometimes a user will upload an image with a very long filename, longer than the varfield in the database can hold. The name gets truncated in the database and the project gives errors whenever the image is requested. Is there a smart and safe way to have django automatically truncate long filenames in sorl uploads (prior to saving them in the database) to prevent this sort of thing? • Flex Client application - HTTPRequest problem in the initialize function.

  Hello all. I have a serious problem in my flex client applications. I have an apache server with php web services. the flex client makes an httpservice requests. I noticed that the httpservice requests that runs from the creationComplete event of the application does not always get data from the server. but HTTPservice requests called from user actions always work. • App submitted to Amazon AppStore is both "Status: Incomplete" and "Cannot edit application while in review"

  Yesterday I submitted my application to the Amazon AppStore. I did not upload a video, because I haven't made one and it seemed optional, because I was able to submit the app without one. Today I checked the app's status, it says "Status: Incomplete (Missing Multimedia)" with a link to the multimedia section whose video field says "Video < none uploaded ". So I made a video, but I can not add it because it says "Cannot edit application while in review." I used the "Feeback" link to send a message to Amazon, I might even get a reply, but do anyone already know a solution to this problem?

• T-Sql SPROC - Parse C# Datatable to XML in Database (SQL Server 2005)

  Scenario I've got an application written in C# that needs to dump some data every minute to a database. Because its not me that has written the spec, I have been told to store the data as XML in the SQL Server database and NOT TO USE the "bulk upload" feature. Essentially I just wanted to have a single stored procedure that would take XML (that I would produce from my datatable) and insert it into the database.....and do this every minute. Current Situation I've heard about the use of "Sp_xml_preparedocument" but I'm struggling to understand most of the examples that I've seen (My XML is far narrower than my C Sharp ability). Question I would really appreciate someone either pointing me in the direction of a worthwhile tutorial or helping explain things. EDIT - Using (SQL Server 2005)

• Deleting YouTube videos using Zend/PHP

  Hello, I'm using Zend and PHP to upload and delete videos from my home page. The uploading part is working fine but to download is more complicated. $videoEntryToDelete = $yt->getVideoEntry($videoId); $yt->delete($videoEntryToDelete); I use this code to delete a video and the first row do work. The video object is created and I can get all data from it. But when I try to delete it I get this error message: "You must specify an URI to which to post" Do anyone know how to solve this problem? • Download Drools RuleFlow files from Guvnor

  Hello all, I can upload RuleFlow (.rf) files to Guvnor (both 5.1 M1 and 5.0) and execute them with rules on the server. If I want to use Guvnor as a repository, is there any way I can download the RuleFlow files into my project on the fly? On the package level, Guvnor provides some "Information and Important URLs" which only talk about rules. I was wondering if there is any other URL which will give me the RuleFlow files? Is WebDav my only other option? Thanks in adavance.

• Design a GUI browser to view a tree

  I have a large tree. I want to be able to visualize it using a GUI tool. I want the ability to pan and zoom the tree image so that i can focus on part of the tree. Is there an existing tool to achieve this? If not i would like to write a small tool for myself to be able to do this. what is the simplest way of doing this? what computer language should i use? the image should look something like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/df/Binary_tree.png I should be able to zoom and pan the image.

  I've created a software that I want to be able to market. I'd like to be able to post it on forums etc and for that I need a home page. Is there any open source C# project home pages that you can use? The functionality I'm looking for is like adding new versions (perhaps a version control from the software), downloading and user guides. So what I want is pretty basic: I want to be able to upload and let the users download. I've written this on my own as well but I guess that if there are open source projects that have done this they're probably better. This can't be such a rare problem so please lead me to some resources so that I can create my page and publish my software! :)

• UITextFields losing values after UINavigationController activity

  This is going to be hard to demonstrate in code, but maybe you can picture it with me. I have a view that contains two UITextFields, "title" and "descr". That same view contains two UIButtons that push another controller onto the navController to get more detail from the user about the object we're assembling and ultimately uploading to my server. It appears that pushing another view on, doing something, and popping it back off results in the two UITextFields keeping their content VISUALLY, but the .text property of those fields becomes NULL. I've confirmed that if I do my two push-pop fields before filling in those UITextFields, I get my data when I upload, and if I do them in the opposite order, I don't. It LOOKS like there's data there, but I get nothing when I NSLog their .text properties. Is this normal? Do I need to just design around this? Or is this as weird as it seems, and I should be looking deeper at causes of this?

