  • Can anyone explain UriMatcher (Android SDK)?

    I have been tasked with designing my web services client code to use the utility class UriMatcher in the Android SDK. Unfortunately, the example in the Dev Guide does not relate to anything in my mind. I know I am missing some fundamental points to the functionality and possibly about Uri itself. If you can tie it to some web APIs that are accessible with HTTP POST request, that would be ideal.

    Hello, I am looking for an SDK or API that I could utilize to simply grab a Bitmap or Byte[] from the fingerprint reader. Most of the SDKs out there do much more than this and require expensive licensing which I don't want. I will be integrating this into a .NET windows application. One requirement, it needs to work with a Futronics FS80 which is a very popular fingerprint reader. Any suggestions?

  • Xcode SDK version for testing & release?

    I am just putting the finishing touches to an iPhone app that I have written, signed up to the developer program and installed Xcode 3.2.2 (1650) My question is which version of the SDK should I be using to build my application? I was thinking I should be using the latest 3.2 but when I select that I can only access the iPad simulator ... Should I be using 3.1.3 which runs the iPhone simulator. (NB: I originally developed the app in 3.1.2 cheers gary

  • Android Facebook SDK : post message without showing facebook page

    I am trying to integrate Facebook to my Android app for social post. I have downloaded latest Facebook sdk from here and apply all setup require to post to facebook. Now i can post to facebook. But problem is that, when i run sample program from facebook sdk, a browser like page is open and user have to enter message himself there. but i dont want this page to showed up. i want a fixed message to post directly without opening facebook dialog box. But if there is noway to avoid this, please tell me how can i fixed certain part of message so that user can't modified it.     I'm trying to update and install the latest Android SDK (API 8) and keep getting the following error: Failed to fetch URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml, reason: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target I'm running on OS X 10.6.3 If I visit the url in a browser I'm not getting any errors about an untrusted cert.

Problem – The link to demo videos will disappear once you have watched the video Learning Visual Studio has become easier than ever with the Visual Studio How to Videos hosted inside of Visual Studio showing up in the context of the task you are trying to achieve. For instance when you click code review in team explorer you can see the link “Streaming Video: Using Code Review to improve quality” when you click this link the video stream is delivered to you right with in Visual Studio. Next time you run Visual Studio you will notice that the home page has a check mark in the video “Using Code Review to improve quality”. If you navigate to code review in the myWork hub in the team explorer, you will notice that the link “Streaming Video: Using Code Review to improve quality” does not show up any more.         2. Solution – How to get the Demo Videos link back Warning: Editing the registry can lead to serious problems if not done correctly.  Always backup your registry before editing. This solution is neither suggested nor supported by Microsoft. Type regedit on the run command prompt to open the Registry editor Navigate to the path Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11.0\UltimateStartPage\VideoState and notice the newly created folder “TeamExplorer.CodeReview”, notice the key Watched is set to 1.         Change the value of the key ‘Watched’ to 0 Restart Visual Studio and Navigate to Code Review in myWork hub and voila, the link to stream the video is back!            Watch and enjoy the Demo videos to your hearts content!
