50 sequences in one line

I have Muttiple sequence alignment (clustal) file and i want to read this file and arrange sequences in a such a way that in looks more clear and precise in order. I am doing this from biopython using AlignIO object. My codes like this alignment = AlignIO.read("opuntia.aln", "clustal") print "Number of rows: %i" % len(align) for record in alignment: print "%s - %s" % (record.id, record.seq) My Output-- http://i48.tinypic.com/ae48ew.jpg , it looks messy and long scrolling. What i want to do is print only 50 sequences in each line and continue till the end of alignment file. Small gaps in section headers with custom headers - iPhone / Objective-C

Hi there! Since I wanted to use the standard section header with a different font size, I just made custom section headers by using an UIImageView with the standard section header as an image. It looks fine at first, but when I scroll the table, there are small gaps below and above the section headers: Since I am not allowed to post images or more than one hyperlink yet, I will have to provide you with one link to those images: Click me! Picture: How it looks like without touching anything Picture: Dragging the table down Picture: Dragging/Scrolling the table up So as you can hopefully see, there is a small empty gap under (2nd pic) and above (3rd pic) the section header. Another thing to mention is, that the standard behaviour of non-custom section headers is, that they don't become transparent when I drag the table down (making the table offset < 0.0). Is there a way to make custom section headers mimic the same behaviour without those annoying gaps? Greetings, Zhar

How can one use the "Add view" dialog in Visual Studio efficiently when working with ASP.NET MVC?

Does anyone else think that the add view dialog in VS is useless or is it just me? Why is there no search/filtering in there? I can not even paste the type name (without namespace) there to speed up the view creation. Plus, there are a lot of irrelevant classes there, including classes from all referenced libraries. Am I missing something or Microsoft never did any usability testing with that?? Is it possible to filter out types/assemblies in the dialog and/or better navigation compared to manually scrolling the combobox with all the types listed? Is it possible to include only types from a particular directory/assembly/namespace? (the ViewModels namespace for example) EDIT: As it seems from the answers that there is no usable workaround for this, I have filed a suggestion at Connect: https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=507784 Please vote for the suggestion if you find this is an important issue.

Scrollable display of multiple video icons

Hello, I want to have multiple video icons at the top my website's front page. I will have about 20 or so which won't fit on one line (I want to keep the videos on one like) so I thought of having two button on the right of the group and on the left of the group where you click to scroll and view more videos. Do you know an easy way to do this? I can pass in the video links from the server in different Divs or anyway that will make it easy. I thought of using AJAX and pass it different set every time from the server with every click (I'm using Rails and it's fairly easy to do it) but that will be an extra load on the server which I'm trying to avoid. I'd rather send all the icons at once and let the JavaScript handle the scrolling. I thought of using iFrame but I don't like the idea of scrollbar and wanted to be more like button Any ideas? GridView items are displaying the wrong drawables sometimes.

I've implemented a GridView based on this tutorial. It works great unless open up the search dialog or rotate the screen then scroll around. When the search dialog and virtual keyboard appear, the drawables for each of my grid items shift. I can click on them and they do what I expect, except the drawable is wrong. The same problem happens when I go into landscape mode and scroll around. If I scroll down, up, the down again, the drawables are shuffled. For better illustration, let's say I have three objects, each with an image. Obj A shows an Apple Obj B shows a Banana Obj C shows a Cantaloupe When the shift occurs I end up with: Obj A shows an Cantaloupe Obj B shows a Banana Obj C shows a Apple The problem isn't consistent between the two causes (search dialog and screen rotate n' scroll), but each cause itself is consistent. Scrolling around repeatedly reveals a pattern as does the search dialog appearing. How can I stop this from happening?

jquery simplemodal question (about window overflow)

I noticed that if the height of the window is too small (meaning that the modal is taller than the window is), then even scrolling up or down won't reveal more of the modal, since it is constantly centering itself to the center of the window. Is there a good way of changing this? I have a tall modal that if someone's using a short monitor it may cause problems. Not to mention just general usability. I would guess that somewhere in the code you can test for if the window height is less than the modal to not worry about centering it vertically? Ideas?

Dojo slider: update value dynamically

I am building an application where the user browses certain objects by scrolling and zooming. To change the zoom level I have successfully implemented a "dijit.form.HorizontalSlider" object. Every time the user changes the position of the silder, I can catch the "onChange" call and do something with that. However, the user can also zoom-in by double clicking inside the view zone, at which point the slider should change position automatically to reflect the new zoom level. My question is the following: what function or method should I call in my javascript to update the position of a dojo silder ? ScrollViewer GridView XAML

I am currently building a Windows 8 XAML C# application. In a page I have a scrollviewer for horizontal swiping and scrolling. I have several controls in it which work really well with the scorllviewer. But when you scroll and your cursor is on top of the ListView / GridView, then that control will handle scrollnig instead of the scrollviewer. With swiping this doesn't happen, but with the mouse scrollwheel it stops the scrollvieweing scroll. Does anybody know how to disable this behavior or have a workaround?

