    I have two tables Contact and Addresses. Addresses is the child table of Contact. When i create view for Contact. i also want to get addresses for user as many as user wants.   • How to change the pop-up position of the jQuery DatePicker control

    Any idea how to get the DatePicker to appear at the end of the associated text box instead of directly below it? What tends to happen is that the text box is towards the bottom of the page and the DatePicker shifts up to account for it and totally covers the text box. If the user wants to type the date instead of pick it, they can't. I'd rather have it appear just after the text box so it doesn't matter how it adjusts vertically. Any idea how to control the positioning? I didn't see any settings for the widget, and I haven't had any luck tweaking the CSS settings, but I could easily be missing something.

    I have a Django application with users. I have a model called "Course" with a foreign key called "teacher" to the default User model that Django provides: class Course(models.Model): ... teacher = models.ForeignKey(User, related_name='courses_taught') When I create a model form to edit information for individual courses, the possible users for the teacher field appear in this long select menu of user names. These users are ordered by ID, which is of meager use to me. How can I order these users by their last names? change the string representation of the User class to be "Firstname Lastname (username)" instead of "username"?

    Hi. I've got form for some model A, which has got few fields: tile description ... colors colors are selected from multiple select and options are ['red', 'green', 'blue', 'yellow']. User can choose colors as many as he wants. I don't think that making Color model and has_many relationship is good solution here to store colors data in model A. So question is: How to store multiple data in db for such multiple select forms?

  • django updating m2m field

    I have a model service and a ModelForm named Service which I use to add and update the service model. The model looks like this: class Service(models.Model): categories = models.ManyToManyField(Category) The categories field is displayed as a tag with that allows multiple selection. It works well when I'm adding a new record but when I'm updating it, only one service is showing up on the request.POST['categories'] even if I selected multiple categories. I tried dumping the request object and I can see that the categories is showing something like: u'categories': [u'3', u'4', u'2'] I tried calling the request._get_post() and it did return only 1 category, hence the request.POST['categories'] returns only 1. Anybody who knows what's happening and how to fix it?

    Hi, I'm bit of a newbie and had a basic question regarding adhering to the MVC model in iPhone coding. How do I setup a Model class that holds my data and connect it to different controllers in the following setup: Using Interface Builder, I created a tab controller in which - Tab #1 has a Nav Controller and a hierarchy of View Controllers. - Tab #2 has a View Controller So with what I have now, the View Controller under Tab #1 alloc init's the model class and I know how to pass the model from one ViewController to the next in the Navigation Hierarchy where it can pass the data and/or be updated with new data. Question is how to pass it from Tab #1's View Controller to Tab #2 View Controller as there is no code linking the two??? Thanks in advance, Hiren.

    I have a job to develop a website. My client wants it so that there is a header, a menu and for the content a rectangle-like box in which you can scroll the text. So that header and menu don't move but the text in the box does. Would it be bad practice to use an iframe for this?

    I have a class thats created as a resource: <Window.Resources> <Model:MyModel x:Key="model" /> </Window.Resources> The MyModel class has a cli property named Foo. I want the selected value in a combobox to be bound to this property. I thought I could do this but Im getting errors: <ComboBox SelectedItem="{Binding Source={StaticResource model.Foo}}" /> Heres the error: Cannot find resource named '{model.Foo}'. Where did I go wrong? What extra parameters do I need to specify to properly bind to a subproperty?

  • expand floating object when floating object within expands

    Hey guys, quick question, I have a link when clicked drops down a list. This list is floated to the right to position it properly. This list is in another box that has been floated. My problem is that when the list expands, the box does not and the list comes out of the container box, unless the list is not floated. However floating it seems like the only way to get it to the position I want.   • Accessing inter-schema tables and relations in hibernate

    There is a typical situation being faced where different tables are scattered through different schemas in Oracle database and they are related to each other (encompassing all different types of relations). How can they be represented in Hibernate using annotations as when a sessionfactory handle is created for one schema, tables in that schema can't access other related tables (foreign key relation to tables in other schema)? For a query like following, exception is thrown - "from table1 as model where model.table2Name.table2column = "+foo Exception comes as - org.hibernate.QueryException: could not resolve property: table2column of: com.test.table1 [from com.test.table1 as model where model.table2Name.table2column = 1] Here table1 and table2 are present in different schemas.

