• capture flash key event "escape"

  I have a flash site that users can view full Screen video. the trouble is, I am making only the video player full screen (hiding the rest of the site behind it). my "toggle full screen" button works in that it reduces the video player back to normal size when the user toggles out of full screen back. but when the user hits the escape key, my flash script doesn't know that the video player should be reduced in size. it seems there's no way to capture the ESCAPE key as a key event. any ideas?

I've sent a list of appropriate DNN modules to our client but it may take them forever to get back to me. In the mean time they still submitting requests to us to create redirects for them. if there's no cost involved then i wont have to wait for them to get back to me. so I'm looking for a Quick and free way to enable the clients to set these up on this own.   Hello people, I'm getting crazy with a small problem here, I keep getting an error and I cant seem to figure out why, the code is supposed to change the range of a list, so if we give it a list with values (1 2 3 4) and we want to change the range in 11 to fourteen the result would be (11 12 13 14) the problem is that the last function called scale-list will give back an error saying: Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-type-argument number-or-marker-p nil) anybody has a clue why?   Hi All, Suppose there is a table A which has a column AccessRights which is multivalued( Eg of values in it in this format STOLI,HELP,BRANCH(comma separated string) Now a stored procedure is written against this table to fetch records based on a AccessRight parameter sent to the SP. Let that parameter be @AccessRights, this is also a comma separated string which may have a value like STOLI,BRANCH,HELPLINE etc Now I want to compare individual values from the parameter @AccessRights with the column AccessRights. Current Approach is I split the Comma Separated string(@AccessRights) using a User Defined Function Split. And I get Individual values in a Table variable(Contains only one column "accessGroup"), the individual values are in a Table variable under the column name accessGroup and I use following code in the SP for comparison Where AccessRights like '%'+accessGroup+'%' Now if the user passes the parameter (HELP, OLI) instead of( HELP,STOLI) the SP will give the output. What should be done for comparison so that that subststring OLI does not give the output for STOLI

  I'm trying to verify the PGP Signature of the latest version of KeePass 2.14's setup file against this signature, but this is the output I receive: C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU\GnuPG>gpg.exe --verify C:\Users\User\Desktop\KeePass-2.14-Setup.exe gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found. gpg: the signature could not be verified. Please remember that the signature file (.sig or .asc) should be the first file given on the command line. C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU\GnuPG> I found this command here, but it made no mention about ".sig" or ".asc" files, so I figured I did something wrong. By reading (http://www.gnupg.org/documentation/manuals/gnupg/gpgv.html#gpgv), I further tried the following: C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU\GnuPG>gpg.exe --pgpfile C:\Users\User\Desktop\KeePass-2.14-Setup.exe gpg: Invalid option "--pgpfile" C:\Program Files (x86)\GNU\GnuPG> As you can see, the results are quite obfuscating... I took a look at this on SuperUser (http://superuser.com/questions/16160/short-easy-to-understand-explanation-of-gpg-pgp-for-nontechnical-people - I couldn't use "a href" due to the built in spam filter that discriminates against users with < 10 rep; this is the same reason for the link above this link), but none of the links seemed to really address my question, at least not directly enough for me to get any idea on how to move forward on this. Can anybody here help me with the esoteric technicality of OpenPGP & the associated use of the GnuPG program? I've felt pretty dumb learning VBS, but this is beyond humiliating: it's absolutely debilitating and maiming whatever confidence I had with my IT skills (then again, I have no justification for making any boast either, as I have yet to get my A+ Cert, lol).

