• WHM new account nameservers not responding

  I've setup a new account in WHM and updated the nameservers from Domain Registrar and it's not responding from the server. So I went to DNS functions and Nameserver IP's and I have the following ns1.example.com.au No IP 4 ns2.example.com.au No IP 4 I'm not sure whether "NO IP" part is the problem I went in to the domains and they seem to be properly set up. Below is what my Domain Registrar responded with my ticket. those nameservers are either a) offline/not responding or b) not set up correctly as nameservers. Is there a place I can check in WHM to make nameservers respond correctly? The nameservers I updated with above ns1.example.com.au and ns2.example.com.au but it's not working. WHM version is: WHM 11.32.2 (build 18)

• How to fix skipping/stuttering audio in Google Chrome

  If I play Google Music, or a Youtube video in the Chrome browser, and then open a new tab and start typing the address bar, the audio will quickly cut in and out as I am typing (with almost every letter I type). It also is choppy if I play the video and start typing in the start menu. I can not repeat this behavior using internet explorer. Based on that Im thinking that it maybe a problem with the version of flash Chrome is using but I'm not sure. Any ideas? Im running 32 bit windows 7, i.e. 9, and chrome 23.0 pc is a lenovo t43p. I have the latest sound drivers. i.e. is using flash 11.5.502. chrome is using : Adobe Flash Player - Version: 11.5.31.2 Only one (this) plugin is listed for flash in the chrome plugins list.

  Does anybody know a few details about signed software and /Applications/Utilities/Installer.app? I didn't find more at Wikipedia (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Installer_%28Mac_OS_X%29) and the UNIX-Manual (man 8 installer). I have here a valid signature from iLife 11 Installer.app (http://i.imgur.com/Y3raY.jpg). Does this mean I can be 100% sure that nothing is modified? It means I can trust this PKG because signed by Apple? Or did I get something wrong?

  I recieve the following error when I try to configure SharePoint 2010 Server: "Cannot connect to the database master at SQL server at [computer.domain]. The database might not exist, or the current user does not have permission to connect to it."   To Clarify: my question is why isn't my password policy applying to people in the domain. Hey guys, having trouble with our password policy in Active Directory. Sometimes it just helps me to type out what I’m seeing It appears to not be applying properly across the board. I am new to this environment and AD in general but I think I have a general grasp of what should be going on. It’s a pretty simple AD setup without too many Group Policies being applied. It looks something like this DOMAIN Default Domain Policy (link enabled) Password Policy (link enabled and enforce) Personal OU Force Password Change (completely empty nothing in this GPO) IT OU Lockout Policy (link enabled and enforced) CS OU Lockout Policy Accouting OU Lockout Policy The password policy and default domain policy both define the same things under Computer ConfigWindows seetings sec settings Account Policies / Password Policy Enforce password History : 24 passwords remembered Maximum Password age : 180 days Min password age: 14 days Minimum Password Length: 6 characters Password must meet complexity requirements: Enabled Store Passwords using reversible encryption: Disabled Account Policies / Account Lockout Policy Account Lockout Duration 10080 Minutes Account Lockout Threshold: 5 invalid login attempts Reset Account Lockout Counter after : 30 minutes IT lockout This just sets the screen saver settings to lock computers when the user is Idle. After running Group Policy modeling it seems like the password policy and default domain policy is getting applied to everyone.   im trying to connect LDAP over StartTLS but Im stuck with an issue. • Linux / apache web-server segmentation fault warnings

  Lately I have been receiving a lot of segmentation fault warnings on my web-server. The warnings look like: [notice] child pid xxxx exit signal Segmentation fault (11) I have consulted with the server provider (it is a dedicated redhat enterprise server) and they could not find anything. What I have done so far: Since the error I have already tried the following: I have added more ram I have turned off / turned on several php modules (they sent me to a web-page someone had the same problem, caused by an excessive amount of php modules) At the moments the warnings occur, there seems to be plenty of free ram left and the number of processes is very low (the number of httpd processes is about a quarter of the maximum allowed). What can be causing these errors? Edit: current versions apache: 2.0.52 php: 5.2.8 RHEL 4 Edit 2: Although I asked this a long time ago, I never was able to solve it until I upgraded to php 5.3.

  I have a dedicated server running Debian 6, with Libvirt (0.9.11.3) and Qemu-KVM (qemu-kvm-1.0+dfsg-11, Debian). I am having a problem getting bridged/routed networking to work in KVM guests with newer kernels (2.6.38). NATted networking works fine though. Older kernels work perfectly fine as well.   I found this in the Event Viewer logs: The description for Event ID 11 from source RAMDiskVE cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. Which doesn't say much. The details don't reveal much more: Failed to read configuration information from registry. 0000000002002C00000000000B0007C0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 So my question is, what is RAMDiskVE and what device is it for? Basically I'm trying to rule out hardware but I have no idea what's failing...

