  • URL Rewrite http to https EXCEPT files in a specific subfolder

    I am trying to force all traffic on my web site to use HTTPS, using the URL Rewrite 2.0 module added to IIS 7.5. I got that working and now have a need to exclude a couple of pages from using SSL. So I need a rule to rewrite all URL except those referencing this folder to HTTPS. I've been banging my head against the wall on this and am hoping someone can help. I tried creating a rule to match all URL except those in a nossl subfolder as in this example: <rule name="HTTP to HTTPS redirect" enabled="true" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="(/nossl/.*)" negate="true" /> <conditions logicalGrouping="MatchAll" trackAllCaptures="false"> <add input="{HTTPS}" pattern="off" /> </conditions> <action type="Redirect" url="https://{HTTP_HOST}/{R:1}" redirectType="Found" /> </rule> But this doesn't work.   • Define outgoing ip address when using ssh

    I have an ubuntu server machine (12.04) with 4 IP addresses for different websites that require unique ssl certificates. I sometimes ssh out from this box and the box I am going to I have to tell it what IP address I will be coming from. How do I specify which of the 4 ip addresses I want to use as my outgoing IP address? If i do an ifconfig it appears that I am going out as the last ipaddress. I guess you would want to specify either the address or the interface.... Thanks in advance! -Mark

    I am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS I need to use curl package. But it comes in version 7.35.0 with known SSL bug (already fixed in next version) I either need lower version <= 7.33.0 or higher >= 7.36.0 to make it works, but how can I do it? Do I need to manually install curl? I checked synaptics, "Force Version" feature is greyed out. I also checked apt-cache showpkg curl, there is no other version available. I also tried to add "proposed" repositories, no new curl version either. What should I do? I am thinking about getting .deb package from previous ubuntu release...

    I am trying to update a system using an HTTPS package mirror located here: https://mirror.ufs.ac.za/os/linux/distros/ubuntu/ubuntu/ However, during apt-get update, I get the following message: Packages server certificate verification failed. CAfile: /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt CRLfile: none If you visit the site in your browser, you are warned about the site's certificate, but I trust the site, so it's not an issue for me. I assume I must be able to add this exception somewhere for apt to proceed. Can you tell me where and how?

  • Is there a single book that covers the breadth of computer science fundamentals? [closed]

    When I did my undergraduate studies in elecrical engineering, there was this book called "Basic Electricity" by Van Valkenburgh. If you read that book cover to cover, your fundamentals in electrical engineering would be bulletproof. I would recommend it all my juniors and I absolutely loved it. Is there such a book in the field of computer science? I am not so concerned about the algorithms. I am looking more into something that tells me how does everything work beneath the covers. TCPIP, memory management, DNS, routing, SSL, buffer, queuing etc.

  • My site will not process Credit Cards [closed]

    Authorized.net was processing my credit card purchases until the end of Feb. As of 3/1/2011 they no longer will process electronic cigarette transactions. Processing network told us we would have a seamless transition over to a processor called EPN. Now we can not process and credit card orders at all. I have been told it's an SSL concern (EPN says no) I have been told it's an issue between Authorized.net and EPN again I am told no. Might site worked and functioned fine until the "seamless" transition took place. Please help me out here. Thanks Dave

When the client calls the service it'll be calling https myserver.com/myservices.svc but actually .svc will be in different servers like http web1.mysever.com/myservices.svc, http web2.mysever.com/myservices.svc, etc how do we handle this issue?

  • Gateway Page Between ASP and an ASP.NET Page

    I'll admit, I am pretty new with ASP .NET programming and I have been asked to take all our gateway pages (written in classic ASP) and make one universal gateway page to the few C# .NET applications we have (that I wrote). I tried searching here and the web and couldn't find much of anything describing a great way to do this and figured I was either not searching properly or was not properly naming what I am trying to do. I decided to to take one of the main gateway pages we had in classic ASP and use that as a base for my new gateway. Without boring you with a bunch of code I will summarize my gateway in steps and then can take advice/critique from there. EDIT: Basically what I am trying to do is go from a classic ASP page to a ASP .NET page and then back again. EDIT2: If my question is still unclear I am asking if what I have an the right start and if anyone has suggestions as to how this could be better. It can be as generic as need-be, not looking for a specific off-the-shelf code answer. I was reading on OpenQA's site about a jar and importing the certificate, but that is only for Internet Explorer and Firefox should automatically be handled.     Hey everyone! I'm using a Paypal add to cart button for a simple ecommerce website. I had a Paypal IPN handler written in PHP that was successfully working for 'Buy it Now' buttons and purchasing one item at a time. I would run a database query each time to update the store's inventory to reflect the purchase. Now I'm upgrading this store to a 'cart' version so people could check out with multiple items at a time. Would anyone be able to tell me, in general, how my IPN handler would need to be altered to accommodate this? I'm unsure of what a response from Paypal looks like for a cart purchase as opposed to a buy it now purchase. Thanks, any help or examples of working IPN cart scripts would be very appreciated!     I just installed Dynamics CRM 4.0. It is working nicely except for workflows. They won't start. I turned on tracing and it appears that there is an IO error. The server is setup with IFD and SSL. No issues accessing it internally or externally. If this is correct, how would one configure a CRM server for secure access, internal and external (IFD) and still allow asynch service to hit web site? Thanks for your help!

  • Static Map API that supports HTTPS requests and is free

    Any options out there? Google Static Maps with SSL (HTTPS) is only available to Premier members. Bing's Open Map API seems to have the same restricts. Any other ideas? I'm debating whether to schedule a cronjob to wget over http and dump the images I need into a folder (named after the content object IDs that reference them), but I'd rather find a free map API (or something less klugey) that supports HTTPS requests.
