  • Code a timer in a python GUI in TKinter

    I need to code a program with GUI in python (I'm thinking of using TKinter, 'cause it's easy, but I'm open to suggestions). My major problem is that I don't know how to code a timer (like a clock... like 00:00:00,00 hh:mm:ss,00 ) I need it to update it self (that's what I don't know how to do) Another question is how do I put a program in the system tray (I don't think it's called like that in Linux) for UBUNTU.

    I added the legend this way: leg = fig.legend((l0,l1,l2,l3,l4,l5,l6), ('0 Cl : r2, slope, origin', '1 Cl :'+str(r1b)+' , '+str(m1)+' , '+str(b1), '2 Cl :'+str(r2b)+' , '+str(m2)+' , '+str(b2), '3 Cl :'+str(r3b)+' , '+str(m3)+' , '+str(b3), '4 Cl :'+str(r4b)+' , '+str(m4)+' , '+str(b4), '5 Cl :'+str(r5b)+' , '+str(m5)+' , '+str(b5), '6 Cl :'+str(r6b)+' , '+str(m6)+' , '+str(b6), ), 'upper right') but the legend appears inside the plot. How can I tell matplotlib to put it to the right of the plot and at the right?

    I have the following code: [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:0.5 target:self selector:@selector(timerCount:) userInfo:nil repeats:YES]; -(void)timerCount:(NSTimer *)timer { NSTimeInterval dt = [timer timeInterval]; // do something } The NSTimeInterval I got will be 0.5, the time interval I've put on scheduledTimerWithInterval, this means the timerCount will be called each 0.5 seconds. But I now that there are some stuff as timeStamps, and I want to know if the NSTimer will call the timerCount method in PRECISELY 0.5 seconds each time.

  • Problem in vertical navigation menu using css sprites

    Hello all I am trying to create to a vertical navigation menu using CSS sprites. I want to put in it a hover effect where the menu option slides out a bit. a:link { background: url(images/nav.png); background-position: -100px 0px; width: 150px; } a:hover { background: url(images/nav.png); background-position: -100px 0px; width: 160px; } So I am using the same image, I am just increasing its size to create a pop out effect. But my problem is that right now the image's size is increasing to the right. I want to keep the image's base aligned and its head should pop out.   • Manifest or Theme/Style for a IWebBrowser2 control?

    The IWebBrowser2 control has password edit boxes which are squares. This happened many years ago if you were on an XP machine, and you had a password edit field without a manifest file, you would get squares (no character found for the * they put in there with that font). My application has a manifest file. However I don't know how to give a manifest or set the theme or style of the control that is created. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi Wish to know that I have a program which uses two threads I have put the break point in both the threads. While running the program under gdb I want to switch between the threads and make them run. (thread t1 is active and running and thread t2 hold on the breakpoint I want to stop T1 running and run the T2) Is there any way that I can schedule the threads in gdb. Thanks Arpit

However if I place them in a usercontrol, and then try to add this user control to the parent page via updatepanel, then my custom validators just won't trigger. They simply don't work.     I am trying to add in a new driver to our system running under Tomcat. The vendor has provided a JPos driver, my question is where to put the jpos.xml file so Tomcat can find it? I tried putting it in tomcat\common\classes but still get a JPOSException "Service does not exist in loaded JCL registry" when I try to open it. Help!

  • Duplicate content in ASP.NET MVC because of custom routes MapRoute(), are areas the rescue?

    I use custom routes for my URLs and my action become accessible via two URLs (not counting trailing slash and lower\upper case letters): one via my custom route /my-custom-route-url/ and one via default /controller/action. I see one possible solution -- put all controllers which use default routing (they are mostly backend) in one area, and place all others in separate area and use it without default route. May be there is a better way?

  • Why MAMP sets to 600 MySQL file permission?

    I usually put MAMP MySQL /db/db-site-name folder under SVN. When MAMP starts, it gives the drw------- (600) permission to all the files and dir in that folder. I have a problem because one of these folder is .svn one, that have to be drwxr-xr-x (755), otherwise I can't access to SVN working copy with my client. Can anyone help me to set MAMP properly?

  • Problem with GetDefaultPrinter() over a VPN c++

    I am writing an application that gets its dimensions from the paper ratio of the default printer of the local computer. This all works well unless the default printer is over a VPN. When this is the case, calling GetDefaultPrinter() takes too long. I need to find a way to put a time constraint on GetDefaultPrinter() and if it exceeds that constraint, break out of the function.
