• iphone - how to mentain the state of UIWebView ?

  Hi, i am having a UIWebView showing and HTML page that has some checkboxes, radio buttons. My Application has tabbar controller that switches b/w two controllers. How i can maintain the current state of UIWebView. ( e.g. i have selected a checkbox and i change the tab and go to other ViewController and again come back to UIWebView. the WebView resets itself and goes to the start... i want to maintain the state of UIWebView ( all the checkboxes clicked) .. how i will do that ?? any idea ?? thanks in advance

• how to deploy wcf-service on iis 6.0

  I have IIS 6.0 on Windows Server 2003. I installed .Net 3.5 and 4 beta 2. "Normal" asp things are working (perfect). But when I try to navigate to my service (/myServer/MyService.svc) I got a 404. Page not found. To be exact, I got a 404 2 "Web service extension lockdown policy prevents this request." I used ServiceModelReg.exe /ia to make sure that the extension I known and I checked the configuration using: admin-Tools, iis, home-tab, configuration, executable-box, and there: extension: .svc, path: c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v4.0.210... verbs: all verbs So everything seems ok. But I still get a 404-2

• Perl: parsing string enclosed by double quotes

  I need to parse tab/space delimited files that have a lot of columns in Perl. The values are such that the there are large strings enclosed within double quotes. These strings can have any characters such as tabs and spaces or anything else. When I try to parse them with the split function it splits these strings as well. Now how can I make perl understand that the strings within the " " are a single column entry? A simple example is, 12 345546.67677 "Hello World!!!" -567.55656 0.5465767 "Hello_Again; "

• Coda Clips for Vim

  I'm currently trying to switch from Coda (a Mac IDE) to Vim. One thing I loved about Coda and my knowledge of Vim cannot replace were the so-called "clips". Basically, you type, say, "new", press TAB, and the text is replaced with a basic XHTML page. And you can add as many keyword/clips combinations as you want. The most I could get with Vim so far was to create a new file containing my clip, and then use :r FILE in Vim in order to get it inserted, but this is not a very elegant solution, as I'd have to carry these clips around in every directory I have a file I want to use my clips with. So assuming I've explained things properly, what would be my choices?

  Hi I'd like to find a component that help me to build input forms in asp MVC. I find that ther are many components (grid, tree, tab...) but not a "Form component". I know that i can use the HTML HELPER (.labelfor(.. .inputTextFor(... ) ..but i don't like to write the html tags around the fields and labels ( ... ) I want that all the form in my application look similar and, if a change is needed i want to make it in one place ( ex in the "FormComponentFactory()" for example ) I created my own FormComponent but i find myself reinvent the wheel..

• Select no tabs in a UITabBar

  Hi, I'm trying to select no tabs at all in my application. At first the first tab is selected, but I'd like to deselect it so no tabs at all would be selected. Don't ask me why, it's just that way the client wants it! hehe Thanks for your help! • How to know preferred icon size for MenuItem?

  Hi folks, I my application I have one large PNG file containg hi-res image. Depending on situation I would like to use this image either as icon or as placeholder for ImageView. For MenuItem this image is too large, so I need to scale-down it to suitable size. I mean if it has to be displayed on large enough device like Samsung Galaxy Tab - I need to use one scale, for in small ones another, etc. I just noticed that for small-sized devices MenuItem icon is not scaled just cut - which is ugly. So the question is how should detect which is preferred size?

• HTML character reference display problems.

  Hey folks, I'm currently developing a site in Joomla, and one of the components I'm using makes use of a PHP file to administer the language. (english.php, spanish.php) The problem I'm having is that if I use the plain text version of eg. "á", it will show up in the browser tab title ok, but as a ? in the body of the page.   I just validated my actual XHTML Strict 1.0 doc with the w3c validator service.. and it says that, <ul id="socialnetwork"> <li><a href="http://www.twitter.com" target="_blank"></a></li> <li><a href="http://www.flickr.com" target="_blank"></a></li> <li><a href="http://www.xing.com" target="_blank"></a></li> <li><a href="http://www.rss.com" target="_blank"></a></li> </ul> the target="_blank" is not valid.. but I need the target blank so a new tab will open in the browser, so that the user does not leave the main page. What can I do? Why is this not valid?

  Hi, I have an SSRS report , Oracle is my backend and am using this following query for dataset of my second parameter. select distinct X from v_stf_sec_user_staffing_center usc where usc.center_group_id in ( select distinct center_group_id from V_T_STAFFING_CENTER_GROUP scg where INSTR(','||REPLACE(:PI_REGION_LIST,' ')||',', ','||scg.group_abbreviation||',') 0) and usc.nt_user_name=:PI_NT_USER_NAME Here PI_REGION_LIST is a multivalued parameter of string type. and PI_NT_USER_NAME is a default string valued parameter this query works fine when i try to execute in manulally in the Data tab , also in the Oracle tool. But when i run the report in SSRS and select more than 3 values for the parameter PI_REGION_LIST the report throws an error on this dataset, ora-00939 error,too many arguments for function. I am not able to figure out the error here. Please help me with an idea. Thanks in advance, Suni.

