  • issues using facebook iphone api to post image and text

    I have been trying to use the facebook iphone api to publish an image and some text from my app (i.e. using FBRequest call:@"facebook.stream.publish" with the appropriate params. I've found that the behavior is extremely erratic, as it first worked fine when I implemented it, then, completely stopped working (the request would fail and nothing would show up), and now sometimes posts only the text and most of the time posts only the image in a gallery style (returning a failure). I've read that it's something broken on Facebook's side, however, I see other people's games posting things periodically with images and text and wonder if I might be doing something fundamentally different that is much less reliable or stable. Has anyone encountered such an issue or has more familiarity with this?

  • Android SDK: Create image on touch

    Hello, I'm a bit stumped here, I'm trying to make it so an image (already in the drawable folder) gets created everytime you touch the screen and removed when the finger is lifted. I have the touch part coded already, overriding the onTouch method with a couple switch cases that handle each type of action (down, up, move, etc). But I can't for the life of me figure out how to make the image appear and then disappear with the coordinates (matrix?) of where the finger is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I have a image map set up and each area in the image map has a href defined. the href on area contains urls to other pages in my application. i generate a have a small ul which lists down name attribute of the area tag. i want the dynamically generated ul/lis to imitate click behaviour of area tag. for this, i have the following jquery set up - $('li').click(function(e){ $('area[name='+$(this).html()+']').trigger('click'); }); but the above works well only in ie6+. ff does not fire the click event. i also tried the click() variant but to no avail. looking forward for some help. In Vista, Window7 main.bmp is showing just fine. Also in English XP its ok. But why the image is not showing fully in non-English XP? How would I use .ico file here instead of .bmp? This is to make the image transparent.

    I have a form that contains this single input field, which is nothing more than a button to Print the current web page: <div align="center"> <input type="image" src="../Images/print.jpg" value="Print" onclick="printpage();" /></div> </div> After the printing, the page re-submits itself (to itself). Why does it do this and can I stop it? If I just change the type to "input", this code does not re-submit itself after printing: <div align="center"> <input type="input" src="../Images/print.jpg" value="Print" onclick="printpage();" /></div> </div> Unfortunately, our style conventions require me to use that button image rather than the standard input button.

    I want to dynamically create an image for a UITableViewCell which is basically a square with a number in it. The square has to be a colour (specified dynamically) and contains a number as text inside it. I have looked at the CGContextRef documentation, but can't seem to work out how to get the image to fill with a specified certain colour.   • Uploading CI Website

    Hi, This is the first time I’m building a website and using CodeIgniter and I was wondering whether you have any tips on uploading CI to a free web host. Can I just upload the entire CI folder? Or do I have to upload individual files (God no!)? What are my options? What about my MySQL database - do I just upload my mysqldump to the webhost? Also, can you recommend a good free webhost. I was thinking about 000webhost. Any other suggestions will be more than welcome. Thanks!

    I have a problem showing the image form database in a view Details and a ImageController. Inside the view I have: img src=Url.Action("GetFile","Image", new {id= Model.id}) and in controller: public FileContentResult GetFile(int idl) { //int idl = 32; SqlDataReader rdr; byte[] fileContent = null; ........... return File(,,); } When the view is called, function GetFile it just won't work. But if I cut out the parameter int id1 and I instantiate it as a variable it does work. public FileContentResult GetFile() { int idl = 32; SqlDataReader rdr; byte[] fileContent = null; ........... return File(,,); } Why?

  • RFC Repository of programming RFC's with ability to direct-link sections or even lines?

    Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this, I feel like the question is slightly off-topic even though it is also about programming. I am inputting todo-tasks for my WebDAV-project into my issue tracker, as I read through the relevant RFC's, and it would be nice to be able to add a link in my issue text directly to the relevant text, instead of just a link to the RFC file with a section number in the issue text, and then I have to use the find function to find it. For instance, a link like this: http://ieft.org/rfc2518.txt#1000 <-- line 1000 http://ieft.org/rfc2518.txt#9.8.3 <-- section 9.8.3 Neither of these two works, since they just post the full text files, so my question is this: Does anyone know of hosted versions of the RFC documents that contains such links?

