But, I've searched through the whole header file defining 'String', there is not any static member named 'New' in the String class or its super classes. Is there any special meaning attached to String class or the New member function in C++?

How do I force WPF to render the text that gets displayed with drop shadow effect to retain Cleartype anti-aliasing, instead of that ugly blurry gray sub-pixel anti-aliasing? Some believe it's blurry because of the drop shadow -- this is not true. It's blurry only because ClearType is not used. This is how it looks like in Firefox when shadow AND ClearType: ClearType enabled text is colorful -- but that blurry text is not, because it does not use ClearType -- it uses gray sub-pixel anti-aliasing and that's not how ClearType works: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ClearType The question is: how do I enable ClearType for this text?

I've tried to override the defaults by adding .dojoxGridHeader or .dojoxGrid-Header to my style sheet, but these have no effect. Is there another way, such as with a Dojo event or property?   • WPF Grid Column MaxWidth not enforced

    This problem stems from not being able to get my TextBlock to wrap. Basically as a last-ditch attempt I am setting MaxWidth on my container grid's columns. I was surprised to find that my child label and textbox still do whatever they want (bad children, BAD) and are not limited by my grid column's MaxWidth="200". What I'm really trying to do is let my TextBlock fill available width and wrap if necessary. So far after trying many variations of HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" on every known parent in the universe, nothing works, except setting an explicit MaxWidth="400" or whatever number on the TextBlock. This is not good because I need the TextBlock to fill available width, not be limited by some fixed number.     Hi, Would it be theoretically possible to make BackgroundWorker in a class to periodically refresh existing splash screen form, or is that impossible? (I know that it's probably bad design, but currently I do not see any better way.) Please keep in mind that: I do not want the background worker to do the loading as it would be terribly hard to implement. I can't use the inbuilt splash screen support I'm aware of DoEvents alternative but I do not want to go this path, it would very hard to implement as well, and not reliable.

Nice. I also have a Data Trigger on the listviewitem: <Style.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding IsTestTrue}" Value="True"> <DataTrigger.EnterActions> <BeginStoryboard Storyboard="{StaticResource SomeFunkyAnimation}" /> </DataTrigger.EnterActions> </DataTrigger> If test is true then a nice little fade animation is played out. This all works except when I move my mouse over the row where "test is true" the animation stops and the mouse over style is displayed. Any ideas how I can override that style in my DataTrigger? TIA

    Hi, Is there any way to disable the WP7 splash screen and just show a blank screen? My splash screen only stays on for less than half a second, leaving the user with a rather jarring sensation. I'd rather they not see any splash screen at all. I would have simply used a plain black image as my splash screen, but then that would result in an ugly experience for people using a light theme (since my app's background is white on light themes and black on dark themes) Thanks!
