• problem with generating PDF and session_start()

  Hi All, I've been using PDF class produced by R&OS successfully in a number of recent developments. I'd like to use it in a page that performs a database query before generating a PDF (it's basically a summary of the session, so I'm using session_id() as part of the query) All is fine if I run this in Firefox - not fine in IE. I think the loading of session_start() is doing something with headers that's upsetting IE as it appears unable to load the page (comment off session_start and the page loads fine). I'm getting a little concerned as, on further investigation, it appears that R&OS is not supported ... bad newbie learning experience and I really don't want to have to try adopt another class system this late in the day. Have you any thoughts as to what I could try next? Thankx G

• antlr: Best practice to integrate generated parser into the system

  Here is the background, I am trying to create a DSL to allow customer write simple scripts to query into our mongodb based database. I choose antlr to implement the DSL. From my understanding (and pls let me know if it's not correct) there are 2 approaches to integrate antlr generated parser into the system: Embed code into the grammar file so that the generated parser could be used directly to make query to the database and return result in a certain format (e.g. json encoded) Keep the parser purely a parser, after feed the DSL file to it, and construct the query in another class by retrieving the AST from generated parser class So antlrers, which one do you think is the way I as an antlr newbie should go? Can you list the pros and cos of each approach, or you have other way to recommend?

• Trying to get excel 2003 into already made windows form

  good afternoon everyone :) I got sucha dilemma! (hate being new at stuff!) What my problem is is that I have a project that is in full design mode swing right now. I built it using the Windows form.. Anyways, on one of my forms..that I already started building (very painstakingly).. Minds have changed and now what needs to be on that form is either a full excel 2003 workbook..or at the very least..excel worksheet. The problem is that I have not been using studio 2008 for long..and coding experience shows the same. Can someone please tell me how the heck I can put a worksheet or a workbook on that form without starting my whole project over using office forms? Please..go slow with this newbie cuz i really dont know anything and Jargon is confusing me even more :( thanxxXXX :)

  In the Magento Admin section, I want to override the "Sales/Order/ShipmentController.php" controller file of the core Mage. I have tried rewriting the URL, using the "from" & "to" tags, but in vain. I don't know what is the actual & correct way of doing this, as I'm a newbie in Magento. Please anybody provide some good fundamental & correct answer, so that at least the concept gets clear.   I'm a python newbie so I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before. I am building out an application in GAE and need to generate a report that contains the values for a user-defined subset of fields. For example, in my db model, CrashReport, I have the following fields: entry_type entry_date instance_id build_id crash_text machine_info I present a user with the above list as a checkbox group from which they select. Whichever fields the user selects, I then create a report showing all the values in the datastore, but only for the fields that they selected. For example, if from the above list, the user selects the build_id and crash_text fields, the output might look like this: build_id crash_text 0.8.2 blown gasket 0.8.2 boom! 0.8.1 crack! ... So the question is, how exactly do I only access the values for the fields which the user has defined?

  Hello. I'm writing a plugin to Firefox, which is basically a sidebar, that is filled with yaml-formatted information based on what user does on the page (just another web testing solution). I want to enable user to change generated text manually right in the sidebar and: Add code-folding (folding click: \n text: some text to a single line) Add highlighting of registered actions (click, fill and so on) and unregistered actions (syntax errors) How do I do that? Is placing an iframe to the sidebar and trying to do that with html/js the best solution (seen it in a similar one)? Thanks in advance EDIT: I know above code is much like plain C and surely sucks from the C++ point of view but is just I have the following situation and I was trying something before really implementing it: I have two arrays of length n but both arrays will never have an object at the same index. Hence, or I have array1[i]!=NULL or array2[i]!=NULL. This is obviously a waste of memory so I thought everything would be solved if I could have both kind of objects in a single array of length n. I am looking something like Cocoa's (Objective-C) NSArray where you don't care about the type of the object to be put in. Not knowing the type of the object is not a problem since you can use other method to get the class of a certain later. Is there something like it in c++ (preferably not third party C++ libraries) ?   Hi All, I need the snipped code in C# to mantain selected the row from a datagridview after that row is double clicked. Right now I'm displaying data from a dataset and the selection mode is FullRowSelect. Any way to set this? There are two scenarios to deal with: 1) Everytime the timer ticks the selected row always go to the first row of datagridview. 2) Once a row is clicked, it is selected but after the timer ticks the selected row goes to the first one. • Unable to locate using find element by link