I am to work with one application that is having operations like PDF loading,annotation, scrolling,zooming and other such functions. Now my question is that i am little bit confused about what template i should use as i went through Quartz 2D Programming Guide and was little bit confused whether i'll be able to apply the above shown functions with the same guideline,as it displays the pdf page on the whole screen. Safari/Chrome (Webkit) - Cannot hide iframe vertical scrollbar

Hello, I have an iframe on www.mydomain.com that points to support.mydomain.com (which is a CNAME to a foreign domain). I automatically resize the height of my iframe so that the frame will not need any scrollbars to display the contained webpage. On Firefox and IE this works great, there is no scrollbar since I use <iframe ... scrolling="no"></iframe>. However, on webkit browsers (Safari and Chrome), the vertical scrollbar persists even when there is sufficient room for the page without the scrollbar (the scrollbar is grayed out). How do I hide the scrollbar for webkit browsers? Thanks, Ken

Common, reusable iPhone-App configuration screen

I'm writing code that will allow my iphone-app to have a "configuration page". A grouped, scrolling, UITableView... with cells that contain the needed textFields, switches, sliders, etc. It is an ENOURMOUS amount of code. Is there an easier way? Is there a way I could create a simple text-file, contain all my desired design choices and have my (reusable) code build the TableView for me? Or... can I just do the whole thing quicker/easier in Interface Builder instead of code?

on the page: onCreate called for two tabs each time one tab is selected there is explained how the ABS(actually ViewPager) is working in order for ViewPager to be able to do a scrolling. It is clear that at least a prev/next page need all to be created at the same time. Would it be possible to "cache" more than just prev/next Views(Fragments), in a way: I am on Page 1 and there I have a network call to fetch some data(doing this in Activity, not in Fragment - btw. is this OK?) switch to Page 2, and then switch to Page 3, and then switch to Page 1 = Here my page is recreated (using some caching though, BUT, I do not need any recreation if possible) So, it would be nice to cache all the pages. How to accomplish this If possible in current version (4), or this would be some new feature? Or even better question, how to postpond/disable destroying of views?

How do I make the height of the content-display and nav-menu-container elements extend to the remaining height of the browser window as the browser height is being adjusted by a user provided the height in the browser window is greater than 400px (The height of the header plus the nav-menu-container)? I would like for the scrollbar to be inside the nav-menu-content element if the total height in the browser is greater than the sum of the height of the header (100px) and the nav-menu-container element (300px). If the browser window's height is less than 400px then a scrollbar would appear in the browser window to allow scrolling throughout the 100px header and the 300px min-height of the below elements. I want to use VI-like commands in Web Browser?

I love VI and I'm looking for a plugin of some sort that would allow me to input text in my browser (preferably Firefox or Chrome) using VI commands. It would save me an immense amount of time and at the same time when writing long emails. Can anyone think of any plugins that would allow me to do this? I was hopeful with Vimperator (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4891) but after installing it, I realized that it didn't do the one VI think I wanted to do: create or edit a text box with VI commands. It just allowed me to do Browser commands and scrolling in VI-style.

Frame skipping with OpenGL and WinAPI?

Here is my situation. I'm creating a drawing application using OpenGL and WinAPI. My OpenGL frame has scrollbars which renders the screen and modifies GlTranslatef when it gets a scroll message. The problem is wen I get too many shapes the scrollbar is less responsive since it cannot rerender it each and every time it gets a scroll message. How could I make it so the scrollbar has priority. I want it to skip drawing if it would compromise the smoothness of the scrolling. I thought of doing rendering on a separate thread but I was told all UI things should stay on the same thread. C# Virtual Mode List View Click 1 Selects More Than One Items

I have a list view with virtual mode set to true and other things. It doing ok. But 1) Say there are 25 items and 15 of them are visible, that is to see the rest of 10 items need to scroll down. 2) Before scrolling swap two items, say myItems[0], it must be visible & myItems[20], it must be not visible scroll required. 3) Now select the first item, it was swapped, you now have two items selected, both 0 indexed and 20 indexed ones. When after swap, those two list view items are of same Position and same Bounds. But before 20-indexed item's Position was (-1, -1) and Bounds was (0,0,0,0). How come 0-indexed item didn't change its position & size? How to solve this ?

c# RichTextBox Tab size

Hello, I'm using System.Windows.Forms.RichTextBox and by default the tab size is 8 spaces. The RichTextBox itself is not that big and 8 spaces leads to a lot of scrolling. Is there any way to make it 4 spaces. If it matters, the control is initially blank and the user starts entering stuff and the tabs have to shorter (4 spaces) as the user enters text with tabs. I tried http://stackoverflow.com/questions/154204/modifying-default-tab-size-in-richtextbox and a few variations of it but no luck.

Morphing content based on window part focus

What I'm trying to achieve is basically have a code that will morph ( move around the page ) based on the part of the window which is currently viewed. Scenario : - actual page height : 2000px - actual screen height( pc, laptop whatever ) : 800px - 1 image of 600px - 3 div's or virtual boxes ( just to prove what I want to do ) Workflow When you open the page, you'd see the first part of the page with the image loaded in the first div. What I want and need to achieve is when scrolling the page, and the focus would be on the second div ( or the image simply gets out of focus - you can't see it no more ), the image would move ( disappear from the first box ) and appear in the second one, which is currently visible. The idea might seem pretty easy but I'm not Javascript savvy. Ideally, the answer should include a way to load a Javascript instead of that image.
