• How to copy QT folder to another folder without reinstalling it?

  I have QT installed on disc D (on Windows). And I want to move it to disc C. Is it possible to do that? If I just copy QT folder from C to D then I see lot of errors when I compile my applications that use QT. Errors are because qmake.exe contains full paths to include, bin and libs folders inside. So, when I create solution for Visual Studio 2005 using qmake - then this solution contains dependencies to old QT folder from disc D. And I found no way how to remove this dependencies without reinstalling of QT. It is not a big problem for one my single machine - I can reinstall. But I need to deliver this change then to tens and hundreds of other developers machines and I want to make it as easy as possible without need to reinstall QT.

Lua interpreater accepts file with lua-scripts, so I have prepared it and want to do: lua52 C:\1.lua for example... I have the path of some lua-script and want the interpreater of Lua to interpreate it and than get the result of program on Lua from Created process.   I am a regex newbie and can't seem to figure this one out. The entire string can only be 16 characters long. I am pretty sure I am missing something obvious here regarding the leading zeros. Tried the NTS format and running into the same sort of problems.

• Windows Mobile application icon

  Is it possible to specify the application icon for a windows mobile app from a resource file or other configuration besides the .csproj? The reason I would like to do this is because I have an application that can be configured to run in several different ways. We would like to build out three unique .cabs based on these configurations, and we would like to use a different icon for each version. One option we've considered is just running multiple builds and swapping out the icon file each time, but we were hoping there would be a way to do this using a "resource" DLL or something along those lines, that could be compiled or linked in to the main .exe.

  Hi, I have a game I am making, it is giving me this message... "An unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in game.exe" To explain...I have a 2D array with 9 different opening moves and I am getting a random number to use as the array reference to retrieve the details needed for a move... you may get the same move again - but that's illegal. the move may be illegal for other reasons too So to try and fix this, I am calling the function again from within the function. The error occurs very randomly Is this bad practise to call a function from within itself? What would be a better way to randomly row from a 2D array, AND if it isn't accept to get another one.... Or better still, how can I retrieve a random LEGAL move?

• Trouble Getting a Locally Hosted Copy of the English Language Wiktionary to include the Translations Sections

  I used MWDumper - http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Mwdumper - to import the xml dump of the English Language Wiktionary (specifically the file named enwiktionary-20120930-pages-meta-current.xml,) to my local server. I have found that under the Translations section (on each page for each English word,) next to the name of each language where I should be able to see the definition in a foreign language, I instead see Template:Tø, Template:T+, or Template:T- and I am not sure why this is. As an experiment, I also used WikiTaxi - http://www.yunqa.de/delphi/doku.php/products/wikitaxi/index - with the exact same XML dump and did not have this problem when viewing under WikiTaxi.exe. I have been searching through mediawiki.org looking for the answer, but have so far not been successful. I appreciate your help

  I have a class called MODEL in which public static int theMaxFrames resides. The class is defined in its own header file. theMaxFrames is accessed by a class within the MODEL class and by one function, void set_up(), which is also in the MODEL class. The Render.cpp source file contains a function which calls a function in the Direct3D.cpp source file which in turn calls the set_up() function through a MODEL object. This is the only connection between these two source files and theMaxFrames. • ASP.NET - remote screenshot

  Hi All, I made a very very simple small app to take screenshot of the desktop and send to network share. About 10 PC's would have this app installed. My idea is, that there will be one dashboard in ASP.NET, which simply shows those screenshots on the webpage. So far, easy stuff. But, because I don't want to clog the network and send the screenshot every 1 minute, I would like to launch the .exe on the remote PC's by demand of ASP.NET user. Unfortunately I haven't found any information (and I'm a complete ASP.NET n00b), how to launch remote executable IN the context of the remote PC (so I won't see screenshots of ASP server :) ) If there is no such possibility, please advise about other way to solve this.

• How to Get SharePoint PowerShell to use .NET 2

  I'm having a couple of problems with PowerShell. First, the PS configuration installed by SharePoint 2010 keeps popping this message: The local farm is not accessible. Cmdlets with FeatureDependencyId are not registered. I've googled that, and given everybody and their second cousin Sharepoint_Shell_Access to the config DB, with no luck. So, I wanted to try some of the PS commands. In this case, however, I'm getting a different error: Microsoft SharePoint is not supported with version 4.0.30319.17929 of the Microsoft .Net Runtime. I get that SP can't use .NET 4.0 or 4.5, but I can't find any suggestions on how to get PS to use the "right" version of .NET. I've found some references for something called PowerGUI, and changing the psgui.exe.config, but I don't have that. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to solve the .NET version problem?   Hello, is there a way (on Windows XP+) to redirect the output of a window created by a process created with e.g. CreateProcess to a window of your own program? I'd like to make a nicer GUI for ffplay.exe which is an open source video player. It is a command line tool, which opens a simple window in which it plays back the video. Can I "capture" this window and display the output in my own program somehow? Thanks for any hints you can provide.