  Hello all, I recently installed Suse Linux enterprise Desktop 11 on my box. I created an user and logged in first time into a GNOME session without any problems. Last time I logged in I selected the session as TWM and that got me into the T windows manager just fine. Now when I log out and try to log back into a GNOME session, it will still log me into the TVM session. I have tried restarting the box but that has not helped. However, when I remote log in to the machine it will let me got on the GNOME session just fine. I'm guessing this is probably a really simple fix, however I am a Linux newbie and doing a google search isn't yielding me what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance for your help, Rohan

• Trouble installing php memcache extension

  I'm trying to install memcache on MAMP but I get the warning below, and when I continue it seems to complete properly. I add the line extension=memcache.so to the php.ini and restart MAMP but phpinfo() doesn't list the memcache extension. $ ./pecl install memcache downloading memcache-2.2.5.tgz ... I've added the apple.ldif schema, and the samba.ldif schema, plus a test user. • Postfix SMTP server down on Ubuntu

  I have a Plesk server running Postfix on Ubuntu 10.04 and the SMTP service on port 25 is down. When I stop and then start postfix the server comes up only for a minute and goes down again. I have checked the load on the server and it is low as shown: *top - 04:29:33 up 19 days, 3:25, 4 users, load average: 1.47, 1.78, 2.34 Tasks: 936 total, 1 running, 935 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 0.7%us, 0.3%sy, 0.0%ni, 86.6%id, 11.7%wa, 0.6%hi, 0.1%si, 0.0%st Mem: 6110496k total, 6072988k used, 37508k free, 251244k buffers Swap: 12000544k total, 95264k used, 11905280k free, 4370432k cached* IMAP clients are not experiencing a problem and there are no issues with receiving emails for both POP or IMAP. Only SMTP (port 25) is a problem. • MySQL replication hung after slave goes offline and comes back online again

  I have a master server and several slave servers replicating a single database. I am using in MySQL 5.0 in SLES 11. During fault tolerance testing I found that when the slave's network connection is broken (cable un-plugged) and then restored, replication hangs. It shows no errors and the slave appears to be running but the Read_Master_Log_Pos and Exec_Master_Log_Pos values do not match the log postion on the master server. The Slave_IO_State is "Waiting for master to send event". The Slave_IO_Running and Slave_SQL_Running values are both are "Yes". The Master_Log_File and Relay_Master_Log_File match. If I stop and start the slave or restart the mysql daemon, replication starts working again. Any ideas on what I can do about this?

• Squid not caching

  I am trying to configure Squid as a caching server. I have a LAN where The webserver (apache) is at 192.168.122.11 squid is at 192.168.122.21 and my client is at 192.168.122.22. The problem is, when I look at Squid's access log, all I see are TCP_MISS messages. It seems Squid is not caching at all. I checked that the cache directory has all proper permissions. What else can go wrong here? Please let me know if I need to post the configuration

• Blurry Digital TV Signal in Media Center

  I recently reformatted my box and I reinstalled XP Media Center 2005. My TV signal is perfect if I plug it directly into the tv; and at any rate even shows I recorded previous to the reformat are blury. I have installed all updates (including Media Player 11) and I have installed a codec pack for different file types. I have no clue why it wouldn't display right. When I play the previously recorded shows in VLC they come out perfectly clear... Any ideas?

• Extension icons in Chrome for Mac have disappeared

  On my new MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and Google Chrome for Mac, 5.0.307.11 beta, some (but not all) of the icons for extensions have disappeared. I can tell SOMETHING is still there, because the space is occupied and you can see it indent as you mouse over it. You can also see the name of the extension pop up in a balloon below. But the extension icon is invisible and the extension itself doesn't work. Right now it's happened with Google Translate, the show-in-IE extension, Wikipedia Chromium, Send with GMail and Clip to Evernote. The LastPass and Feedly extension icons are still visible. Any ideas on how to get them back and stop this from happening again? Seth Williamson

• Need help generating a core dump from apache segfault

  I have a script which intermittently returns a white screen of death in firefox and Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error. chrome. When I try to access the script using a PHP HTTP client (like Zend_Http_Client), intermittently I get an exception (sorry I don't have the exact message on me at the moment). I suspect a segfault. This is further buttressed by the lines in my error log that look like this: [Thu Mar 18 16:03:02 2010] [notice] child pid 845 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) Now, I'm running RedHat, and I know that RedHat doesn't generate core dumps out-of-the-box. I followed the instructions here http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/docs/DOC-5353, but I'm not seeing any core dumps. How do I generate a core dump?

The WEP, WPA-PSK connections and communications between my board with linux and my desktop PC, Windows XP SP2 (with Olitec USB wireless) are fine. But when I configured the WPA type, the connection seems established but shows the status "TKIP - Key Absent" in the security dialog box. Anyone faced this problem?
