• Low delay audio on Android via NDK

  Hi, it seems that this question has been asked before, I just would like to know whether there is an update in Android. I plan to write an audio application involving low delay audio I/O (appr. < 10 ms). It seems not to be possible based on the methods proposed by the SDK, hence is there - in the meantime - a way to achieve this goal using the NDK? Best regards, HK

• Undefined function in php

  I wrote three methods in a class and one is calling another, but when I call the function outside through the object, it is showing an undefined function error for the second function.   Given that my class looks like this: class Methods{ function a(){ return 'a'; } function b(){ $this->a(); } function c(){ $this->a(); } } Is it possible to ensure that function a can only be called from function b? In the above example function c should fail. I could just include it in function b, but in the future I may want to let a() be called by some new functions (e.g. d() or e())

  Hi, I am looking for ideas for how I can stop external scripts connecting with my site. I'm looking for the same kind of idea behind Google. As in if a certain amount of requests are made per a certain amount of time then block the IP address or something. I thought there maybe a htaccess solution if not, I will write a PHP one.   While working in Java, I find it hard to position my Main application window in the very center of the screen when I start the application. Is there any way I can do that? I tried with some of the predefined methods but none worked. BTW it doesn't have to be vertically centered, horizontal alignment is the more important goal for me. This is really handy for achieving thread safety using types of objects that don't guarantee thread-safe instance methods (e.g., System.Random). It only works for static members, though. Is there any straightforward way to declare a class member as thread-local, meaning, each class instance gets an object per thread?

• Adding procedural C openGL functions to an iPhone project

  I want to add a few drawing functions to an iPhone project for drawing things. Something like drawTile(x,y,len,wid); which would call openGL to draw a box somewhere. I should just be able to write a procedural C file to do this but the openGL libraries are objective C and I'm getting weird errors. Do I have to make a class for all of my drawing commands and call class methods?