• FTP in NetBeans 6.1

  Is there an FTP browser hiding away in NetBeans 6.1? The help manual doesn't even suggest FTP exists. All I've been able to find so far is a tree viewer in the Services panel (no edit controls) and the ability to upload projects, folders and specific files from the Projects/Files views. Is there anywhere to delete or rename or will I have to keep switching back to my browser? I can see from the previews that there's a nice FTP controller in 6.5 but I'm not desperate enough to completely convert to a beta (yet).

• Joomla 1.5 Media Manager sets incorrect file permissions when uploading

  Howdy all, I have a Joomla 1.5 installation running on Windows Server 2008, installed via the Web Platform Installer. When uploading images with the media manager (native uploader, not the flash bulk uploader), the files arrive on the server correctly, but are given incorrect permissions. Specifically, the IIS_IUSRS group is not given access to the file. I might be incorrect about what group/user is SUPPOSED to get access to the files, but so far, I've found that unless I give IIS_IUSRS access to the uploaded files, they won't appear on the site or in the media manager (appear as broken images). Once I give IIS_IUSRS permission to the files, they work fine. So far, all the research I've done has led me to linux specific fixes that involve either changing the umask on the server, or directly modifying the Joomla codebase to add an appropriate chmod command to the upload process, but I really don't want to modify Joomla directly. I have to believe there's a setting here somewhere that will do the job, either on the Joomla or Windows side of the equation. Any thoughts? Scott

  In my app users can upload files for other users. To make the uploaded files accesible only for the addresse I need some kind of static files authentication system. My idea, is to create the apache hosted directory for each user and to limit access to this derectory using .htaccess. This means that each time new django user is created, I need to create a directory and the appropriate .htaccess file in it. I know I should do it using post_save signals on User model but I don't know how to create the .htaccess in the user's directory from python level. Can you help me with that? Or perhaps you have better solution to my problem?

• Should I Return "500" or "404" if a Requested Image is not Found?

  I work with code written by other people, occasionally I am left somewhat confused and at these times Stack Overflow saves me. Please, save me again. Our site allows people to upload images and later embed them within text in our site like so: <img src="http://site.com/image_script.php?p=some_image_identifier"/> My question is: If the identifier, "p", does not lead us to an image should the server return "500" or "404"? I would have thought it should be "404", but that's not what is happening right now.

• paperclip callbacks or simple processor?

  I wanted to run the callback after_post_process but it doesn't seem to work in Rails 3.0.1 using Paperclip 2.3.8. It gives an error: undefined method `_post_process_callbacks' for #<Class:0x102d55ea0> I want to call the Panda API after the file has been uploaded. I would have created my own processor for this, but as Panda handles the processing, and it can upload the files as well, and queue itself for an undetermined duration I thought a callback would do fine. But the callbacks don't seem to work in Rails3. after_post_process :panda_create def panda_create video = Panda::Video.create(:source_url => mp3.url.gsub(/[?]\d*/,''), :profiles => "f4475446032025d7216226ad8987f8e9", :path_format => "blah/1234") end I tried require and include for paperclip in my model but it didn't seem to matter. • replace tiny mce with ckeditor in joomla

  hi I have a joomla project. In this the text editor is tiny mace. But there is no option to upload a pdf file. So I want to implement Ck editor or fck editor instead of tiny mce. I have downloaded ck editor and install as usual way (admin side -extension-install- uninstall section) and disabled the tiny mce in Plugin Manager.   Hi there, I am using Amazon S3 to back up my Rails app's mysql database. And I am using astrails-safe plugin to do that and I got the "Your previous request to create the named bucket succeeded and you already own it. (AWS::S3::BucketAlreadyOwnedByYou)" error back whenever I try to update it. I have checked that the folder in which I am going to back up is there in my account already. It's just that I can't upload the files from the code (using astrails-safe). Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
