I am using this code to delete all records in the Contacts table For Each contact In database.Contacts database.Contacts.DeleteOnSubmit(contact) Next But I get this error Can't perform Create, Update or Delete operations on 'Table(Contact)' because it has no primary key.     Visual Studio 2010 adds a new feature to improve loading speed of references in "Add .NET Reference" tab. For example, when the target framework of project is 3.5, it displays only 3.5 assemblies in the list, and says "Filtered to: .NET Framework 3.5". This feature is quite annoying, as it makes impossible to find an older assembly, unless you change a target framework in compilation options. Is there any option to disable that filtering?

  • Processor affinity settings for Linux kernel modules?

    In Windows, I can set the processor affinity of driver code using KeSetSystemAffinityThread, and check which processor my code is running on using KeGetCurrentProcessorNumber. I'm trying to do something similar in a Linux kernel module, but the only affinity calls I can see are for userland processes. Is there any way to do this, so that I can run assembly code on a specific processor? (i.e. sgdt)

  • Complex relationship between tables in NHibernate

    Hi all, I'm writing a Fluent NHibernate mapping for a legacy Oracle database. The challenge is that the tables have composite primary keys. If I were at total freedom, I would redesign the relationships and auto-generate primary keys, but other applications must write to the same database and read from it, so I cannot do it. These are the two tables I'll focus on: Example data Trips table: 1, 10:00, 11:00 ... 1, 12:00, 15:00 ... 1, 16:00, 19:00 ... 2, 12:00, 13:00 ... 3, 9:00, 18:00 ... Faults table: 1, 13:00 ... 1, 23:00 ... 2, 12:30 ... In this case, vehicle 1 made three trips and has two faults. The first fault happened during the second trip, and the second fault happened while the vehicle was resting. Vehicle 2 had one trip, during which a fault happened. Constraints Trips of the same vehicle never overlap. So the tables have an optional one-to-many relationship, because every fault either happens during a trip or it doesn't. If I wanted to join them in SQL, I would write: select ... from Faults left outer join Trips on Faults.VehicleId = Trips.VehicleId and Faults.FaultTime between Trips.TripStartTime and Trips.TripEndTime and then I'd get a dataset where every fault appears exactly once (one-to-many as I said). Note that there is no Vehicles table, and I don't need one. But I did create a view that contains all VehicleIds from both tables, so I can use it as a junction table. What am I actually looking for? The tables are huge because they cover years of data, and every time I only need to fetch a range of a few hours. So I need a mapping and a criteria that will run something like the following SQL underneath: select ... from Faults left outer join Trips on Faults.VehicleId = Trips.VehicleId and Faults.FaultTime between Trips.TripStartTime and Trips.TripEndTime where Faults.FaultTime between :p0 and :p1 Do you have any ideas how to achieve it? Note 1: Currently the application shouldn't write to the database, so persistence is not a must, although if the mapping supports persistence, it may help at some point in the future. Note 2: I know it's a tough one, so if you give me a great answer, you will be properly rewarded :) Thank you for reading this long question, and now I only hope for the best :)

    Hi everyone. I used the code provided by the NoteExample from the developers doc to create a database. Now I want to add a second table to store different data.   • Properly Establishing an ApplicationEndpoint in UCMA 3.0

    I've been struggling with getting an application endpoint working on UCMA 3.0. I am trying to run an application on a server separate from the Lync server which uses a registered ApplicationEndpoint to monitor presence and act as a bot which can send other users messages. I used to have my code working with a UserEndpoint (which was fine for monitoring presence), but did not have the capabilities to send IMs to other Lync users.     I want to add version info to my mobile device exe file and apparently the following line is not supported in CF (windows mobile 6.0), ideas?: <Assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("1.0.0.0")> I want to be able to to right-click on the .exe after it is copied over to the PC and have the version displayed in a version tab just like any other .exe. I would then be able to read this version in code from a VB6 program.

    EDIT: It seems that ListPicker is the way to go but I have had further problems with that detailed Microsoft.Phone.Controls.Toolkit ListPicker throws XamlParseException I have the following ComboBox in code: <ComboBox x:Name="Result" Grid.Column="6" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" Foreground="Black" Background="White"> <ComboBoxItem Content="Win" /> <ComboBoxItem Content="Place" /> <ComboBoxItem Content="Lose" /> </ComboBox> But it does not display as I would have expected. When you drop down the ComboBox the options don't appear, it's just like empty items. See below: However, when an item is selected, it displays correctly and the correct index/item is returned.     I'm trying to follow the log4j2 configuration tutorials in a SBT 0.12.1 project. The lack of TRACE messages seems to indicate that my log4j2.xml settings aren't on the classpath either. Why should there be any difference in classpath if I'm running Foo.main versus LoggerTest.main? Or is there something else causing this behavior? Update I used SBT Assembly to build a fat jar of this project and specified logtest.LoggerTest to be the main class.     when i do this static void Main() { Main(); } I receive stackoverflow exception. As i have read so far about C# they say ONLY local variable of value types (and short living ones) will go on stack. But here in the code there are no local variable to go on stack then what overflows it ? I know from assembly code line Perspective that reference to Main() will go on stack too ? Is that right ?
