• Copied Netbeans IDE Maven Web project failes to compile

  If I am going to make serious changes to my project I like to make a copy (right click project and select copy). I have created copies of my projects many times (maven web applications included) without issue. Now all I do is copy the project making no changes, leaving the copy settings on default (project name etc) and then try to run it and spring decides to take issue with it. Again I try running the original and it works. I deleted the faulty copy, restarted and tried again and still it does not work. Here are my maven/system details: Apache Maven 2.2.1 (rdebian-4) Java version: 1.6.0_20 Java home: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre Default locale: en_CA, platform encoding: UTF-8 OS name: "linux" • Why is Apache seg faulting?

  We have a production server that seems to Seg Fault a few times every day. The fault is picked up by Apache and logged in the error log - but there seems to be no traffic around the time. If it's a request generating the fault then it looks like it happens before any other logging is made so I can't see how it's happening so it's very hard to debug. • Use a subdirectory as root with htaccess in Apache 1.3

  I'm trying to deploy a site generated with Jekyll and would like to keep the site in its own subfolder on my server to keep everything more organized. Essentially, I'd like to use the contents of /jekyll as the root unless a file similarly named exists in the actual web root. So something like /jekyll/sample-page/ would show as http://www.example.com/sample-page/, while something like /other-folder/ would display as http://www.example.com/other-folder. My test server runs Apache 2.2 and the following .htaccess (adapted from http://gist.github.com/97822) works flawlessly: RewriteEngine On # Map http://www.example.com to /jekyll. Edit: After a ton of research into Apache 1.3, I've found that this problem is essentially a combination of two different issues listed at the Apache 1.3 URL Rewriting Guide. I have a (partially) moved DocumentRoot, which in theory would be taken care of with something like this: RewriteRule ^/$ /e/www/ [R] I also have the infamous "Trailing Slash Problem," which is solved by setting the RewriteBase (as was suggested in one of the responses below): RewriteBase /~quux/ RewriteRule ^foo$ foo/ [R] The problem is combining the two.   I am currently in the process of creating a mobile version of my web app. The app is being developed with Facebook's PHP Client Library. The issue: I am using the following mobile url to allow users to log in using the mobile devices: http://m.facebook.com/tos.php?api_key=APIKEY&v=1.0&next=http%3A%2F%2Ftweelay.net%2Fm.php&cancel=http%3A%2F%2Ftweelay.net%2Fm.php APIKEY being my app's actual Facebook API key. In the url I am telling Facebook to redirect the user back to http://tweelay.net/m.php when the user signs in or clicks cancel on the log in screen. I am pulling my hair trying to figure out why it keeps sending the user to http://m.tweelay.net/m.php which is currently an invalid end point. I have gone through all of my app's settings on Facebook and I cant find any that reference http://m.tweelay.net and going through all of my source code I cant find any that reference the m. sub-domain either.

I've tried fiddling with the opacity of the rect to no avail. There should be a way of doing this from the UI? • wcf callback exception after updating to .net 4.0

  I have a wcf service that uses callbacks with DualHttpBindings. The service pushes back a datatable of search results the client (for a long running search) as it finds them. This worked fine in .Net 3.5. Since I updated to .Net 4.0, it bombs out with a System.Runtime.FatalException that actually kills the IIS worker process. I have no idea how to even go about starting to fix this. Any recommendations appreciated. The info from the resulting event log is pasted below.   I want to match a root Element “FOO” and perform the transformation (add a version attribute) to it leaving the rest as it is.   Wordpress provides a function called "the_permalink()" that returns, you guessed it!, the permalink to a given post while in a loop of posts. • Whats happening to my HTML?

  I am making changes to my website, and I just noticed that things look different. In IE, the content doesnt center, theres a margin on my content, and the font looks bigger in chrome.. I ran it through Yahoo's HTML validator and the error I get is line 1 - Error: character "" not allowed in prolog. I believe that there may be some sort of whitespace being sent before the DOC TYPE, but I cant seem to fix it. The HTML looks fine in my text editor (Notepad++) so I dont know what the problem is. Im using a strict DOC Type. Everything was fine before I made any changes, but I cant pinpoint what caused the change. If it helps, I'm using a Framework (Kohana). My initial thought was that something was being sent to the browser by an echo or something, but I couldnt find any echo statements. I dont know what could be causing this... I have multiple subfolders (http://www.site.com/es and http://www.site.com/de) that each have a respective .htaccess file.   Hi All, If, as here at work, we have test, staging and production environments, such as: http://test.my-happy-work.com http://staging.my-happy-work.com http://www.my-happy-work.com I am writing some javascript that will redirect the browser to a url such as: http://[environment].my-happy-work.com/my-happy-video I need to be able to determine the current environment that we are in. There is the possibility that I will currently be at a url such as: http://[environment].my-happy-work.com/my-happy-path/my-happy-resource I want to be able to grab the window.location but strip it of everything but: http://[environment].my-happy-work.com And then append to that string + "/" + "my-happy-video". I am not skilled with regex, but I suppose there would be a way to parse the window.location up to the ".com" Thoughts? Thanks!