  • Rails ActiveRecord - How to set association save order

    I have a weird relationship that needs to be maintained for legacy processes. I'm trying to figure out how to create the relationship given the new model association. New Relationship Setup Machine has_many MachineReadings has_many Disks has_many DiskReadings Old Relationship Setup Machine has_many MachineReadings has_many DiskReadings has_many Disks The problem is data will come in on the Machine model as nested attributes using the new relationship setup. I need to update the machine_reading_id in the DiskReading model so the old association can continue to be used. I tried doing this via an after_save hook that would traverse back up to the machine and then down to the readings to get the machine_reading.id so I could populate the DiskReading model. However, the associations aren't being saved in the order I would expect. They are saving the Disks & DiskReadings before saving the MachineReadings. So when I go after the machine_reading.id it hasn't been written and thus I am unable to get access to it. For example: #machine_disk_reading.rb after_save :build_old_relationship def build_old_relationship self.machine_reading_id = self.disk.machine.readings.find_by_date_time(self.date_time).id end

  • Teacher confused about MVC?

    I have an assignment to create a game in java using MVC as a pattern. The thing is that stuff I read about MVC aren't really what the teacher is telling me. What I read is that the Model are the information objects, they are manipulated by the controllers. So in a game the controller mutates the placement of the objects and check if there is any collision etc. What my teacher told me is that I should put everything that is universal to the platform in the models and the controllers should only tell the model which input is given. That means the game loop will be in a model class, but also collision checks etc. So what I get from his story is that the View is the screen, the Controller is the unput handeler, and the Model is the rest. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    I want to make a window without the top taskbar (that is movable), so there is only thin outline around the GUI box.   • How can I keep the the logic to translate a ViewModel's values to a Where clause to apply to a linq query out of My Controller?

    This same problem keeps cropping up. I have a viewModel that doesn't have any persistent backing. It is just a ViewModel to generate a search input form. I want to build a large where clause from the values the user entered. If the Action Accepts as a parameter SearchViewModel How do I do this without passing my viewModel to my service layer? Service shouldn't know about ViewModels right? Oh and if I serialize it, then it would be a big string and the key/values would be strongly typed. SearchViewModel this is just a snippet. I run Dancers & Hostess & Model jobs website, I would like to find some script which allows the girls automaticly submit to hundreds websites forms (other 3rd part model agencies) with their similar model application form info on my website previously specified, 1).Firstly the girls will fill out my agency portfolio very detailed form , like this i will get all the model personal info from them , 2) Secondly i would like to allow for example models to submit to 100 and more other model agencies forms (I will find those websites before, and I will get their field names = values and thanks to some script would like to connect them with every girl data already created in my website to submit . I would like to implement it to my wordpress website where the girls has their portfolios instead of my pages . I would like to offer this service especially to models , it should work like some directory submitters , The script knows names - values and fill it out itself, but I want it online - browser side, where the girls should only fill out captcha if there is and click the button "submit".After succesful submit it should offer other form to submit.     hi I've created a jsp page. In that when i select 1 check-box or both check-box or none, the corresponding text-boxes and list-box must be displayed in the same page. For that i tried of calling a javascipt function when i click the checkbox. The javascript function contain code to display the textboxes. But it didn't work. Since I'm doing this project in struts, I don't know how to get check-box value. And calling of JavaScript function works. But didn't enter into jsp code in JavaScript function.

    Hi all..I have 2 dialog boxes in which I will display 1 dialogbox at a time..If I click NEXT in the first dialog box,I will hide the first dialog box and display the second dialog and vice versa...Now say If I move the dialog box after clicking NEXT in the first dialog..and when I click BACK(in the second dialog) ...it goes back to its previous position(to diaplay the first dialog box)..so I have decided to get the current window's position and update to the other window position so that it doesnt move even If I click next/back..I am not sure how to get the windows position and update to other..please help me if you guys know about this..
