    Hello, We have a CMS plugin that writes statistics to 1 table, this creates performance issues on the entire platform. We decided to use another statistics plugin which can connect to a different database server (the first plugin couldn't!) however we need parts of the first plugin. I want to lock the statistics table to prevent misusage (not allowed to drop it by the developer) So I was wondering if a lock table could do this or if I can implement some sort of read only table

    I have an ASP.NET MVC site that uses both Microsoft Ajax [Ajax.BeginForm()] and jQuery to make asynchronous requests. I want to configure both frameworks such that a generic error handler is automatically attached if the developer does not explicitly specify a failure callback. In jQuery I can accomplish this with either .ajaxSetup() or .ajaxError(). What is the equivalent in the Microsoft Ajax client library? I'm fairly sure it's something in the Sys object but I can't find it...

    Sometimes I watch screen casts where someone is using text mate. I'm a rails developer, so these are rails screen casts. They'll type something like: def for example and "end" will automatically appear underneath. I do have the bundle for Rails enabled - why doesn't this happen for me? Thanks!

    Hi there, Is there a way to change the name that displays on the AppStore, rather than the name associated with the credit card/apple ID associated with the developer programme? For example, if my name on my credit card was foo, and the name on the apple ID was foo, but I actually want the name displayed on the AppStore (i.e. next to my App's name and details) to be bar.     Should multiple developers work within the same branch, and update - modify - commit ? Or should each developer have his/her own each branch exclusively? And how would sharing branches impact an environment where you are doing routine maintenance as opposed to unmaintained code streams? Also, how would this work if you deploy each developers work as soon as it is done and passes testing (rapidly, as opposed to putting all of their work into a single release).

    I am writing a java servlet (struts/JSP etc). I am trying to style a progress bar using CSS in a JSP page but get this error when using chrome's developer tools: Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type text/plain. <%@ include file="../include/css/default.css" % And in the CSS file: background:url(../images/bg_bar.gif) no-repeat 0 0; Could anyone explain why this is and show how I can use this CSS in my page?

  • Debug assertion does not prompt in IIS 7

    Hi, since moving to Windows 7 (IIS 7.5), the debug assertions do not prompt a pop up dialog anymore. I have tested this in a separate project, and noticed that they do work when using the integrated Visual Studio Developer server (Cassini) but they do not work when using IIS Web Server. This is a big issue for us since we are counting on debug assertions to identify potential programming errors, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Eyal.

    Are we reduced to ClickOnce to manage our application state for our users? We use Visual Patch currently. When our users update (we reproduced this) we get errors from the updated versions to our compiled versions. Since our developer state is not 'updated' with Visual Patch how can we monitor and eventual squash the various System.MethodNotFound, and System.NullReferenceException in our updated versions of our application?

    I have installed Visual Studio Express Web Developer 2010 and boy it really slows my system down a lot. Is there a way to identify the services like SQL Server and set them to manual so I can avoid all my memory resources been occupied when not using Visual Studio?
