  I have an ArrayAdapter wrapped around an ArrayList of custom objects. I'd like to write a custom filter for that adapter so that when I call getListAdapter().getFilter().filter("abc") the list will get filtered by an arbitrary transformation of "abc". I thought I would just try to override ArrayAdapter.getFilter(), but that requires I re-implement the private ArrayAdapter.ArrayFilter which requires access to a bunch of ArrayAdapter's private instances. What's the simplest way to do this?

• Adding button to jqGrid top toolbar

  Looks like the default toolbar for jqGrid is always at the bottom. Buttons like Next/Prev page and the dropdown to select the number of rows per page will always show at the bottom of the grid. I found a way to add a custom top toolbar and push custom buttons into it. What a really need is a way to add default functionality (like paging) to the top of the grid, instead the bottom.

  Hi, I've a window that will have an unknown amount of text fields, determined by the content of a remote server. In high level terms, how should I go about this? Create a custom view or create an empty window with a backing NSWindowController and then add stuff to it when the window is opened? I've seen the examples on the O'Reilly Cocoa book and those effectively create a custom NSView. Is this the right way to do it, 8 year later?

• Setting freemarker template from classpath

  I have a web application that I need to manually obtain a Freemarker template - the template is obtained via a class in a library project, but the actual tpl file is contained in the web application classpath. So, there are 2 projects, one 'taac-backend-api' and another 'taac-web'; taac-backend-api has the code to grab the template, and process it, but taac-web is where the template is stores (specifically in: WEB-INF/classes/email/vendor.tpl) - I have tried everything from using springs classpath resource to using Freemarkers setClassForTemplateLoading method. I assume this would work: freemarkerConfiguration = new Configuration(); freemarkerConfiguration.setClassForTemplateLoading(this.getClass(), ""); Template freemarkerTemplate = freemarkerConfiguration.getTemplate("/email/vendor.tpl"); yet, I always get a FileNotFoundException. Can someone explain the best way to obtain a template from the classpath? Thanks.

  Does anyone know an Actionscript equivalent of the javascript getElementsByClassName. What I would like to do is add a custom 'stylename' to various components which I can then use to get a collection of these objects and therefore process their visibility property. The idea is I want to hide various components based on what roles a logged in user has - I just want to make this flexible by adding an array of rolenames to a custom property or use the stylename property on a Canvas or Panel etc. Thanks

• Django auth without "auth_*" tables

  We would like to use our own tables for user management instead of the Django "auth" tables. We already have database tables that include all of the relevant information our application needs but it isn't in the Django format. We would prefer not to have the information duplicated in two tables. We would like to utilize the auth package, though, as there is some very nice functionality that we don't want to replicate. I realize we could build our own auth backend, but that doesn't, as far as I can tell, remove the need for two sets of tables in this case. Am I correct in assuming that we cannot do this? I have found no docs that discuss how to modify the underlying model that the auth package is using. The backend simply pre-populates the user object that would eventually be saved in the auth tables. Thanks!

  I would like to create a scalable web service using Mnesia as database. However Mnesia per default isn't scalable for persistent storgage since it is using Dets (which has a 2GB limit) as backend. I have seen discussions about extending Mnesia with MnesiaEx and use tcerl as backend. It sounds good and have showed good performance. However, I have seen in a talk about Tokyo Cabinet and CouchDB with Mnesia that there are some issues: issues with durability issues with memory leaks issues with crashes Is tcerl + Mnesia really production ready? And is there any other alternatives? How doe´s companies overcome these issues if they use Mnesia in bigger systems? Is there a working solution with Mnesia and Tokyo Tyrant that is working better?

All the tabs in the itemrenderer have now the same width. The client however wants me to make the tabs width dynamically, so a smaller tab for a smaller label, a bigger one for a long label. • How do you adjust the frame or vertical alignment of a UIBarButtonItem contained by a UIToolbar inst

  Horizontal positioning of UIBarButtonItems is no problem, I can simply pad the space with fixed/flexible space items. However, I can't seem to adjust the toolbar item vertically. UIToolbar has no alignment property, and UIBarButtonItem has no way of setting its frame. I need to do this because we're using a mix of custom icons created using initWithImage, and standard icons created with initWithBarButtonSystemItem. The custom icons aren't being centered properly (they're offset upwards, relative to the system icons, which are centered properly), so the toolbar looks awkward.

I am using webservice to create Order in Oracle database and websvc will give a response (OrderNumber) and I will inform customer that his Order (OrderNumber) is generated My problem The creation of order is taking too much time in backend system and user is keeping refreshing the page, On each refresh user is coming back to Order create Page, so user is able to click on create Order button again In such cases multiple orders are creating for same orderlines.I can restrict user to create only one order per session in case I got order number in websvc response and I can give ordernumber to customer in next page But real problem come when I didn't get response(Ordernumber) and user is refreshing page. request is already went to Backend system and it will create order and my applicaion will not get response Is there any method in PHP where we can asyncronously check the status of order if first request is initiated by user and it doesn't matter the furthur page navigation Please help me out..   I'm trying to create a vertical toggle switch control for the iPhone (along the lines of UISwitch but vertical sliding). I was wondering whether an existing control already existed or if there are any good tutorials that explain the basics of creating custom controls for the iPhone. Currently I've tried using affine transforms to create the vertical switch from a basic UIswitch, and it works except that the slider is too small compared to the slider track, thus I'm looking for information on writing custom controls. • Font Anti-Aliasing on iPad SDK

  I'm using a custom pixel font on the iPad SDK, and I'm trying to find a way to disable font anti-aliasing for UIFont. Pixel fonts usually work best when they don't have Anti-aliasing. I disable it easily in Photoshop when I create static resources, but this time I need a dynamic output with the custom font. Any ideas? Thanks.