• upgrading to worpdress 3.5 erased all posts and pages, wiped database

  So I have upgraded to wordpress 3.5 and that seemed to have erased all posts and custom post types, media images, sliders etc' I have made a backup using both pressbackup and backupbuddy but when I try to restore the database (or everything). when it is done, if I look at the front end, everything is back and looks great but then when I go to the back end it says the database needs to be upgraded and doesn't let me bypass that. if i click ok it prompts the following message and after that everything is wiped again: WordPress database error: [Table 'db446353270.wp_categories' doesn't exist] SELECT * FROM wp_categories ORDER BY cat_ID WordPress database error: [Table 'db446353270.wp_post2cat' doesn't exist] SELECT post_id, category_id FROM wp_post2cat GROUP BY post_id, category_id WordPress database error: [Table 'db446353270.wp_linkcategories' doesn't exist] SELECT cat_id, cat_name FROM wp_linkcategories WordPress database error: [Unknown column 'link_category' in 'field list'] SELECT link_id, link_category FROM wp_links please advise. • Spry Collapsible Panel within Collapsible Panel, inconsistent errors.

  Hello everyone it is me again with another question. The booking system located here http://www.divethegap.com/scuba-diving-programmes-dive-the-gap/divemaster-training.php?cat=16 There are 3 main collapsible panels controlled by the spry framework. There are then over a dozen more inside the first collapsible panel as you can see on that page. When you open one of those by pressing one of the 'learn more' buttons you will see that the main collapsible panel that it is in also expands to fit that content and the contracts if you close the smaller panel again. However as soon as you go to the next main collapsible panel 'summery and quote' and then go back to the first main panel by pressing the button that says 'back' there are problems. Now if you open up one of the smaller panels inside the first main panel you will see that the main panel does not expand to fit the contents and in fact the content of the smaller panels spreads over the other content, floating above it.   I'm trying EF out and I do a lot of filtering based on many to many relationships. For instance I have persons, locations and a personlocation table to link the two. I also have a role and personrole table. EDIT: Tables: Person (personid, name) Personlocation (personid, locationid) Location (locationid, description) Personrole (personid, roleid) Role (roleid, description) EF will give me persons, roles and location entities. EDIT: Since EF will NOT generate the personlocation and personrole entity types, they cannot be used in the query. How do I create a query to give me all the persons of a given location with a given role? In SQL the query would be select p.* from persons as p join personlocations as pl on p.personid=pl.personid join locations as l on pl.locationid=l.locationid join personroles as pr on p.personid=pr.personid join roles as r on pr.roleid=r.roleid where r.description='Student' and l.description='Amsterdam' I've looked, but I can't seem to find a simple solution.

  In general, is it better to have a web application make lots of calls to a web service getting smaller chunks of data back, or to have the web app make fewer calls and get larger chunks of data? In particular, I'm building a Silverlight app that needs to get large amounts of data back from the server in response to a query created by a user. Each query could return anywhere from a few hundred records to a few thousand. Each record has around thirty fields of mostly decimal-type data. I've run into the situation before where the payload size of the response exceeded the maximum allowed by the service. I'm wondering whether it's better (more efficient for the server/client/web service) to cut this payload vertically--getting all values for a single field with each call--or horizontally--getting batches of complete records with each call. Or does it matter?

• Can squid forward DNS queries to a DNS server?

  This might something be completely impossible to achieve, but before I give it a shot thought I might get some advice from a fellow geek. Would squid proxy DNS queries as well? I would like to forward DNS queries to go through squid and use squid's DNS error page, of course by customizing it. I see the DNS queries are hitting my squid box on UDP port 53. I can setup a port forwarding so that all these queries get sent to squid's port 3128. But would squid understand its a DNS query and forward those queries to the dns server set in squid.conf? I hope my question is clear but please shout up and I would be glad to give you some more info if needed. Thanks guys!

  In bash, when I go back in history, edit some command and run it, this edited command is appended to history and the original one is left intact. But every once in a while I somehow manage to affect the original command, i.e. my edit replaces the original command back in history. I can't put my finger on how this happens. Can someone explain? My goal is to avoid this, so any edit to a previous command always gets appended to history and never replaces the original.

