• Python: concatenate generator and item

  I have a generator (numbers) and a value (number). I would like to iterate over these as if they were one sequence: i for i in tuple(my_generator) + (my_value,) The problem is, as far as I undestand, this creates 3 tuples only to immediately discard them and also copies items in "my_generator" once. Better approch would be: def con(seq, item): for i in seq: yield seq yield item i for i in con(my_generator, my_value) But I was wondering whether it is possible to do it without that function definition

• iOS - Open certain view controller with URL scheme

  I'm playing around with URL schemes in my app. I easily made one to open my app, just adding the necessary items to info.plist. This current URL "myappname://" takes the user to the initial view controller, FirstTableViewController, but I was wondering if it would be possible to modify that URL scheme so it I can have one that takes the user to a certain view controller, such as ThirdTableViewController. I would use this as a handy feature in something like Launch Center.

  I have following question : If setup of some application A was interrupted , and name of it does not appear in Add| Remove program list .I tryed to use Windows Installer CleanUp Utility of Microsoft but if the item does not appear in Add | Remove , the Utility cannot be used .   I execute a core data fetch which specifies a predicate as follows: NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"identifier IN %@", favoritesIDs]; When there are duplicate items in the favoriteIDs array, the fetch request only returns 1 managed object. How can I ensure that more than one instance is fetched? Thank you.

• Passing around a SqlConnection

  I have created a TransactionScope and within the scope various items are created and updated in the database. During this process I make a lot of calls to the database. Originally I opened a SqlConnection in the beginning of the TransactionScope and passed it around to any function that made a DB call then I closed the connection after all the calls are made and before the transaction commits. Is it better to do this or to open and close a connection for each call?

I can code my own cache, however, IE already has a caching system. I can find code to read entries out of the IE cache, however I've found nothing dealing with the issue of adding items to the cache. Is there a good way to do it, or should I just implement a separate cache?

I then checked .RData and found that it had not been modified in a few weeks even though I repeatedly saved the workspace image. How often is .RData updated and how can I change when .RData is updated so that it reflects more recent changes?