• Node.js vs PHP processing speed

  I've been looking into node.js recently and wanted to see a true comparison of processing speed for PHP vs Node.js. In most of the comparisons I had seen, Node trounced Apache/PHP set ups handily. However all of the tests were small 'hello worlds' that would not accurately reflect any webpage's markup. So I decided to create a basic HTML page with 10,000 hello world paragraph elements. In these tests Node with Cluster was beaten to a pulp by PHP on Nginx utilizing PHP-FPM. So I'm curious if I am misusing Node somehow or if Node is really just this bad at processing power. Note that my results were equivalent outputting "Hello world\n" with text/plain as the HTML, but I only included the HTML as it's closer to the use case I was investigating. I certainly think Node has a real niche that it could fit well, however with these test results (which I really hope I made a mistake with - as I like the idea of Node) lead me to believe that it is a horrible choice for even a modest processing load when compared to PHP (let alone JVM or various other fast solutions). As a final note, I also tried running an Apache Bench test against node with $ ab -n 20 -c 20 http://speedtest.dev/ and consistently received a total test time of greater than 0.900 seconds.

  I'm new to CodeIgniter and routing. I have a Login controller whose index() loads up a view to enter a username/password. In the view, the form has action="login/authenticate". Login-authenticate() determines if the login is valid or not. If it's valid, redirect('lobby'), if not redirect('login') routes.php: $route['default_controller'] = "login" config.php: $config['base_url'] = "http://localhost/dts/"; $config['index_page'] = "index.php"; The problem is that when i go to http://localhost/dts/ , click login, I am correctly (?) redirected to http://localhost/dts/login/authenticate but the browser says Object not found!. But when I go to http://localhost/dts/index.php/ (with trailing slash), it works correctly (I get redirected to http://localhost/dts/index.php/login/authenticate, and am logged in) I tried removing "index.php" by using a .htaccess: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|images|robots\.txt) RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php/$1 [L] and it would no longer open even the http://localhost/dts/ I'm confused.. what's going on?

• Deserializing classes from XML generated using XSD.exe

  I have classes generated (using xsd.exe) from an .xsd that I can serialize just fine, but when I try and deserialize it, I get the error: {"<XMLLanguages xmlns='http://tempuri.org/XMLLanguages.xsd'> was not expected."} I've searched for a couple of hours and found most peoples problems lie in not declaring namespaces in their xsd/xml, not defining namespaces in their classes, etc, but I can't find a solution for my problem. • Get the full URI from the href property of a link

  Hello SO, I would like to have a confirmation on some point. My goal is to always get the same string (which is the URI in my case) while reading the href property from a link. Example: <a href="test.htm" /> with base_url = http://domain.name/ <a href="../test.htm" /> with base_url = http://domain.name/domain/ <a href="http://domain.name/test.htm" /> with base_url = any folder from http://domain.name/ I need to get http://domain.name/test.htm from the 3 situations above (or any other identical string). After some tests, it appears that my_a_dom_node.href always return the full-qualified URI, including the http://domaine.name, which should be okay for what I want. jQuery has a different behaviour and $(my_a_dom_node).attr('href') returns the content (text) that appears inside the HTML. So my trick is to use $(my_a_dom_node).get(0).href to get the full URI. The question is: can I rely on this?

I think file_get_contents() is bringing back data that isn't XML, maybe some Javascript files judging by the iPhone parts in the errors. Is there any way to just get back the XML from that page? Without any HTML or anything? Thanks :)

• Is it possible to scan Entities in jar files using JPA and hibernate

  I have the following situation : Project A - Contains a few entities and is independent Project B - Contains a few entities and is independent Project C - Contains few entities and is dependent on Project A & Project B. I am using Maven to manage dependencies and builds. When I try to test Project A and project B it goes through fine. Each of them has a persistence.xml and a separate persistent context. When I run Project C , It does map any of the entities. I have tried to use the auto-detect, specified the jar file attribute ... but nothing seems to work. It gives me a Mapping Exception saying unknown entity and wont persist or read the Entities from Projects A or B. I have posted the 3 persistence.xml files here. Also, I tried using the class attribute and using the same persistent context but it just wont find the files. Any help is really appreciated. • Zend_Soap_Client doesn't work with proxy

  I'm accessing a SOAP web service like : $wsdl_url = 'http://abslive3.timesgroup.com:8888/clsRSchedule.soap?wsdl' ; $client = new Zend_Soap_Client($wsdl_url, array('proxy_host'=>"http://virtual-browser.25u.com" , 'proxy_port'=>80)); Since my shared server blocks port 8888, I'm using this proxy server. But Zend Soap Client tries to directly connect it.
