• Multiple External IP Ranges on a Juniper SSG5

  I have a Juniper SSG 5 firewall in a datacenter. The first interface (eth0/0) has been assigned a static IP address and has three other addresses configured for VIP Nat. I have a static route configured at the lowest priority for 0.0.0.0/0 to my hosting company's gateway. Now I need to configure a second IP block. I have the IPs assigned to the second interface (eth0/1) which is in the same security zone and virtual router as the first. However, with this interface enabled I (a) can't initiate outbound sessions (browse the internet, ping, DNS lookup, etc) even though I can access servers behind the firewall just fine from the outside and (b) can't ping the management IP of the firewall/gateway. I've tried anything I can think of but I guess this is a little above my head. Could anyone point me in the right direction?   I'm looking for VIM replacement. My key points are: Extensible in sane language (such as Python, Ruby, or even Lua, after vimscript everything will do). Also GUI part should be extensible too, so no SublimeText2. GUI. Preferrably GTK+. Lightweight. I don't understand IDEs like Eclipse/NetBeans consuming up to 1G of RAM. File browser panel. Splits, tabs and windows. There should be ability to split views tabs infinite number of times (or while they fit to screen). VCS support (optional: especially Git) Snippets & autocompletion (not mandatory, but I would very love to have those) Any ideas?

• How do I make exchange forward email to a non-exchange mail server (postfix on mac)?

  Hi, I'm not sure what I'm doing. Exchange has been working a long time. I just installed a mac mail server postfix/dovecot. They both work but not together. If I send email directly to the new server with [email protected], I can send email to the Internet and I can receive email at the [email protected]. But, if I log onto my exchange account with OWA and I put in [email protected] I never receive it and I never get any errors back in OWA or on my mac server logs. It just disappears. On the mac, I thought that as long as I had mail running and had SMTP set to allow incoming email checked it would receive email from anywhere. How can I make my Exchange server send email to the mac box if the email doesn't exist in the exchange server? Is this where I would put a new SMTP connector and a bridgehead using DNS? Thank you for any help.

  Possible Duplicate: How to make domain point to another web directory? My boss just bought the domain: sergiotapia.me for me, and agree'd the host my Wordpress blog on company servers. We're using Apache (latest version). The domain is purchased on NameCheap.com and the DNS settings are as follows: And when I visit my URL, it's getting redirected to my VPS server without problems. The thing is, I want my blog to appears at once, not have a user select the folder and then see the blog. My Wordpress blog is located at: /var/www/sergiotapia.me On IIS, you would need to edit the Bindings and map a domain to an application. I'm guessing I have to do something similar on Apache. What am I looking for here? Any tips on getting this working correctly?

• Which Message Queue should I choose (must run on Linux)

  There are many open source Message queues for Linux, and I need some help deciding what I should go for. My problem is simple - I get sent a list of files that needs to be processed. Each job can't be split up, but they are self contained and can be spread to multiple computers. I'm thinking of solving this using a message queue. Multiple clients send a message to a central queue. Each queue has a number of subscribers that will take jobs from that queue when they have finished processing the current job. Ideally it should have the following qualities Message queue must be able to store unprocessed messages in case of a shutdown/reboot A job can only be processed by a single subscriber (don't want duplicate jobs) The subscribers should be able to send jobs of their own, that will be processed by a different set of subscribers. Can anyone suggest a simple to use message queue?

• Linux FHS: /srv vs /var ... where do I put stuff?

  My web development experience has started with Fedora and RHEL but I'm transitioning to Ubuntu. In Fedora/RHEL, the default seems to be using the /var folder while Ubuntu uses /srv. Is there any reason to use one over the other and where does the line split? (It confused me so much that until very recently, I thought /srv was /svr for server/service) My main concern deals with two types of folders default www and ftp directories specific application folders like: samba shares (possibly grouped under a smb folder) web applications (should these go in www folder, or do can I do a symlink to its own directory like "_/www/wordpress" - "/srv/wordpress") I'm looking for best practice, industry standards, and qualitative reasons for which approach is best (or at least why its favored).

