Why is Swing Parser's handleText not handling nested tags?

I need to transform some HTML text that has nested tags to decorate 'matches' with a css attribute to highlight it (like firefox search). I can't just do a simple replace (think if user searched for "img" for example), so I'm trying to just do the replace within the body text (not on tag attributes). It's like it's only going one level deep. Anyone know why? Is there some simple thing I need to do to HTMLParser (haven't used it much) to enable 'proper' behavior of nested tags? PS - I figured it out myself - see answer below. Short answer is, it works fine if you pass it HTML, not pre-escaped HTML. Doh! Dom Nodes manipulations, how remove tags which wrap my selection?

Hi, I try to explain you my "problem". I would like to know when I select a part of text, if this text is “wrapped” by html tags, and in function delete them. For example with this sentence : The car is <strong>green</strong>, and the boat is black If I select “green” and click on a button, I would like verify if green is wrapped by <strong>(for that it’s ok), and in function delete <strong> tags without delete containing “green”. Automatically use inclusion tags (?) in a template, depending on installed apps

The title may be a little confusing, but I don't know how else to call it. I would like to create a Django project with a large set of applications you could arbitrary turn on or off using INSTALLED_APPS option in settings.py (you would obviously also need to edit urls.py and run syncdb). After being turned on an app should be able to automatically: Register it's content in site-wide search. Luckily django-haystack has this built-in, so it's not a problem. Register cron jobs. django-cron does exactly that. Not a problem. Register a widget that should be displayed on the homepage. The homepage should include a list of boxes with widgets form different applications. I thought about inclusion tags, because you can put them anywhere on a page and they control both content and presentation. The problem is I don't know how to automatically get a list of inclusion tags provided by my applications, and display them one by one on a homepage. I need a way to register them somehow, and then display all registered tags.

Why would JSP tags appear in HTML source code?

I'm a front-end web developer at a company using Java on their server. As a front-end developer, I'm concerned with the HTML structure that the server produces, but I don't have control over anything our back-end team produces. Rather than ask someone on that team, I would like to gather knowledge from the Stackoverflow community so I can communicate intelligently with the back-end team. So, I am curious as to what would cause certain JSP tags to appear in the rendered HTML that is sent to the browser. We have tags in our HTML source such as: <flow:fileRef id="vfileColor" fileId="vfile.color"/> <flow:fileRef id="StyleDir" fileId="StyleDir"/> <flow:fileRef id="vfileStylesheet" fileId="vfile.stylesheet"/> I am more interested in knowing why these appear, not as much about what they do. Is there a server setting for Tomcat/Apache/etc. that would hide these tags from the browser? Any information would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Unable to get HTTPS MEX endpoint to work

I have been trying to configure WCF to work with Azure ACS. This WCF configuration has 2 bugs: It does not publish MEX end point. It does not invoke custom behaviour extension. There is more code involved for checking token validation, but in my opinion at least MEX should get published and CreateBehavior() should get invoked in order for me to proceed further.

SQL SERVER – The Story of a Lesser Known Startup Parameter in SQL Server – Guest Post by Balmukund Lakhani

This is a fantastic blog post from my dear friend Balmukund ( blog | twitter | facebook ). He had presented a fantastic session in our last UG and there were lots of requests from attendees that he blogs about it. Well, here is the blog post about the same very popular UG session. Let us read the entire blog post in the voice of the Balmukund himself. During my last session in SQL Bangalore User Group (Facebook) meeting, I was lucky enough to deliver a session on SQL Server Startup issue. The name of the session was “SQL Engine Starting Trouble – How to start?” From the feedback, I realized that one of the “not well known” startup parameter is “-m”. Okay, you might say “I know that this is used to start the SQL in single user mode”. But what you might not know is that you can pass a string with -m which has special meaning and use. I have used this parameter in my blog here but looks like not many of you have seen that. It happens most of the time when we want to start SQL Server in single user mode, someone else makes connection before you can. The only choice you have is to repeat same process again till you succeed. Some smart DBAs may disable the remote network protocols (TCP/IP and Named Pipes) of SQL Instance and allow only local connections to SQL. Once the activity is complete, our dear smart DBA has to remember to re-enable network protocols. Sometimes, it may be a local service or application getting connection to SQL before we can. There is a better way to deal with it. Yes, you have guessed it correctly: -m parameter which a string. Since I work with SQL Product Support team, I may know little more undocumented commands and parameters, but this is not an undocumented stuff. It’s already documented in books online. So in this blog, I am going to show a demo of its usage. As documentation shows, “Do not use this option as a security feature.” So please read this blog as knowledge enhancer and troubleshooting issues not security feature. In my laptop, I have a default instance of SQL Server 2012 and here is what we would in the configuration manager. Now, I would go ahead and stop SQL Service by selecting SQL Server (MSSQLServer) > Right Click > Stop. There are multiple ways to start SQL with startup parameter. 1) Use Net Start Command from command prompt Net Start MSSQLServer /mSQLCMD The above command is the simplest way to add startup parameter to SQL. This parameter would be cleared once we stop and start SQL. 2) Add Startup Parameter via configuration manager. Step is already listed here. We need to add -mSQLCMD If we compare 1 and 2, it’s clear that unless we modify startup parameter and remove -m, it would be in effect. 3) Start SQL Service via command line SQLServr.exe –mSQLCMD –s<InstanceName> Wait, what does SQLCMD mean with /m? It’s the instruction to SQL that start SQL Server in Single User Mode and allow only the application which is SQLCMD. Any other application would fail with Login Failed for User Error message. It would be important to note that string is case sensitive. This value should be picked up from application_name column from sys.dm_exec_sessions. I have made a connection using SQLCMD and as we can see it comes as upper case “SQLCMD”. If we want only management studio query windows to connect then we need to give -m” Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio – Query” as startup parameter. In below example, I have given it as SQLCMd (lower case d at the end) and we would notice that we would not be able to connect to SQL Instance. Above proves that parameter works as expected and it’s case sensitive. Error Log would show below information. How to get error log location? I have already blogged about it. I have custom ListView with three TextView three Button and three Chronometer. And the situation is I am loading the ListView properly.But while loading ListView I am disabling some button in the ListView by checking one parameter. Up to this point ListView is showing it's row properly. But when I am scrolling the ListView at that time previously enabled Button are getting disabled.What I am doing wrong I am not getting can one please point out my mistake Or any suggestion. Using custom DataContractResolver in WCF, to transport inheritance trees involving generics

