  • One iPhone, two developer machines

    Hi all, I switch between my iMac and MacBook when working on my apps. I've always used my iMac to test the apps on the actual device, but I would like to be able to do this from both computers. I cannot seem to use the profile on my MacBook as it does not have the correct Certificate Signing Request in the KeyChain. Is there a way to copy these between machines and KeyChains? :)

  • How to count toggled buttons in jqueryui after a click event.

    I need to count how many buttons are toggled using the jqueryui checkbox button option - .buttonset(). This needs to happen when a button is toggled. I added a unique class to the labels before applying the button set and have set a click event on it. It fires fine, however it is firing before the jqueryui has processed the click so the result is out of date.     In my application I have users that are able to be friends with other users. This is controlled with a users table and a friends_users table. The friends_users table has the following columns: id, user_id, friend_id, status And the model User looks like: public $hasAndBelongsToMany = array( 'Friend'=>array( 'className' => 'User', 'joinTable' => 'friends_users', 'foreignKey' => 'user_id', 'associationForeignKey' => 'friend_id' ) ); This seems to work fine when viewing the Users for a user who is in the user_id column, but doesn't work the other way around, i.e. in reverse... Any ideas why?   • Are there any standard one-click install/lauch mechanisms for the web?

    The reason I ask is mostly due to how Google Chrome installation works once you click the "Accept and install" button from Firefox. After you click the installation is started directly and when it's completed Chrome itself starts up. Firefox does not show any "Save" or "Confirm" dialogs after you click the Install button (on Chrome install web page). Now, is this standard behaviour? Or might it be due to having an old version of Chrome already on the computer (Note: The new version was still installed from Firefox). Seems a bit risky to me, all you have to do is fool the user to click something and then you can do whatever you want on his machine, or? Personally I thought things like this only worked with IE/ActiveX.

  • How to set a static system date for one user or application--"Groundhog Day"

    I have a vendor application on AIX which requires the system date to be set to an arbitrary value for QA testing purposes. The application gets its date from the system, and there is no possibility of changing it to get the date from a parameter. The application runs under a specific userid. I'd like to find a way to set the date for this application or user to a private value without affecting all the other users and applications on the system. So far the only thing I have been able to do is dedicate an LPAR to this application. Every day at midnight a root crontab job resets the date to the static value. This works, but it is wasteful of resources; and now I am faced the requirement to do this for other applications, which, of course, require different dates. Is there any clever solution to this? I need a way to create a sandboxed environment where the date returned from the system can be set to a private value. As I said, the OS is AIX, and that can't be changed for this application either.

  • How to tell if a user updated my app or installed a new one

    I need a way to tell if the app being used by a user is a fresh new install (new user), or was a pre-existing user who updated. The previous app version did not track UDID's, and didn't save anything (it just ran as a simple app). Is there a way for an update to tell if the user previously installed the app? Even if that app didn't save anything into the documents folder, and the app didnt communicate with a server (UDID post)? (id like to be able to offer bonus features to my existing loyal users who had already installed the original app and updated) thanks!!

    I have a table that stores a bunch of diagnosis for a single plan. When the users create a new plan I need to copy over all existing diagnosis's as well. I had thought to try the below but this is obviously not correct. I am guessing that I will need to loop through my oldDiagnosis part, but how? Thanks!   • push_back private vectors with 2 methods, one isn't working

    I have a class with a private vector of doubles. To access or modify these values, at first I used methods such as void classA::pushVector(double i) { this->vector.push_back(i); } double classA::getVector(int i) { return vector[i]; } This worked for a while until I found I would have to overload a lot of operators for what I needed, so I tried to change it to get and set the vector directly instead of the values, i.e. void classA::setVector(vector<double> vector) { this->vector = vector; } vector<double> classA::getVector() { return vector; } Now, say there is a classB, which has a private classA element, which also has get and set methods to read and write. The problem was when I tried to push back a value to the end vector in classA. void classB::setFirstValue(double first) { this->getClassA().getVector().push_back(first); } This does absolutely nothing to the vector. It remains unchanged and I can't figure out why... Any ideas?

It never occurs on ActiveCell.Validation.Delete which I find weird? I have been all over google trying to find a solution, and most suggest that it is caused by running dynamic validation code from a button which hogs focus despite the Activate call, but I am running on sheet change event rather than on button press so I don't think this is my issue - any ideas? I've wasted basically a whole day on this! :(

I want to compile my code, link it against a few static libraries and then combine my compiled code with those static libraries to form a new static library. However, my Google Fu is abandoning me.