• iPhone Cannot log into WiFi suddenly [closed]

  I suddenly get into this strange problem. My iPhone has been using the WiFi setup at my home for more than a year. Suddenly it cannot connect to the internet despite still having the full WiFi signal icon. Have an older iPhone 3 GS and it can still browse the net using the same WiFi. So the wireless router should be working. When I check the non-functioning iPhone, it has the "Router" and the "DNS" entries blank while the functioning iPhone has entries on both of the fields. Also the subnet Mask are different. Please help.

  Hi Got a new router yesterday (due to new internet supplier) and now all my requests for my own server (local lan) is routed directly to the router instead of the server, when using dns. Ex. I have a website www.mysite.org running on my server at home (local lan). From work I can access it via www.mysite.org, which is great. But from home (local lan) my request's for www.mysite.org gets rerouted to the routers web admin interface My last router didn't do this. My new router is a Zyxel P-2602HW-1DA, my old one was a LinkSys WRT-54GC V. 2.0. There's a rather wierd WAN-LAN, WAN-WAN setup interface which I cant really comprehend yet and the docs are rather vague. Have anyone had the same problem and can anyone guide me to a solution, would nice not write the ip address everytime i need to access the server on local lan. :). Kind regards Garrett

We will be generating file ids using a GUID - I need to keep a copy of these files on a linux web server. I plan on using subdirectories to split up the files (it's ext3)... so for example, the filename 055c102b-62fb-4671-a3c7-68b9515ec53e.swf would live in /data/files/0/5/5/055c102b-62fb-4671-a3c7-68b9515ec53e.swf (taking the first 3 characters as directory names) My question is - how to create the /data/files/?/?/?/ directories ahead of time? Where ? could be a-z or 0-9

I want b.org emails to forward to users at a.org emails . My sendmail is getting confused and is delivering all b.org emails locally instead of forwarding them to a.org (which is specified in the .forward) . • Traceroutes to every site includes nameintelligence.com

  I used domaintools.com to do a traceroute on a bunch of sites, and noticed that every single one leads to this "nameintelligence.com" site that I have never heard of. Absolutely every site, including this one, google, my own site, yahoo, microsoft.com, stackoverflow, EVERYTHING, has nameintelligence.com in the first position. What is that site, and what do they do? They're a PR 4 apparently, yet I have never heard of them. I think this would be the right place to ask, I am sorry if I am wrong. • Snow Leopard - resolving hostnames issue

  This worked in Leopard, although since Snowie came along … I have a Location setup with a DNS server to use [eg 10.0.0.17] , and a search string [eg sub.dom.ain.com] In the terminal: $ nslookup cake Server 10.0.0.17 Address: 10.0.0.17#53 Name: cake.sub.dom.ain.com Address: 10.0.0.38 So works like a charm. Although if I just the hostname cake in any other application within OSX - such as Safari/CoRD, they simply can't resolve the hostname. I have to instead use the FQDN cake.sub.dom.ain.com - why is this so? Why did this work in Leopard and is now broken? Would love a solution. Thanks

• Windows 2003 shutdown instead of reboot

  Hi all, I've got a very strange problem. On the net I can only find problems with Server 2003 pc's, that reboot instead of shutting down, but in my case... (go figure) it does the opposite. When I choose to reboot, the system shutdown. Yes I am sure I used the reboot button. It happens via start == reboot and it happens when clicking on the reboot button when the update's have been installed. Nothing changed to the system's hardware. Only update's have been installed on the system. I did notice something odd in the logs when rebooting: Description: Timed out sending notification of target device change to window of "C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE" KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924390 They talk about a removable drive, but in my case, it's explorer.exe :s it appears 4 times.   I can access my local dev site on my local pc, eg: http://mysite But I cannot access the live site, even though it works fine on other pc's: http://www.mysite.com The live site gives the error in Firefox: Server Not Found. • Error setting up Data Protection Manager 2010 Agents / Network "Unauthenticated" in network settings