    There's a dozen services that provide hosted version control, hosted ticket tracking, hosted project management, and combinations of all of the above, there's even hosted web-based IDEs. But nobody's yet offered a hosted continuous integration service; at least that I can find. The concept seems simple enough: I register and provide the URL to my source code repository, it grabs my code and builds it via ant/rake/whatever, then runs the suite of tests and some metrics (code coverage, performance, etc.). Is there some prohibitive barrier to entry I'm not considering?

    Hello guys, I have a hidden contact form which is deployed clicking on a button. Its fields are set as CSS background images, and they always appears a bit later than the div that have been toggled.     I'm interested in having a second web host run a copy of my website, such that if my first host goes down, the traffic routes to the second host. Is this possible? My guess would be to add additional nameservers beyond the first two. I also suspect it's doable with no-ip.com, but I'm not clear on how that works, and if they would require me to leave my first host entirely?

    Trying to get the width and height of the uploaded image while still in the model on the initial save. Any way to do this? Here's the snippet of code I've been testing with from my model. Of course it fails on "instance.photo_width". has_attached_file :photo, :styles => { :original => "634x471>", :thumb => Proc.new { |instance| ratio = instance.photo_width/instance.photo_height min_width = 142 min_height = 119 if ratio > 1 final_height = min_height final_width = final_height * ratio else final_width = min_width final_height = final_width * ratio end "#{final_width}x#{final_height}" } }, :storage => :s3, :s3_credentials => "#{RAILS_ROOT}/config/s3.yml", :path => ":attachment/:id/:style.:extension", :bucket => 'foo_bucket' So I'm basically trying to do this to get a custom thumbnail width and height based on the initial image dimensions. Any ideas?

  • Creating Thumbnails with CFImage Aborting Because of Server Load?

    I am uploading in image via a form and I want to, in addition to saving the image, save a variety of thumbnails in both png and jpg format. To do this I am using the code below. The initial image uploads fine but then, after spinning for a moment I get an error of: "Request aborted due to heavy system load." (from my host crystaltech), and none of the thumbnails have made it through. I've tried it with even just one resize (and no converts) and it still fails. What am I doing wrong?   • best practices question: How to save a collection of images and a java object in a single file? File

    Hi all, I am making a java program that has a collection of flash-card like objects. I store the objects in a jtree composed of defaultmutabletreenodes. Each node has a user object attached to it with has a few string/native data type parameters. However, i also want each of these objects to have an image (typical formats, jpg, png etc). I would like to be able to store all of this information, including the images and the tree data to the disk in a single file so the file can be transferred between users and the entire tree, including the images and parameters for each object, can be reconstructed. I had not approached a problem like this before so I was not sure what the best practices were. I found XLMEncoder (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/beans/XMLEncoder.html) to be a very effective way of storing my tree and the native data type information. However I couldn't figure out how to save the image data itself inside of the XML file, and I'm not sure it is possible since the data is binary (so restricted characters would be invalid). My next thought was to associate a hash string instead of an image within each user object, and then gzip together all of the images, with the hash strings as the names and the XMLencoded tree in the same compmressed file. That seemed really contrived though. Does anyone know a good approach for this type of issue? THanks! Thanks!

I even needed to contact to HostGator, and they restarted the apache. than it was fine for 10 mins, and same again now! I use only standard modules. list below; any advise? Appreciate helps!!   • How to create a gesture controlled rotating image for a UI

    I'm trying to figure out the best way to make an image rotate along with a user's finger dragging it left or right. I want to try and match the rate a user's finger is moving with the rate the image is rotating. I've got the basic setup for my application going, with the menus and whatnot I want to have, and that's all running great on the emulator, I'm just not sure how to approach this part. I can code all the logic I need for my app, I'm just not doing to well designing the UI, I have a picture in mind, I've actually made a couple mock images of it, I just can't figure out how to get it going in Android, and any help would be appreciated.
