    As the title sais: How can I use the Restful Authentication Plugin with Ruby on Rails. When I want to create a new user, it requires me a (wrong-named, confusing field) login (= username), email address and password. However, I want, like Facebook does, only require the user to enter an email address and password, not a username. People will also login with this email address. Can anyone help me?

    Hello, I am using Google Docs in my project using its API. I am loading docs in modal window iframe using http://fancybox.net/ a jquery plugin It works fine but when in Google Docs Save and Close button is press, it closes the iframe and redirects the current page to Google Docs, So is there any way I can prevent the redirection to Google Docs and just close the modal window? Thank You.

  • Google Web Toolkit in eclipse randomly requires me to reset GWT SDK

    I downloaded and install the latest version of Google App Engine Plugin into my Eclipse and created a project with it using both GAE SDK and GWT SDK. The funny thing is, randomly, my project become subjective to error, like the class RemoteServiceServlet cannot be resolved. The errors will be removed if I go to the configure tab of the project and change the GWT SDK from Default to Specific version (or vice versa). Has anyone ever encountered the same error? What the heck is it?

    I'm using Eclipse to write php and naturally I get color coding like all IDEs do. How do I get the same effect in a blog? See this example (scroll down to see the code colors), he has full colors, green, red, blue, pretty acceptable I'd say http://www.tellinya.com/read/2007/06/15/20.html Is there something that's standalone PHP that can achieve this, or do I need a plugin and install a CMS? I'd prefer standalone I guess if possible.

I know that the portablecontacts gem will retrieve contacts, but does not allow for adding or updating. I was wondering if anyone knew of a gem that will handle this type of interaction. If not what would be the best method to implement a gem that would make it easier to handle the responses.

I am looking for a rails plugin/gem that would easily do that, ie : current_user.backup() = backup_file current_user.restore(backup_file) = database import/replace I don't know if my question is very clear, but i would like to backup every user's related object (posts, comments, etc) and to be able to restore them from a backup file.     Question: How can you use the JQuery Auto-Completion plugin to suggest a location ("City, State") for an input field? Meaning, someone wants to type in "Chicago, IL" ... so they begin typing "Chi" and it auto-suggestions "Chicago, IL". My biggest hurdles is finding a service that I can query to find out all US city+state names. I essentially want to do what the StackOverflow "Tags" input form works but form "City, State" auto completion.

    I'm using the grails navigation plugin and one of the things i want to do is have the menu item have a dynamic number in it for example static navigation = [ group:'tabs', order:7, title:'Mail', action:'index', subItems: [ [action:'pending', order:1, title:"Pending"], [action:'active', order:10, title:'Active'], [action:'completed', order:11, title:'Completed'] ] ] So i want to figure out a way to make the title Mail(3) or Mail(2) based on the amount of messages a user has. I know this will have to be set in the method or by a service of some sort i'm just not sure how to get it to update.

    I have a text area in which users can type source code (html/css/js). I want to be able to let them click a "switch to fullscreen" link to make the editor fullscreen. Of course, this should work on any resolution and must also resize when a users resizes it's window. I found this plugin, http://plugins.jquery.com/project/fulltextarea, but it's not resizing when the browser windows is resized. Any tips or plugins for this one?
