  Hi! I have a gcc project and would like to automatically add defines for build date and revision number (from git) to my sources. What's the best way to do this? My goal is simple to be able to do something like this on startup: printf("Test app build on %s, revision %d", BUILD_DATE, REVISION) For building I'm using make with a simple Makefile.inc, not autoconf ot anything like this. I am trying to build the libraries from source using Visual Studio 2010 Beta and CMake, but I am getting lot of errors. I even tried generating the libs from dlls using dumpbin but the linker errors are still persisting. Please guide me to generate the static libs for VS2010.

• How to import RoR project to Netbeans

  I have very simple (in fact empty ) project which i have created by rails new MyProject command from command-line. So, i want to import it to NetBeans IDE. I click "new project" - "RoR" - "from existing source", select Ruby 1.9.2 (instead of embedded JRuby) in the wizard form. After that i have got errors [see the picture below]: So.. i click OK. It's drastically improved productivity for me and I doubt there is anything as good as JSLint for the price (it's free).
