  • JQuery not copying state dropdown list 1 to DDL2 on checkbox change

    I've looked at similar posts on the subject but none of the recommended solutions have worked for me so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I have a billing and shipping address form with a dropdown list for the state. Upon checking/unchecking the "billing address same as shipping" everything copies over except the state dropdown list. The state dropdown list is populated from a SQLDataSource state table.     What is the best way to get a log of commits on a branch since the time it was branched from the current branch? My solution so far is: git log $(git merge-base HEAD branch)..branch The documentation for git-diff indicates that "git diff A...B" is equivalent to "git diff $(git-merge-base A B) B". On the other hand, the documentation for git-rev-parse indicates that "r1...r2" is defined as "r1 r2 --not $(git merge-base --all r1 r2)". Why are these different? Note that "git diff HEAD...branch" gives me the diffs I want, but the corresponding git log command gives me more than what I want. In pictures, suppose this: x---y---z---branch / ---a---b---c---d---e---HEAD I would like to get a log containing commits x, y, z. "git diff HEAD...branch" gives these commits. However, "git log HEAD...branch" gives x, y, z, c, d, e.

    I am having comment reply (only till one level) functionality. All comments can have as many as replies but no replies can have their further replies. So my database table structure is like below Id ParentId Comment 1 0 this is come sample comment text 2 0 this is come sample comment text 3 0 this is come sample comment text 4 1 this is come sample comment text 5 0 this is come sample comment text 6 3 this is come sample comment text 7 1 this is come sample comment text In the above structures, commentid, 1 (has 2 replies) and 3 (1 reply) has replies. So to fetch the comments and their replies, one simple method is first I fetch all the comments having ParentId as 0 and then by running a while loop fetch all the replies of that particular commentId. But that seems to be running hundreds of queries if I'll have around 200 comments on a particular record. So I want to make a query which will fetch Comments with their replies sequentially as following; Id ParentId Comment 1 0 this is come sample comment text 4 1 this is come sample comment text 7 1 this is come sample comment text 2 0 this is come sample comment text 3 0 this is come sample comment text 6 3 this is come sample comment text 5 0 this is come sample comment text I also have a comment date column in my comment table, if anyone wants to use this with comment query. So finally I want to fetch all the comments and their replies by using one single mysql query. Please tell me how I can do that? Thanks

    I have a requirement for the project I'm working on right now which is proving a bit tricky for me. Basically I have to sort an array of items based on the Text property of those items: Here are my items: var answers = [], answer1 = { Id: 1, Text: '3-4 weeks ago' }, answer2 = { Id: 2, Text: '1-2 weeks ago' }, answer3 = { Id: 3, Text: '7-8 weeks ago' }, answer4 = { Id: 4, Text: '5-6 weeks ago' }, answer5 = { Id: 5, Text: '1-2 days ago' }, answer6 = { Id: 6, Text: 'More than 1 month ago' }; answers.push(answer1); answers.push(answer2); answers.push(answer3); answers.push(answer4); answers.push(answer5); answers.push(answer6); I need to analyse the Text property of each item so that, after the sorting, the array looks like this: answers[0] = { Id: 6, Text: 'More than 1 month ago' } answers[1] = { Id: 3, Text: '7-8 weeks ago' } answers[2] = { Id: 4, Text: '5-6 weeks ago' } answers[3] = { Id: 1, Text: '3-4 weeks ago' } answers[4] = { Id: 2, Text: '1-2 weeks ago' } answers[5] = { Id: 5, Text: '1-2 days ago' } The logic is that, the furthest away the date, the more high priority it is, so it should appear first in the array. So "1-2 days" is less of a priority then "7-8 weeks". So the logic is that, I need to extract the number values, and then the units (e.g. days, weeks) and somehow sort the array based on those details. Quite honestly I'm finding it very difficult to come up with a solution, and I'd appreciate any help.

    In python, I can alter the state of an instance by directly assigning to attributes, or by making method calls which alter the state of the attributes: foo.thing = 'baz' or: foo.thing('baz') Is there a nice way to create a class which would accept both of the above forms which scales to large numbers of attributes that behave this way? (Shortly, I'll show an example of an implementation that I don't particularly like.) If you're thinking that this is a stupid API, let me know, but perhaps a more concrete example is in order. Say I have a Document class. Document could have an attribute title. However, title may want to have some state as well (font,fontsize,justification,...), but the average user might be happy enough just setting the title to a string and being done with it ...   • Why is text on my TV monitor all grainy?

    I have successfully installed the Catalyst drivers and hooked up my 1080p TV to the Radeon HD 5750's HDMI port and now it is working. There only seems to be one issue - most images appear OK, at least to my eyes, but text is grainy and difficult to read (not sure how well it can be seen in the picture): It works fine with a smaller screen, and hopefully you can see it with the new pictures which are only slightly better, but images are rendered a little funny too. Changing antialiasing does nothing and changing the refresh rate only makes a slight change if any. The small monitor I have works fine. Smaller resolutions such as 1024x768 look OK but are the wrong aspect ratio. I have tried renaming the input mode on the TV to "PC", and that helped... a little bit. Also, I tried a different PC with the same result. Messing around extensively with the ATI Catalyst Control Center also did not help. I am wondering if there is anything else I can try to increase the quality so it is more usable.

    I have a site currently written with HTML5 tags. I'd like to be able to parse the site as XML, with support for namespaces, etc, to facilitate programmatic extraction of data. Currently I have <!DOCTYPE html> and <meta charset="utf-8"> Which I gather is equivalent in HTML5 to explicitly setting the content-types as <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> for my current setup. In order to serve XML it sounds like the right thing to do is <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> Should I also change my Content-Type to <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="application/xhtml+xml; charset=iso-8859-1" /> Or is that not necessary? What is the advantage of having content-type be "application/xhtml+xml"? What is the disadvantage? (Sounds like it may break internet explorer rendering of the site? but maybe that information is out of date now?) Many thanks!

  • How can I still see the 'man' text after I quit man?

    I typically use tcsh or bash and often want to use 'man' to review a command's options. Currently when I quit man or ctrl-C, the man text disappears and I see the scrollback buffer that was there before I performed the 'man' command. I would like to still see the 'man' text I was viewing as a reference while I'm typing the command at the command prompt without opening a second window, how can I do that?

  • Android listview produces black highlighting over text when scrolling. How to stop this?

    I have a listview within which each item contains black text on a white background. When testing on a Nexus One, when scrolling down to read through the text, a black highlight appears over the text and makes it unreadable. I am trying to figure out what is this setting so I can turn it off. I do not want anything to get highlighted when scrolling down through the list. How can I accomplish this? Thanks.

For instance, there are plenty of controls that have a Text property but only the following implement ITextControl: Label Literal DataBoundLiteral TextBox ListControl (TextBox and ListControl actually implement IEditableTextControl which implements ITextControl) TableCell, Button, HyperLink and others don't so I have to write code like this ITextControl textControl = control as ITextControl; TableCell tableCell = control as TableCell; if (textControl != null) { textControl.Text = value; } else if (tableCell != null) { tableCell.Text = value; } instead of this control.Text = value; Was this a design decision or an oversight?

  • How can I send out diff's of submitted changes to the entire project whenever someone commits a chan

    I'd like to be able to send all the contributors working on a project a message whenever a commit is made. This way, everyone sees the contribution, and hopefully someone will take a look and spot bugs and whatnot. Furthermore, it provides our bosses with a nice and simple, if a little incomprehensible, way to get an idea of how the project is progressing. We're using Mercurial right now.