  I'm not sure if the two are connected but i suspect they are. Basically I'm tring to setup Data Protection Manager 2010 on a fresh install of Server 2008 R2 in a SBS 2003 domain. Everything went fine until trying to install agents across the network. Upon clicking add, i get the following error message: Unable to connect to the Active Directory Domain Services Database. Make sure that the DPM server is a member of a domain and that the controller is running. Also verify that there is network connectivity between the DPM server and the domain controller. ID: 7 As usual (worryingly) the MSDN support for 2010 products is nearly non existant, clicking the error ID simply gives a page not found error. So after 2 days of Googling and trying various fixes (DNS settings, adding permissions to GPO objects, rejoining the domain and many more) I thought I'd ask here in the hope that someone out there may have had this issue before. Any help greatly appreciated!

• Is there a way to prevent output from backgrounded tasks from covering the command line in a shell?

  I would like to be able to run task(s) in the background of a shell and not have their output to stdout or stderr cover the command line at the bottom. Frequently I need to run other commands to interact with the background processes and would like to do so from the same shell without having to open up another terminal or using multiplexer to split the terminal like screen. Ideally there would be some setting that I just don't know about (I commonly use bash or ksh), but a new or different shell or a script would be fine by me. I'm open to any suggestions and appreciate any help, thanks.

• ADFS 2.0 and WebEx

  We have a brand new deployment going on, where our University has purchased WebEx MeetingPlace. We have the Cisco CallManager component working, but the integration with Single Sign On with ADFS 2.0 has been nothing short of torture. The biggest problem I'm working with is that we use Split-Brain DNS, and our internal domain name versus external domain name is different. Trying to determine what credentials are getting passed back and forth, certificate errors for using the self-signed certificate, etc. Does anyone have any experience with this, or something similar? Do you have any tips, or watch-out-for-this, etc.? I've not worked with a Federated Authentication system before, and this scenario is very black-box-esque. Sorry, I'm also partially ranting as I'm frustrated.

  Is there a way of adding GLUE for the Google Apps MX records. I have added them all and it works fine, but in all the DNS tools I see that there is no glue sent. I know that this is not a really big problem, because the gain you get out of it is next to zero. Nevertheless I just wanted to know if it is possible and how you do it. Or if it is not possible, what is the reason for it. I have asked this question also on the Google Help Forum but with no responses so far, so I thought i'd give it a shot here.

• Asterisk: Forcing a sip peer to connect via ipv6?

  I've got an asterisk server that connects to an upstream provider over a WAN. The upstream provider supports both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity, and the asterisk server is behind a NAT. When asterisk connects to the upstream sip peer via IPv6, everything works perfectly. The issue I have is that when I configure the asterisk server IPv6 address via DHCPv6, a race condition means that asterisk sometimes ends up attempting to contact the upstream peer via IPv4 (the SIP DNS name has both A and AAAA records). This is because asterisk starts up before the system has a valid IPv6 address. The connection does not work via IPv4 because of the NAT. Is there a way of configuring the peer to specify that it should only be contactable over IPv6? I guess it might be possible to hack together a firewall rule to deny all IPv4 traffic to that IP, but it'd be easier to configure this within asterisk itself.

• Can't ping some IP addresses in the same subnet (LAN) Windows 2011 Server

  Hi I’m running in Windows Small Server 2011 server standard (192.168.1.108), it’s my dhcp and dns server too, but suddenly all other users can’t get internet. My gateway is 192.168.1.1. After a lots of tested I can saw that my server can’t get into the router (192.168.1.1), and also into some others computers, but some other computers answer the ping command. In fact the same computer with the IP 192.168.1.9 didn't answer, but with the IP 192.168.1.63, it response! I have no routers, firewall, vlans or anything that disallow the traffic between computers, in fact when I changed the server IP address (192.168.1.109), I be able to ping the other computers and gateway, but if a back to the 192.168.1.108 the trouble comeback.   I thought I'd put together a quick script to consolidate the CSS rules I have distributed across multiple CSS files, then I can minify it. I'm new to Python but figured this would be a good exercise to try a new language. My main loop isn't parsing the CSS as I thought it would. I populate a list with selectors parsed from the CSS files to return the CSS rules in order.
