If I'm using python streaming and I have python packages my mappers/reducers require that aren't installed by default do I need to install those on all the hadoop machines as well or is there some sort of serialization that sends them to the remote machines? thanks!

    Hi, I'm not familiar with Java but I need to make a request to a remote webservice from within my applet. The webservice (.Net 1.1) uses HttpContext.Current.Request.UserLanguages[0] to determine the language to use. But the value of this member is alway null. So is there a way to pass the Accept-Language header along with something like "en-GB" set?

    I have webservices deployed on two containers in two separate servers A and B. A webMethod in 'Server A' needs to invoke a webmethod in 'Server B'. I have created a client stub for Sever B. Im trying to make 'Server A' use this client stub and talk to Server B. I get an exception while trying to instantiate the port object specifically at : service.getABCBeanPort(); (using JAX-WS library) Is my approach correct? Is there any better way of invoking a webservice on a remote server?

And got following code sample (i.e FrontPage RPC (Remote Procedure Calls)) I am not getting use of "put document: 12.0.0.4518" and "string serviceName = "http://servername/sitename/_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.dll";". I have worked on code but it is showing " Response time Out" error. But since i can't understand the code.It is not possible for me to solve this or any future problem.

Problem now is that I can't run "android update sdk" since it expects to be connected to a display and Im connected to a remote headless server through ssh (its a build server so there's no desktop env).     I need the timestamps of files on my local and on my server to be in sync. This is accomplished with Subversion by setting use-commit-times=true in the config so that the last modified of each file is when it was committed. Each time I clone my repository, I want the timestamps of files to reflect when they were last changed in the remote repository, not when I cloned the repo. Is there any way to do this with git?
