• Where to get ads for my website ?

  I am the developer of the website named viewloud Now as my website is getting around 100 visitors per day so i was thinking that i should put some ads on my website but it is really very hard to find the best advertising plan which can benefit me the most. Google adsence . Is it a good choice ? Will google adsence allow me to open a account there with such little traffic on my website. ? • Why is Web SQL database deprecated?

  I am making a hybrid Android app. At first I decided to use localStorage, after spending 2 days, I realized that it is very strange and so dropped it. Then, I picked up indexedDB, after spending today's whole day and actually getting the output in Google Chrome, it is not running inside a WebView of the android app. And I never used Web SQL database at all because it was deprecated. Anyhow, it has come to my notice that PhoneGap still uses Web SQL and android's browsers support it. Why was Web SQL deprecated in the first place? And will it be a good idea for me to go with Web SQL now?

• TX 1000 Nvidia driver problem

  Hello i installed the news ubuntu the other day and istalled all the drivers and then restart the laptop. then i get the login screen with no problem then when i login the black screen in about 10 mins a window popup saying that the application compiz has closed unexpectedly i relunch the app. and then it happens again. i have uninstalled nvidia driver then restarted and the OS works fine.. tryed older driver and still the same problem. anyone out there can help would be great.

• Double X-screens on one monitor

  I have two monitors connected currently, my laptop display and an old dell monitor. For some reason one monitor (the dell) has double everything (it will make sense when you see the image). I think it came about when one day I tried using separate x-screen instead of just twin view for a specific reason I don't remember why (I was trying to get the Menu bar to show on my laptop monitor instead of the Dell I believe, it only shows up on the left-most monitor it seems) but anyhow I was wondering if anyone can help me fix this issue. • How to Get Vim to do Filename Completion Even When You are Root

If you occasionally edit files as root (I never do, I always use pfexec, wink wink), then you may have noticed that the vim (Vi Improved) editor that normally does filename completion via the <Tab> key now gives you something like: :e /etc/mo^I when you try to open up /etc/motd with a little less typing So, there are at least three solutions to this: Use <Ctrl>-E instead of <Tab> Use the "-N" flag when you start Vim :set wildchar=<Tab> (Enter those 5 characters, not an actual Tab) The reason for this? It seems that when you are root, Vim sets it's "compatible" flag, which makes it behave more like its ancestor vi. In turn this makes Vim set 'wildchar' to <Ctrl>-E. • HP Bluetooth Mouse Connection Problems

  About a month ago, I turned on my laptop (Ubuntu 14.04 and Windows 8.1 dual boot, though the mouse works fine in Windows), logged in and connected my HP x4000b mouse via a bluetooth dongle (Kinivo BTD-400), and noticed that the battery indicator in Ubuntu said that the mouse battery was at 0%. The day before it was around 30%, so I decided to just change the batteries in the mouse, but after reconnecting with the new batteries, it still said 0%. The mouse connected and worked just fine, so I didn't think much of it. About a week after that, I noticed that my mouse would sometimes disconnect if I didn't use it, but since reconnecting isn't that hard I just decided to leave it. Now it also won't reconnect unless I log out and back in again, which is getting sort of tedious. Is there any way to fix this issue? Any help is appreciated, and I will try and respond to questions ASAP. Thanks.

• Should a complete newbie use mongoose js? [on hold]

  I drank from the koolaid and jumped aboard the node.js bandwagon even though I barely know javascript. That said, I have the opportunity to work with one of 2 templates. One is just node, express and mongodb, and the second includes mongoose and jade with the other 3 and is easier for me to understand. Yet I'm concerned that if I begin with mongoose, I'll be too high level and miss some of the fundamentals. Is my concern warranted? Should I work my way up or should I just start playing with all the toys from day one?

I have done pretty nice SEO of my website , the website is made in php , anyone can submit article and the submitted articles are moderated by the moderators , the site is online from more then a month but still the user count is 10-20 only total impressions are 700 according to webmaster google , how much time does google webmaster takes to refresh the data , cause from 3 -4 days the impressions shown in the dashboard are 700 only , I am posting 2 article each day , please help me , I am very disappointed with all my effort and i really need a good motivation to carry on my work. • How do I get a Vodafone K3772-Z USB modem working?

  I recently switched from Win 7 to Ubuntu 12.04...Best day of my life :) I have a question relating to my Vodafone K3772-Z USB modem. When I plug it in, the lights start flashing on the device, meaning that it is functional. In the network menu I get a "Wired network Vodafone K3772-Z disconnected". I have set up the a connection by using Edit connections - mobile broadband - Add, but in the add window the "Create a connection for this mobile device" is blanked out and says "Any Device". Does anyone perhaps have an idea of what I could do to get it working?