  Newbie in testing. I generated a test case using Selenium, and then exported it as a Python script. Now, when I try to run that in terminal, I get following error: raise exception_class(message, screen, stacktrace) NoSuchElementException: Message: u'Unable to locate element: {"method":"link text","selector":"delete"}' I am using the command generated by Selenium i.e driver.find_element_by_link_text("delete").click() The reason for the error I believe is that the link "delete" in my web page is seen only when I click on a particular line to be deleted. So I guess it is being unable to locate the link. Please suggest what alternative measure could I use to locate and click on the "delete" link. Thanks in Advance:)

Running this query returns an error: SELECT * FROM variants v ON v.id = ovv0.variant_id INNER JOIN option_values_variants ovv1 ON v.id = ovv1.variant_id INNER JOIN option_values_variants ovv2 ON v.id = ovv2.variant_id INNER JOIN option_values_variants ovv3 ON v.id = ovv3.variant_id INNER JOIN option_values_variants ovv4 ON v.id = ovv4.variant_id WHERE v.deleted_at = NULL AND v.product_id = 1060500595 However, if I set my datetime values to 0, and set my query to v.deleted_at = 0, the correct variant is returned to me. How do I check for uninitialized/NULL datetimes?

  I am trying to get the value of base_path variable in PHP (on lamp server) . I have kept the code insider beta_test directory inside www directly. i.e, base path function should return " /beta_test/ " . But it is returning just single slash ( "/" ) . The code that I tried is <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php print base_path(); ?>sites/all/themes/people10/slider/call.js"></script> Expected output is <script type="text/javascript" src="/beta_test/sites/all/themes/people10/slider/call.js"></script> But its giving <script type="text/javascript" src="/sites/all/themes/people10/slider/call.js"></script> I am using php version 5.3.3.Can anyone please help me in getting this issue solved? I would like to have a one-off registration page for users to key-in information when they open the application for the first time.   Hello, am a newbie in ruby on rails and am stuck with a simple problem of routing. I have my controller 'sub' and the 'Views' folder containing the add,edit,new erb files. In my routes file, i have 'map.resources :subs'. Until now, everything is fine. Problem: I moved the add,edit,new erb files into a subfolder called 'admin' inside the 'Views' main directory. I have no idea how to call those erb files from that 'admin' subdir. By default, it is looking for /app/views/subs/index.html.erb, and i want it to look in /app/views/subs/admin/index.html.erb Please can anyone tell me how to do this. Many many thanks

• Why is Python 3.1.3 in the header listed as a syntax error?

  Hi, I'm a newbie programmer so I'll do my best to clearly ask my question. I'm running Python scripts in Mac 10.6.5 and now trying to write and save to a text file (following instructions in HeadsUp Python book). Whenever I hit function+F5 (as instructed) I get the same "invalid syntax" error and Idle highlights the "1" in "Python 3.1.3" of the header. Here's the header to which I'm referring: Python 3.1.3 (r313:86882M, Nov 30 2010, 09:55:56) [GCC 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5494)] on darwin Type "copyright", "credits" or "license()" for more information. Extremely frustrating. I've checked and rechecked the code but this doesn't seem to be code related because the "syntax error" is in regards to the header text that posts in every Idle/Python session. Help anyone? • Rails: What's the suggested approach to retrieve xml from an outside source

  Rails newbie (though long time programmer) here. I'm writing an test app that retrieves data from several outside sources (think Twitter, RSS feeds, etc.) and under certain circumstances, it stores that data in a db (or presents it to the user). The data model and the views are trivial. What I'm having difficulty with is making the actual xml HTTP call to the outside source and deserialize the xml response so I can query/use it in my controller/helper. What library/gem should I use to accomplish this? I tried looking this up around the net, but only came up with some article from 2006 which, knowing how fast Rails has developed, might well be completely deprecated. Your help is much appreciated.

  I am a newbie who is trying to create a Facebook app using PHP and Facebook's PHP SDK. The app is hosted on Heroku, and the sample app that they provided is working fine. However, I am now trying to get the sample app to work on Apache 2.2, and I have encountered a lot of problems along the way. Well, straight to the point, my latest problem will be trying to do Facebook login on localhost, but the 'An error occurred. Please try later' appears on the popup dialog. This does not happen on Heroku. Will someone please enlighten me on if there's any steps that I can take to overcome this error? I don't think it got to do with any coding error since I am just following the provided sample app. Thanks!

The first time i created android app project, there was an option that require me to select whether i want to create activity, and if so, i need to choose between BlankActivity and MasterDetailFlow.
