• Why wouldn't I want to run Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise x64 instead of Windows 7 Ultimate x64?

  I'm currently running Windows 7 RC and I'm ready to pave and reinstall on my laptop. Are there features in Windows 7 I won't have access to if I install Server 2008 R2?   Hello, I had to run AVG to clear a virus but now when I start my laptop it gives a message of This application has failed to start because of BHO.DLL was not found.   It's easy to share your Internet with AirPort by checking "Internet Sharing" in the system preferences, but this option asumes you want to create a new wireless network. Is there an easy way to configure Internet sharing if you want to use an already existing network? I want my laptop to use the existing wireless AP and share its internet to other clients within this network. Tried manually running natd -interface ppp0 without luck

  Hi I've just build a 64bit Windows 7 PC but am unhappy with the piddly performance of the linksys USB wireless dingle I've used. Can anyone suggest a good PCIe alternative that will be stronger for connection and maybe faster. I dont see why my desktop should show a weaker performance on wireless than my laptop when its sat next to it or even my Palm Pre for that matter. any thoughts? I installed PES 2012, when I checked the system specification (an option in that PES 2012 game ). I came to know that game runs with Intel HD4000 Graphics and not with my AMD card. I also changed the swithchable graphics and assigned High Performance to PES2012, but the game still runs on Intel HD4000.

If I log into guest account and search my name it shows an error that i don't have permission.   I have a laptop with a LAMP setup. The HDD is slow, which causes my unit tests to run slowly. I was wondering whether I could mount the web root the mysql database on some kind of ramdisk. From what I have read of ramdisks, they are non-persistent. Is there anyway to create a ramdisk that writes changes to an area of the hdd when shutting down and re-mounts the ramdisk on bootup?

  I remember that about two or three years ago, there was an application that ran on OS X (panther for sure) that you could install on a laptop next to your bed and it will analyze your sleeping patterns, noise, movement, etc. All through the cam/mic.   I work with Windows 8.1 and today I installed Ubuntu 14.04 alongside it, but now I can't set the boot menu to display both OS. When I boot the system it normally loads Windows 8.1 without opening the boot menu. I created a boot USB with Yumi. When booting with Yumi and selecting "boot from hard disk", Ubuntu turned on.   Is it possible to install 2 linux distros into 1 root, so they share same uuid and guid, configs and packages + same user /home folder ? For example: I have Ubuntu and Windows 7 already in dual boot on my laptop. Could I install Arch's base, base-devel and kernel, so it won't conflict with Ubuntu on the same root folder? P.S I don't feel like repartitioning my drive again, 'cause there's very complicated hierarchy, which occupies the entire disk. =)

• Is it possible to change the look and feel of remote X applications running under Xming?

  I have several external hard disks with different brands. Each time I connect those hard disk to my laptop (with USB), there is no option for Safely Remove Hardware / Eject.