For performing such things we need to setup the seperate fish eye server.If that is the case why we have the fish eye option in jenkins.We can perform all these activities in Fisheye instead of Jenkins. • "a valid provisioning file for this executable was not found" in XCode

  I'm trying to submit my second app to the App Store. I've followed all the instructions to the best of my knowledge, but I keep getting this error when I try to build and run: "a valid provisioning file for this executable was not found" I'm letting XCode auto select the profile automatically. The one I'd like to select is greyed out. But the dropdown selection in the Build tab of the Target window says "profile doesn't match application identifier" The other thing I don't get about this is that the selection dropdown shows "com.mycompany.myapp" and then "ABCDEDFG.com.mycompany.myapp" (both of those made up) so that I see they don't match. I have the unique identifier profile installed in the Organizer and in plist file. I'm totally confused. I have followed the instructions in my book a few times and just can't get it.

• Resharper Autocomplete Issue

  Hi All, I've been using resharper with the resharper automplete off (just find VS better for my purposes currently), but despite trying every setting I've tried, whenever I use a resharper template (such as tab-completing an if - if block), the resharper autocomplete dialog comes up in addition to the visual studio dialog (thus if they don't autocomplete to the same thing, or I accidentally hit enter, whatever I originally typed is replaced with the wrong resharper suggestion, effectively highlighting why I turned it off in the first place). A. Has anyone every seen this before? (I ask since I might have turned on/off a number of settings in a strange/incompatible way and perhaps a clean install might clear it up.) B. Any suggestions? :) (Visual Studio 08 SP1, Resharper 4.5.2 - only other tools installed are DevExpress, but they have long since been disabled) Thanks all!

• Why would an ASP.NET site become veeeeeery slow after the network connection dropped?

  I have an ASP.NET 3.5 site published in IIS 7.5 on Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit. The pages are accessed over SSL One of our testers has determined that if, during a postback, he blocks network access on his PC, and then after a few seconds reconnects, our site becomes excruciatingly slow. Like 30 seconds per page load. If he hits the refresh button in his browser it stays slow. If he closes the tab, then re-opens it, it becomes fast again. This behavior happens with both IE 8 and the latest firefox. There are no event log entries on the server when this happens My question: - Has anyone seen this same behavior? - Does anyone have a theory as to what causes it?

  When using Get Info on movie files in the Finder, I've noticed that many movie files have an accessible "Duration" property under the More Info tab. Is there an easy way to access this data using Applescript? I've tried lines like "set theTime to (duration of aFile)", but it doesn't seem to be as simple as that. Ideally I'd like to access the movie duration via the Finder properties without having to actually open the file in QuickTime. Is this possible?   Hi folks, I must say that despite this being a newb question, I don't think I have totally mastered HTML a tags. Whenever I want to open a link in a new tab I add target="_blank", works fine in chrome and firefox. Not in IE7-8. I think the behaviour might have something to do with the DOCTYPE, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm currently using HTML 4.01 Strict. Right now what I am trying to understand is: How to open links in new tabs in IE7-8 How to open links within small windows Help would be very much appreciated! :)

• How to make a link open in tabbed or new window without target attribute?

  In my application an external website places link in my web page and the link does not have target=_blank. More specifically its iframe in my webpage whose src is another domain which I have no control. The content in this iframe contains links that opens in the same window wiping off my ajax driven web page and taking the user to the other domain. Is there a way to intercept this ( via javascript? ) and make the link open in another window or browser tab? It would be even much better if the link opens within the same iframe on my webpage. Is this possible? Is target="_self" makes the link open in the same iframe?

• Can't see or add Website Data Sources in RDLC report in ASP.NET MVC

  In the RDLC report, in Design view in Visual Studio 2008, we don't see anything in the Website Data Sources tab and the button to Add New Data Source is grayed out. Only the Refresh button is enabled, and clicking it doesn't do anything. Our business logic layer returns Lists of business objects and the business logic and business object projects are both referenced by the MVC project. This is an MVC app, so there is no App_Code folder. How do we get our business objects to appear in the Website Data Sources list so we can drag and drop fields from the object onto our RDLC report?

  I want to have a link in the popup.html file for my extension that loads another file (which will be included with the extension) how can I do this? or will I need to keep it in the same page? I tried using this code: <a href="/mail.html"> <img id="newmail_icon" src="" width="16" height="16" /> <span id="newmail">loading</span><br /> </a> But when I click the link nothing happens. I just found out that adding target="_blank" to the link will make it work and open in a new tab, but I can't get it to open in the popup. I have tried target="_self" but it didn't do anything.

  Hi, I am trying to publish to a users stream when they click a share button in my flash app that i have living in a tab on a fan fan. I basically have my swf embedded on a page that has a java script function that calls the facebook share dialogue.