I am sure that when we run the application from VS, it creates an environment that simulates the cloud. But if i want to give my application for testing to QA, do i still need to give my source to them and run the application from VS under dev fabric or do we any other way in running my deployed package under dev fabric.   I'm pretty new to Python so I am still just learning the language. One of the things I came across was reassigning sys.stdout to change the default output of print. So I wrote this as a test: import sys sys.stdout = open('log.txt','a') print('hey') sys.stdout.close() sys.stdout = sys.__stdout__ print('hi') Now the string 'hi' is not written to the file but it does not show in the default output either. When I assign some other variable to sys.stdout in the beginning and change it back it works, but I'm just wondering why its not changing back the first time.

  Hey guys, I've a small question on ASP.NET MVC 2. I'm using Data Annotations on my Presentation Model and its model binder per default. But one step back, I want to do the most elementary thing: validation of the data type. Let's say I have an "int ID" on my model and want to edit the according entity in my view. If I enter something wrong like "foo", then I get a model error back, but the validation message is on English. I want to have this message in other languages, too. How can I do this? I remember that in MVC 1 I've written a custom model binder which checks the data types, but that's not what I want to do (at least not in MVC 2). Thus I hope there is a better way...   Hi all. This questions doesn't let me sleep as it's since one year I'm trying to find a solution but... still nothing happened in my mind. Probably you can help me, because I think this is a very common issue. I've a n-layered application: presentation layer, business logic layer, model layer. Suppose for simplicity that my application contains, in the presentation layer, a form that allows a user to search for a customer. Now the user fills the filters through the UI and clicks a button. Something happens and the request arrives to presentation layer to a method like CustomerSearch(CustomerFilter myFilter). This business logic layer now keeps it simple: creates a query on the model and gets back results. Now the question: how do you face the problem of loading data? I mean business logic layer doesn't know that that particular method will be invoked just by that form. So I think that it doesn't know if the requesting form needs just the Customer objects back or the Customer objects with the linked Order entities. I try to explain better: our form just wants to list Customers searching by surname. It has nothing to do with orders. So the business logic query will be something like: (from c in ctx.CustomerSet where c.Name.Contains(strQry) select c).ToList(); now this is working correctly. Two days later your boss asks you to add a form that let you search for customers like the other and you need to show the total count of orders created by each customer. Now I'd like to reuse that query and add the piece of logic that attach (includes) orders and gets back that. How would you front this request? Here is the best (I think) idea I had since now. I'd like to hear from you: my CustomerSearch method in BLL doesn't create the query directly but passes through private extension methods that compose the ObjectQuery like: private ObjectQuery<Customer> SearchCustomers(this ObjectQuery<Customer> qry, CustomerFilter myFilter) and private ObjectQuery<Customer> IncludeOrders(this ObjectQuery<Customer> qry) but this doesn't convince me as it seems too complex. • Unable to encode to iso-8859-1 encoding for some chars using Perl Encode module

  I have a HTML string in ISO-8859-1 encoding. I need to pass this string to HTML:Entities::decode_entities() for converting some of the HTML ASCII codes to respective chars. To so i am using a module HTML::Parser::Entities 3.65 but after decode_entities() operation my whole string changes to utf-8 string. This behavior seems fine as the documentation of the HTML::Parse. As i need this string back in ISO-8859-1 format for further processing so i have used Encode::encode("iso-8859-1",$str) to change the string back to ISO-8859-1 encoding. My results are fine excepts for some chars, a question mark is coming instead. One example is single quote ' ASCII code (’) Can anybody help me if there any limitation of Encode module? Any other pointer will also be helpful to solve the problem. Thanks

  greetings! i have a C# game program that im developing. it uses sound samples and winsock. when i test run the game most of the audio works fine but from time to time if it is multiple samples being played sequentially the application form shakes a little bit and then goes back to its old position. how do i go about debugging this or present it to you folks in a manageable manner? im sure no one is going to want the whole app code in fear of virus attacks. please guide me.. thanking you. EDIT: i have not been able to pin down any code section that produces this result. it just does and i cannot explain it. EDIT: no the x/y position are not changing. the window like shakes around a few pixels and then goes back to the position were it was before the shake.