• Strange issue with Wordpress sites, is it PHP Memory?

  This has happened to me twice with the same host and I want to know the real cause. I have multiple wordpress sites hosted on a shared server. One day when I attempt to visit any of the sites, the webpage simply downloads the index.php file. It happens on all wordpress sites but not on static sites hosted there. I understand this is a php issue on the server, but what could be happening specifically? the only thing I could find when searching is something to do with memory limits. Is this common? Should I be worried about this host?

• Adwords: is it possible to automatically copy changes in one campaign to other campaigns?

  Is it possible to have identical campaigns except for one thing, and whenever changes are made to one campaign, the same changes are automatically made to others? I want to have identical campaigns running for different time zones, but for the campaigns only to run between particular hours of the day in each time zone. If I have a campaign for each time zone, when I make changes to one campaign, such as adding ad groups, or adding keywords, or changing bid amounts, etc, I want those changes to occur to the other campaigns also. • Monitor aspect ratio; Does the difference matter?

  So, I'm looking ordering myself a new development desktop soon and setting up a PROPER office environment by the end of this year. To boost productivity, I'm going to purchase three new monitors. I find that two just isn't enough when I'm debugging or doing something intensive. That said, I had something pointed out to me the other day that I never really noticed nor cared about before - is the difference between a 16:10 and a 16:9 monitor noticeable when programming? Do you really miss those few extra lines, or is it something that you don't notice at all. I notice HP only seems to sell 16:9 monitors (as far as I have found). Is this becoming something of a new standard with the recent growth and cleaver marketing of of "HD 16:9"? To summarize: Has anybody made the switch from 16:10 to 16:9 (or vise-versa) and actually noticed the difference while programming?

Most developers I come across are like this and also tend to be serious penny-pinchers.   My recent installation 10.10 keeps crashing on start-up after working perfectly for one day. Nothing new has been installed. I have just moved from XP so I would be very grateful if some one could please explain to me, as simply as possible, how to do the following... How to diagnose the problem so it can be fixed, remember it may have to be before the log in. Is there someway I can do a system restore to its original settings or something without a backup? • WUBI Install freezes on startup

  Ok, I don't completely know of all the specifications, but installing Ubuntu 12.04.1 on my cousin's old Windows XP computer, an old Compaq from around 2004. After install via Wubi, and going through several unsuccessful install attempts, I finally get the start up screen of Ubuntu, and it freezes once you get to the pretty default wallpaper. Not even a login screen. Just instant freeze! We've left it on for about a day now and its still frozen, any help? (Please reply ASAP, he wont stop bugging me about it)

  Its been 2 years since graduating from uni and working in a IT solutions company as a programmer. My initial year was particularly exciting when we were trying to get a fresh product up to speed. The product has now gone live and are in the maintenance phase. My current day job involves merely bug fixing and also small designing/implementing change requests and also helping resolve issues faced from clients. Slowly I feel a little 'normal' in my role. • What exactly does an installer do and why might I need one?

  this is probably the noob-question of the day: So I've written this game. Now there's the .exe file that does the work, a folder with my beautiful, beautiful assets and a bunch of .dll files and other stuff that I probably shouldn't touch. To run the game, I copy the whole lot to the desired computer, double-click the .exe file and start shooting some dudes. Yay! But what exactly is the difference between that and using an installer? What else does an installer do besides copying files and looking more professional than a .zip-file? Is there generally a lot of patching/configuring involved when trying to make a game run on a different computer? I tested my game on all windows computers I could get my greedy fingers on and it works great. Thanks for your time.

• Cannot access my own web page

  I am developing, learning and experimenting with php,html,javascript,flash and so on. Having web hosting and all of the cpanel, phpmyadmin and other utilities. One day, while updating information, connection between my computer and website just went down. I found out that it is only from this computer, where I cannot access anything. I don't know what is the reason I cannot access website, however this is what I have checked so far: Everything else opens normally, having problem only with my page. Cannot access FTP,cpanel or any kind of information related to the domain and hosting ipconfigs detects IP, but shows request timed out (so its not browser related) Turned off Firewall,AV, Rebooted computer Cleared caches,temp,cookies,histry with CCleaner Checked connectivity with both (wired,wireless) networks ISP has dynamic IP that has been changed about 3 times since issue Checked host file I am out of ideas and understanding what could cause this kind of issue, however couple minutes ago, found out that everything works with proxy server (when adding IP and port to the browsers) Can someone point out what should I check or try to get rid of this problem?