I've got a WCF service, in which there are operations which accept a non-generic base class as parameter. [DataContract] class Foo { ... } This base class is in turn inherited, by such generics classes as [DataContract] class Bar : Foo { ... } To get this to work, I'd previously have to register KnownTypes for the Foo class, and have these include all possible variations of Bar (such as Bar, Bar and even Bar). With the DataContractResolver in .NET 4, however, I should be able to build a resolver which properly stores (and restores) the classes. My questions: Are DataContractResolvers typically only used on the service side, and not by the client? If so, how would that be useful in this scenario? Am I wrong to write a DataContractResolver which serializes the fully qualified type name of a generic type, such as Bar1[List1[string, mscorlib], mscorlib] ? Couldn't the same DataContractResolver on the client side restore these types?

Hi experts, I'm having problem with jqGrid delete mechanism as it only send "oper" and "id" parameters in form of POST data (id is the primary key of the table). The problem is, I need to delete a row based on the id and another column value, let's say user_id. How to add this user_id to the POST data??? I can summarize the issue as the following: How to get the cell value (user_id) of the selected row? AND, how to add that user_id to the POST data so it can be retrieved from the code behind where the actual delete process takes place. Programmatically creating scrollview(s) from custom component in android

I'm trying to build a compound control in Android, containing (among other things) a ScrollView. Things go wrong when I try to view the control in Eclipse, crashing with a NullPointerException after the error message: "Parser is not a BridgeXmlBlockParser". Stacktrace: java.lang.NullPointerException at android.view.View.<init>(View.java:1720) at android.view.ViewGroup.<init>(ViewGroup.java:277) at android.widget.FrameLayout.<init>(FrameLayout.java:83) at android.widget.ScrollView.<init>(ScrollView.java:128) at android.widget.ScrollView.<init>(ScrollView.java:124) at android.widget.ScrollView.<init>(ScrollView.java:120) at my.compound.control.StringPicker.onMeasure(StringPicker.java:46) ... I've traced the error to the following conditions: The NPE is thrown because a Context.obtainStyledAttributes() call returns null when the attrs argument passed is null. This only applies to the BridgeContext implementation used in Eclipse, which expects attrs to be an instance of the BridgeXmlBlockParser. The attrs argument is null because I create the ScrollView using the (Context) constructor. There is a workaround of course, which is passing the attrs I receive when Eclipse constructs the compound control, but I don't want all the attributes set on the compound control to apply to my inner control. Am I doing something wrong, is this a bug in Android Eclipse, ...?

Custom CheckBox in WPF DataGrid does not update binding

In my Visual Studio 2010 WPF application, I have the following (simplified) style: <Style x:Key="MyStyle" TargetType="{x:Type CheckBox}"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="Blue" /> </Style> If I use it as the ElementStyle AND EditingElementStyle in my DataGridCheckBoxColumn: <DataGridCheckBoxColumn Binding="{Binding IsEnabled}" ElementStyle="{StaticResource MyStyle}" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource MyStyle}" /> Then my binding, IsEnabled, does not toggle when I check/uncheck a row's checkbox. If I remove either ElementStyle, EditingElementStyle, or both, then the binding updates no problem. Why is this?! How to display custom view in UIActionSheet?

I have a UIView with a date picker that I'd like to display in an action sheet. If I comment the two middle lines of code and uncomment the top part to display a regular action sheet, it works fine. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Add php element to custom page in Wordpress

I'm trying to customize a wordpress page to include an iframe which give the users a link to there download. We're using wordpress 2.9.2 with the Thesis theme 1.51. I've been trying to use thesis hooks but appears that the php is stripped from the output. Help? Suggested alternatives? Android ListView with Custom List Selector causing Flickring problem

I'm setting a selector.xml to the ListView Selector : <item android:state_focused="false" android:state_selected="true" android:state_pressed="true" android:drawable="@drawable/timeline_selected_rect"/> <item android:state_focused="false" android:state_selected="true" android:state_pressed="false" android:drawable="@drawable/timeline_selected_rect"/> <item android:state_focused="true" android:state_selected="true" android:state_pressed="true" android:drawable="@drawable/timeline_selected_rect"/> but setting this is causing the TextView flickr over selection. this thing is not happening when the Default selector is used... whats wrong with this selector. I have even added android:cacheColorHint="#00000000" as provided info by some other blogs.