• Application disappears after starting - C++ linking managed code dll

  Hello, we have a problem with our applications. We have recently upgraded our toolchain to Visual Studio 2010 and friends, it all works fine on Windows Vista + Windows 7 developer machines and Windows 7 customer machines. (all x86) Today we did a first installation to a client PC running Windows XP SP3 x86, and all applications linking managed code dll do not work. After starting the .exe seemingly nothing happens, no window pops up, no memory gets eaten, no task shows in task manager, nothing, nada. Event log is empty, everything is just as if the application returned to the OS right after the start. I am at loss about this, I really don't know how should I start even debugging this problem. I don't want to install VS2010 and everything onto a Windows XP box, I'd like to try something less time intensive first. This all is happening just to native C++ apps that link managed c++ DLL. Pure managed C# apps do work. Pure native C++ apps do work.

• Visaul Studio 2010, TlbImp generates .net 4.0 interops in 2.0 projects

  In a C# project we add a reference to a COM object via the Add References setup pointing to a COM object which results in the IDE auto-generating the interop assembly. So this is fine and good, but we are building based on .net 3.5 SP1 aka CLR 2.0, and the generated interops are using the 4.0 CLR making them incompatiable. Is there a way to prevent this? I assume the other option is in our build script to try using tlbimp.exe with the /references parameter? to point to mscorlib v2.0? Anyhow, I'm hoping there's a flag somewhere to allow this.

  Hello all, I have mapped a network drive to a computer in my home network. Now I am trying to access it via PHP - I did this quick test: echo opendir('Z:\\'); This gives me: Warning: opendir(Z:\) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No error in C:\wamp\www\webs\tester-function.php on line 3 What have I done wrong here? I don't want my users typing in the UNC path so is there a way to get the UNC path for them and maybe that will work when I try to access it? This is possible in Microsoft languages but I am not sure how to get PHP to do this - maybe using a cmd.exe command? Please note, the mapped drive does exist as I can see it and I can access it. It also does not appear to be a permissions problem as I am assuming it would of complained about this IF it could access that drive...right? Thanks all for any help

  Hello stackoverflow members, How can I use gtkmm with MinGW (g++) without MSYS? Here is the story of my problem: I installed MinGW offline with all required packages (full install). I installed Apache Server and I copied all .tar.gz files and I created a website called sourceforge.org [localhost] and I installed automatically MinGW on Windows XP. After, I set the PATH variables. After, I installed gtkmm for MinGW (g++). I tried to compile a simple window with gtkmm + MinGW, but it does not work. I use this command line: g++ simple.cc -o simple pkg-config gtkmm-2.4 --cflags --libs After, I installed MSYS and I can compile simple.cc with MSYS, using this command line: g++ simple.cc -o simple pkg-config gtkmm-2.4 --cflags --libs My problem: I want to compile simple.cc without MSYS. I want compile my simple.cc with cmd.exe - It's possbile? If, yes. How? Thank you for reading my message. Any help is appreciated.

• How to launch a program as as a normal user from a UAC elevated installer

  I'm writing an NSIS installer and the setup program elevates "as administrator" as needed on Windows 7 / vista. I need to run the installed program at the end of the install and don't want to launch it with the same privileges as the installer. The regular NSIS exec commands run the child process with the same permissions as the installer. There is a UAC plugin for NSIS, but the documentation on it isn't great and it seems v. new; I'd prefer not to use that plugin. Ideally, I'm looking for a small .exe I can include that'll launch the target program without UAC elevation. Does this exist? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

  I am trying to create an MSI package that uses the AppCmd application to configure IIS7. It only has to execute some commands that call AppCmd. Some commands need to be called when installing, other commands need to be called when uninstalling. I then need to check if such a file is in the /libs folder (located at the same place as my executeable!) and if it doesn't exist I have to check in the directory of the current script.   I am using Poco library and when running my program on other machines which don't have VS2005 installed, I have to install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update", otherwise the the program will give error when launching. What is this redistributable package for? Is there any way to avoid installing this but still let my program running well? Also, there're so many vcredist_x86.exe out there. How can I know which one is necessary or not when getting error? Thanks.
