  • URL breaking at special character

    Hello All- I'm having trouble with a URL string in my Web Application. It's using a UNC path similar to \\houtestmachine\common\File1.pdf My problem is when it encounters files that have a # character. I tried doing a string newstring = originalstring.Replace("#", "%23"); but the # is still there in URL (target of a hyperlink) at runtime in the browser. How can I fix this?

I want to get a subject, and get its related past questions of a particular year. I was thinking of fetching a subject and getting its related past question. Currently am implementing my code such that I rather get the past question whose subject and year correspond to any specified subject like this_subject=Subject.objects.get(name=the_subject) thepastQ=Pastquestion.objects.get(year=2000,subject=this_subject) I was thinking there is a better way to do this. Or is this already a better way? Please Do tell ?

How can i make a way faster scanner that wont get stuck if the port is close.MultiThreading ? Thanks !

I want to replace this long running script with a program, probably in JAVA, C, or COBOl, that can run on windows or on sun solaris. I have to read a group of records everytime, sort and process and write to the output sort file and at the same time insert into db2/sql tables.

    I've been studying magic methods in Python, and have been wondering if there's a way to outline the specific action of: a = MyClass(*params).method() versus: MyClass(*params).method() In the sense that, perhaps, I may want to return a list that has been split on the '\n' character, versus dumping the raw list into the variable a that keeps the '\n' intact. Is there a way to ask Python if its next action is about to return a value to a variable, and change action, if that's the case?   • How can I automatically refactor my classes to use the default namespace for the folder they're in?

That is, the default namespace for the project, plus each of the folders in the hierarchy. It's not as simple as just find + replace, since I've both added and renamed some folders, and files from some namespaces were split into multiple other namespaces. I'm using VS 2010.

    I have string like this: "Some standard text CONST_INSIDE_QUOTES" blah blah CONST "There might be another quotes" The thing is, that i want to replace all constants in string with some text, but it mustn't be applied on constants inside text in quotes. I have this regex: sed "s/([A-Z][A-Z0-9_]*)([^a-z])/<span class=\"const\"\1<\/span\2/g" which of course works for all consts. Any ideas how to exclude its apply on quotes constants? I'm using str_replace like this: str_replace("’", '\u1234', $string); It looks like I cannot figure out what character the quote really is.     I'm trying to parse an HTML file and get all href's inside it. So far, the code I'm using is: (map #(println (str "Match: " %)) (re-find #"(?sm)href=\"([a-zA-Z.:/]+)\"" str_response)) str_response being the string with the HTML code inside it. According to my basic understanding of Clojure, that code should print a list of matches, but so far, no luck. It doens't crash, but it doens't match anything either. I've tried using re-seq instead of re-find, but with no luck. Any help? Thanks!

    I'm trying to take a regular text file and remove words identified in a separate file (stopwords) containing the words to be removed separated by carriage returns ("\n"). Right now I'm converting both files into lists so that the elements of each list can be compared. I got this function to work, but it doesn't remove all of the words I have specified in the stopwords file.
