    Hay, i have a simple model class Manufacturer(models.Model): name = models.CharField() car_count = models.IntegerField() class Car(models.Model): maker = ForeignKey(Manufacturer) I want to update the car_count field when a car is added to a manufacturer, I'm aware i could just count the Manufacturer.car_set() to get the value, but i want the value to be stored within that car_count field.     hi, I'm using the following lines to store the location of an object. var lightboxTop = $('#lightbox').css('top'); var lightboxLeft = $('#lightbox').css(' left'); I'm successively moving this object in my element, and I want to restore it previous position with the stored variables. But, I'm afraid javascript is saving the values by reference so I lose the initial positions. Am I correct ? How can I solve this ? thanks

Accessing this column using the variable is easy using bracket notation: df <- data.frame(A = rep(1, 10), B = rep(2, 10)) column.name <- 'B' df[,column.name] But it is not obvious how to access an arbitrary column using a call to with(). The naive approach with(df, column.name) effectively evaluates column.name in the caller's environment. How can I delay evaluation sufficiently that with() will provide the same results that brackets give?

    When getopt or getopt_long encounters an illegal option, it stores the offending option character in optopt. When the illegal option is a long option, where can I find out what the option was? And does anything meaningful get stored in optopt then? I've set opterr = 0 to suppress the automatically printed error message. I want to create my own message that I can print or log where I'd like, but I want to include the name of the unrecognized option.

For instance, if an object is 4bytes, then can we divide the available virtual memory by 4 bytes to give an estimate of how many more objects could be stored by the program safely?     I am trying to make a ranking manager for a small project.The totals are stored in the database.I can easily get the max and min using mysql and also arrange the records descending.The problem comes in when there is a tie.I need to show a tie in the form:1,2,3,3,4,5,6,7,7,7,7, etc.The repeated numbers will show the ties.I have been thinking of ways of achieving the above but i need more ideas;mine is seems long and complicated.
